4 Mose 4
1 Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und zu Aharon und sprach:
Then Yahweh said to Moses/me,
2 Nehmet auf die Kopfzahl der Söhne Kohaths aus der Mitte der Söhne Levis nach ihren Familien, nach ihrer Väter Haus,
“Write down the names of the men who belong to the clans descended from Levi.
3 Von dreißig Jahren aufwärts bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Heer ausziehen, auf daß sie die Arbeit tun im Versammlungszelt.
Write the names of the men who are between 30 and 50 years old. These will be men who will work at the Sacred Tent.
4 Dies ist der Dienst von Kohaths Söhnen im Versammlungszelt: Der allerheiligste ist er.
“The work of these descendants of Kohath will be [to take care of] the sacred items [that are used when the people worship] at the Sacred Tent.
5 Und Aharon und seine Söhne sollen kommen, wenn das Lager aufbricht, und abnehmen den Vorhang der Decke und bedecken damit die Lade des Zeugnisses.
When you Israelis move to another location, Aaron and his sons must enter the tent to take down the curtain that separates the Very Holy Place from the other part of the Sacred Tent. They must cover the sacred chest with that curtain.
6 Und geben darüber eine Decke von Dachsfell und breiten darüber ein Tuch gänzlich von Purpurblau, und legen ihre Stangen an.
Then they must cover that with a nice covering made from the skins of goats. Over that they must spread a blue cloth. Then they must insert into the rings on the chest the poles [for carrying it].
7 Und über den Schaubrottisch sollen sie ein purpurblaues Tuch breiten und auf denselben die Schüsseln und Platten und die Becher und die Trankopferschalen stellen; und das beständige Brot soll darauf sein.
“Then they must put a blue cloth over the table on which the priests put the sacred bread. On top of the cloth they must put the bowls [for incense], the pans, the other dishes, the jars for [the wine that will be] offered as a sacrifice, and the sacred bread.
8 Und sollen ein Tuch von Scharlach doppelt gefärbt darüberbreiten, und es mit einer Decke von Dachsfellen bedecken, und seine Stangen anlegen.
Over all of this they must spread a scarlet/red cloth. Finally, they must put on top a nice covering made from the skins of goats. Then they must insert into the [rings at the corners of] the tables the poles [for carrying it].
9 Und sollen nehmen ein purpurblaues Tuch, und den Leuchter der Beleuchtung und seine Lampen und seine Lichtputzen und seine Kohlenpfannen und alle seine Ölgeräte, womit sie dabei Dienst tun, damit bedecken;
“Then with another blue cloth they must cover the lampstand, the lamps, the lamp snuffers, the trays, and the special jars of [olive] oil [to burn in the lamps].
10 Und sollen um ihn und um all seine Gerätschaften eine Decke von Dachsfellen legen und auf die Trage stellen.
They must cover the lampstand and all the other items with a nice covering made from the skins of goats. They must place all these things on a frame for carrying them.
11 Und über den goldenen Altar sollen sie ein purpurblaues Tuch breiten und mit einer Decke von Dachsfellen bedecken und die Stangen anlegen;
“Then they must spread another blue cloth over the gold altar [which is used for burning] incense. Over this they must spread a nice covering made from the skins of goats. Then they must insert into [the rings of] that altar the poles for carrying it.
12 Und nehmen alles Geräte des Dienstes, womit sie Dienst tun im Heiligtum, und in ein purpurblaues Tuch legen und mit einer Decke von Dachsfellen bedecken und auf die Trage bringen.
“They must take all the other items that are inside the Sacred Tent and wrap them in a blue cloth, cover that with a nice covering made from the skins of goats, and place all that on a frame for carrying it.
13 Und von dem Altar sollen sie die Fettasche wegnehmen und darüber ein purpurrotes Tuch breiten;
“Then they must remove the ashes from the altar [on which they have burned sacrifices]. Then they must cover the altar with a purple cloth.
14 Und darauf alle seine Geräte, damit sie darauf Dienst tun, die Kohlpfannen, die Fleischgabeln, die Schaufeln und die Sprengbecken, alle Geräte des Altars legen und darüber eine Decke von Dachsfellen breiten, und die Stangen anlegen.
Then they must spread on top of the cloth all the items used at the altar—the pans [for carrying the hot coals], the meat forks, the shovels, the bowls [for containing the blood to sprinkle on the people], and all the other containers. Then they must spread over all those things a nice covering made from the skins of goats. Then they must insert into [the rings at the sides of] the altar the poles [for carrying it].
15 Und wenn Aharon und seine Söhne das Heiligtum und alle Gerätschaft des Heiligtums völlig bedeckt haben, wenn das Lager aufbricht, so sollen nachher die Söhne Kohaths kommen zum Tragen, auf daß sie nicht das Heiligtum berühren und sterben. Das ist, was die Kohathiten an dem Versammlungszelt zu tragen haben.
“Then Aaron and his sons have finished covering all these sacred things, the Israeli people will be ready to move [to a new location]. The descendants of Kohath must come and carry all the sacred things to [the next place] where you Israelis will set up your tents. But the descendants of Kohath must not touch any of these sacred items, because they will [immediately] die [if they touch them]. They are the ones who will carry these things, [but they must not touch them].
16 Und es sei anvertraut dem Eleasar, dem Sohne Aharons, des Priesters, das Beleuchtungsöl und das Räuchwerk der Spezereien und das beständige Speiseopfer und das Salböl. Die Bestellung der ganzen Wohnung und von allem, was darin ist, im Heiligtum und in seinem Geräte.
“Aaron’s son Eleazar will have the work of taking care of the [olive] oil for the lamps, the nice-smelling incense, the grain which will be burned on the altar each day, and the [olive] oil for anointing [the priests]. Eleazar is the one who will supervise the work that is done at the Sacred Tent and the men who take care of everything that is in it.”
17 Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und zu Aharon und sprach:
“Then Yahweh said to Aaron and Moses/me,
18 Lasset den Stamm der Familien des Kohathiten aus der Mitte der Leviten nicht ausgerottet werden.
“When the descendants of Kohath approach the sacred items in the Sacred Tent [to take them to another location], Aaron and his sons must always go in with them and show each of them what work to do and what things to carry. But the descendants of Kohath must not enter the Sacred Tent [at any other time] and look at the things that are in it. If they do that, I will get rid of all the descendants of Kohath.”
19 Und tuet ihnen also, auf daß sie leben und nicht sterben, wenn sie zu dem Allerheiligsten herzutreten: Aharon und seine Söhne sollen hineingehen und jeden Mann setzen an seinen Dienst und was er zu tragen hat.
20 Und sie sollen nicht hineingehen, um das Heiligtum zu sehen, wenn es eingehüllt wird, und sie sterben.
21 Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und sprach:
Yahweh also said to Moses/me,
22 Nehmet auf die Kopfzahl der Söhne Gerschons, auch sie, nach ihrer Väter Haus, nach ihren Familien;
“Write down the names of all the men who belong to the clans descended from the Gershon [division of the descendants of Levi].
23 Von ihrem dreißigsten Jahre und aufwärts bis zum fünfzigsten Jahre sollst du sie mustern, alle, die kommen auszurücken zum Heere, auf daß sie Dienst tun im Versammlungszelt.
Write the names of the men who are between 30 and 50 years old. They will be men who will also work at the Sacred Tent.
24 Das ist der Dienst der Familie des Gerschoniten, zu dienen und zu tragen.
“This is the work that they must do and the things that they must carry [when you move to a new location]:
25 Und sie sollen tragen die Teppiche der Wohnung und das Versammlungszelt, seine Decke und die Decke von Dachsfellen, die oben darüber ist, und die Decke zu dem Eingang des Versammlungszeltes;
They must carry the curtains of the Sacred Tent; they must carry the Sacred Tent and all the things that cover it, including the nice outer covering made from skins of goats, and the curtain which is at the entrance of the Sacred Tent.
26 Und die Umhänge des Vorhofs und die Decke des Eingangs des Tors zum Vorhof, der um die Wohnung und den Altar ringsum ist, und ihre Seile und alle Geräte des Dienstes, und alles, was dafür getan werden muß, auf daß sie dienen.
They must also carry the curtains that form the wall that surrounds the courtyard that surrounds the Sacred Tent and the altar, the curtain that is at the entrance to the courtyard, and the ropes [that fasten the curtains]. They must also do the packing and loading of these things.
27 Nach dem Munde Aharons und seiner Söhne soll aller Dienst der Söhne des Gerschoniten geschehen, alles, was sie zu tragen und alles, was sie zu dienen haben; und ihr sollt in ihre Hut bestellen alles, was sie zu tragen haben.
Aaron and his sons will supervise the work of all the descendants of Gershom. That work includes carrying those things and doing other work that is necessary for moving them. They must tell each of the descendants of Gershom what things they must carry.
28 Das ist der Dienst der Familien der Söhne des Gerschoniten im Versammlungszelt. Und ihre Hut ist unter der Hand Ithamars des Sohnes des Priesters Aharon.
Those are the tasks that you must give to the men who belong to the clans descended from Gershom. Aaron’s son Ithamar is the one who will supervise their work.
29 Meraris Söhne sollst du nach ihren Familien, nach ihrer Väter Haus mustern.
Count also the men who belong to the clans descended from Levi’s son Merari.
30 Vom dreißigsten Jahre und aufwärts bis zum fünfzigsten sollst du sie mustern. Jeder, der zum Heer käme, soll dienen seinen Dienst im Versammlungszelt.
Write the names of the men who are between 30 and 50 years old. They will be men who will also work at the Sacred Tent.
31 Und das ist die Hut ihres Tragens von allem Dienste im Versammlungszelt: Die Bretter der Wohnung und ihre Riegel und ihre Säulen und ihre Untersätze;
Their work will be to carry the frames that hold up the tent, the crossbars, the posts [that hold up the curtains], and the bases.
32 Und die Säulen des Vorhofs ringsum und ihre Untersätze und ihre Pflöcke und ihre Seile und alle ihre Geräte, und alles, was zum Dienste gehört; allen nach ihren Namen sollt ihr die Geräte ihrer Hut zum Tragen anvertrauen.
They must also carry the posts for [the curtains that form the walls of] the courtyard and the bases for the posts, the tent pegs, and the ropes [to fasten the curtains]. Tell each man what things he must carry.
33 Dies sei der Dienst der Familien der Söhne Meraris nach all ihrem Dienste im Versammlungszelt unter der Hand von Ithamar, Aharons Sohn, des Priesters.
Those are the tasks that the descendants of Merari must do at the Sacred Tent. Aaron’s son Ithamar is the one who will supervise them.”
34 Und Mose und Aharon und die Fürsten der Gemeinde musterten die Söhne des Kohathiten nach ihren Familien und nach dem Hause ihrer Väter,
So Aaron and Moses/I and the Israeli leaders counted the descendants of Kohath, writing also the names of their clans and family groups.
35 Vom dreißigsten Jahre und darüber und bis zum fünfzigsten Jahre, alle, die zum Heere kommen, auf daß sie dienen im Versammlungszelt.
They/We counted all the men who were between 30 and 50 years old who were able to work at the Sacred Tent.
36 Und ihre Gemusterten nach ihren Familien waren zweitausendsiebenhundertfünfzig.
The total was 2,750 men.
37 Das sind die Gemusterten der Familien des Kohathiten, die alle im Versammlungszelte dienen sollten, welche Mose und Aharon nach dem Munde Jehovahs durch die Hand Moses musterten;
They were the descendants of Kohath who [were able to] work at the Sacred Tent. Aaron and Moses/I counted them just as Yahweh had commanded Moses/me.
38 Und die Gemusterten der Söhne Gerschons nach ihren Familien nach ihrer Väter Haus,
They/We also counted the descendants of Gershon, writing also the names of their clans and family groups.
39 Vom dreißigsten Jahre aufwärts bis zum fünfzigsten Jahre, alle, die zum Heere kamen für den Dienst im Versammlungszelt;
They/We counted all the men who were between 30 and 50 years old who were able to work at the Sacred Tent.
40 Und ihre Gemusterten nach ihren Familien, nach ihrer Väter Haus waren zweitausendsechshundertdreißig.
The total was 2,630 men.
41 Das sind die Gemusterten der Familien der Söhne Gerschons, alle, die im Versammlungszelte dienen sollten, welche Mose und Aharon nach dem Munde Jehovahs musterten.
They were the descendants of Gershon who [were able to] work at the Sacred Tent. Aaron and Moses/I counted them as Yahweh had commanded.
42 Und die Gemusterten der Familien der Söhne Meraris nach ihren Familien nach dem Haus ihrer Väter;
They/We also counted the descendants of Merari, writing also the names of their clans and family groups.
43 Vom dreißigsten Jahre aufwärts bis zum fünfzigsten Jahre, alle, die zum Heere kamen, für den Dienst im Versammlungszelt;
They/We counted all the men who were between 30 and 50 years old who were able to work at the Sacred Tent.
44 Und ihre Gemusterten nach ihren Familien waren dreitausendzweihundert.
The total was 3,200 men.
45 Das sind die Gemusterten der Familien von Meraris Söhnen, die Mose und Aharon nach dem Munde Jehovahs durch Moses Hand musterten.
They were the descendants of Merari who [were able to] work. Aaron and Moses/I counted them as Yahweh had commanded Moses/me.
46 Alle Gemusterten, die Mose und Aharon und die Fürsten Israels bei den Leviten nach ihren Familien und nach ihrer Väter Haus musterten,
So Aaron and Moses/I and the Israeli leaders counted all the descendants of Levi, writing also the names of their clans and family groups.
47 Vom dreißigsten Jahre und aufwärts bis zum fünfzigsten Jahre, alle, die zum Dienen des Dienstes des Dienens kamen und zum Dienst des Tragens im Versammlungszelt;
They/We counted all the men who were between 30 and 50 years old. They were ones who [were able to] work at the Sacred Tent and who carried the tent and everything that was connected with it.
48 Und ihre Gemusterten waren achttausendfünfhundertachtzig;
The total was 8,580 men.
49 Nach dem Befehle Jehovahs durch Moses Hand musterte man sie, jeden Mann zu seinem Dienst und zu was er zu tragen hatte und was ihm anvertraut war, wie Jehovah dem Mose geboten hatte.
They/We completed the counting [of all the descendants of Levi], as Yahweh had commanded Moses/me. And they/we told each man what work he was to do and what things he must carry [when they moved to a new location].
