Psalm 108

1 Ein Lied, ein Psalm Davids. Mein Herz ist bereit, o Gott, ich will singen, will Psalmen singen, auch meine Herrlichkeit.

A song or Psalme of David. O God, mine heart is prepared, so is my tongue: I will sing and giue praise.

2 Psalter und Harfe wachet auf, ich will das Morgenrot wecken.

Awake viole and harpe: I will awake early.

3 Ich will Dich bekennen, Jehovah, unter den Völkern, und Dir Psalmen singen unter den Volksstämmen.

I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people, and I wil sing vnto thee among the nations.

4 Denn über die Himmel groß ist Deine Barmherzigkeit, und Deine Wahrheit bis an die Ätherkreise.

For thy mercy is great aboue the heauens, and thy trueth vnto the clouds.

5 Erhöhe Dich über die Himmel, o Gott, und über die ganze Erde Deine Herrlichkeit.

Exalt thy self, O God, aboue the heauens, and let thy glorie be vpon all the earth,

6 Auf daß gerettet werden Deine Lieben, rette mit Deiner Rechten und antworte mir.

That thy beloued may be deliuered: helpe with thy right hand and heare me.

7 Gott hat geredet in Seiner Heiligkeit: Ich will jauchzen, Ich will Schechem verteilen und den Talgrund Sukkoth ausmessen.

God hath spoken in his holinesse: therefore I will reioyce, I shall deuide Shechem and measure the valley of Succoth.

8 Mein ist Gilead, Mein Menascheh, und Ephraim ist Meines Hauptes Stärke, Mein Gesetzgeber Jehudah!

Gilead shalbe mine, and Manasseh shalbe mine: Ephraim also shalbe the strength of mine head: Iuda is my lawgiuer.

9 Moab, der Topf Meines Waschens, über Edom werfe Ich Meinen Schuh, über Philistäa will Ich jubeln.

Moab shalbe my washpot: ouer Edom wil I cast out my shoe: vpon Palestina wil I triumph.

10 Wer wird mich geleiten zu der festen Stadt, wer mich bis Edom führen?

Who will leade mee into the strong citie? who will bring me vnto Edom?

11 Nicht Du, o Gott, Der Du uns verstoßen, und nicht auszogst, o Gott in unseren Heerscharen?

Wilt not thou, O God, which haddest forsaken vs, and diddest not goe foorth, O God, with our armies?

12 Gib Du uns Beistand von dem Dränger. Ist eitel doch das Heil des Menschen.

Giue vs helpe against trouble: for vaine is the helpe of man.

13 Mit Gott wollen wir Tapferes tun; und Er zertritt unsere Dränger.

Through God we shall doe valiantly: for he shall treade downe our enemies.
