4 Mose 26

1 Und es geschah nach der Plage, daß Jehovah sprach zu Mose und zu Eleasar, dem Sohne Aharons, des Priesters; und Er sprach:

After the blood of the guilty was shed, the Lord said to Moses, and to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest:

2 Nehmet auf die Kopfzahl der ganzen Gemeinde der Söhne Israels vom zwanzigsten Jahre und aufwärts nach dem Hause ihrer Väter, alle, die im Heer ausziehen in Israel.

“Number the entire sum of the sons of Israel, from twenty years and above, by their houses and kinships, all who are able to go forth to war.”

3 Und Mose und Eleasar, der Priester, redete mit ihnen in Arboth Moab am Jordan, bei Jericho und sprachen:

And so, Moses and Eleazar the priest, who were in the plains of Moab, above the Jordan, opposite Jericho, spoke to those who were

4 Vom zwanzigsten Jahre an und aufwärts, wie Jehovah dem Mose und den Söhnen Israels, die aus Ägyptenland auszogen, geboten hat.

from twenty years and above, just as the Lord had commanded. And this is their number:

5 Ruben, Israels Erstgeborener: Söhne Rubens waren Chanoch, die Familie der Chanochiten; von Phallu die Familie der Phalluiten;

Ruben, the firstborn of Israel; his son, Hanoch, from whom is the family of the Hanochites; and Pallu, from whom is the family of the Palluites;

6 Von Chezron die Familie der Chezroniten, von Charmi die Familie der Charmiten;

and Hezron, from whom is the family of the Hezronites; and Carmi, from whom is the family of the Carmites.

7 Dies sind die Familien der Rubeniten. Ihrer Gemusterten aber waren es dreiundvierzigtausendsiebenhundertdreißig;

These are the families of the stock of Ruben, whose number was found to be forty-three thousand and seven hundred thirty.

8 Und die Söhne Phallus Eliab.

The son of Phallu: Eliab;

9 Und die Söhne Eliabs Nemuel und Dathan und Abiram - das waren Dathan und Abiram, Berufene der Gemeinde, die zankten mit Mose und mit Aharon in der Gemeinde Korachs, als sie wider Jehovah zankten.

his sons, Nemuel and Dathan and Abiram. These are Dathan and Abiram, the leaders of the people, who rose up against Moses and Aaron in the sedition at Korah, when they rebelled against the Lord.

10 Und die Erde öffnete ihren Mund und verschlang sie und Korach, da die Gemeinde starb, indem das Feuer die zweihundertfünfzig Männer auffraß und sie zum Zeichen wurden.

And the earth, opening its mouth, devoured Korah, with many others dying, when the fire burned two hundred fifty men. And a great miracle was wrought,

11 Korachs Söhne waren aber nicht gestorben.

so that, when Korah perished, his sons did not perish.

12 Die Söhne Simeons nach ihren Familien: Von Nemuel die Familie der Nemueliten, von Jamin die Familie der Jaminiten, von Jachin die Familie der Jachiniten;

The sons of Simeon, by their kinships: Nemuel, from him is the family of the Nemuelites; Jamin, from him is the family of the Jaminites; Jachin, from him is the family of the Jachinites;

13 Von Serach die Familie der Serachiten, von Schaul die Familie der Schauliten.

Sohar, from him is the family of the Soharites; Shaul, from him is the family of the Shaulites.

14 Dies sind die Familien der Simeoniten: Zweiundzwanzigtausendzweihundert.

These are the families of the stock of Simeon, whose entire number was twenty-two thousand two hundred.

15 Die Söhne Gads nach ihren Familien: Von Zephon die Familie der Zephoniten, von Chaggi die Familie der Chaggiten, von Schuni die Familie der Schuniten;

The sons of Gad, by their kinships: Zephon, from him is the family of the Zephonites; Haggi, from him is the family of the Haggites; Shuni, from him is the family of the Shunites;

16 Von Osni die Familie der Osniten, von Eri die Familie der Eriten;

Ozni, from him is the family of the Oznites; Eri, from him is the family of the Erites;

17 Von Arod die Familie der Aroditen; von Areli die Familie der Areliten.

Arod, from him is the family of the Arodites; Areli, from him is the family of the Arelites.

18 Dies sind die Familien der Söhne Gads nach ihren Gemusterten: vierzigtausendfünfhundert.

These are the families of Gad, whose entire number was forty thousand five hundred.

19 Die Söhne Judahs: Er und Onan. Und Er und Onan starben im Lande Kanaan.

The sons of Judah: Er and Onan, who both died in the land of Canaan.

20 Und die Söhne Judahs waren nach ihren Familien: Von Schelah die Familie der Schelaniten, von Perez die Familie der Parziten, von Serach die Familie der Sarchiten.

And these were the sons of Judah, by their kinships: Shelah, from whom is the family of the Shelahites; Perez, from whom is the family of the Perezites; Zerah, from whom is the family of the Zerahites.

21 Und die Söhne des Perez waren: Von Chezron die Familie der Chezroniten, von Chamul die Familie der Chamuliten.

Moreover, the sons of Phares were: Hezron, from whom is the family of the Hezronites; and Hamul, from whom is the family of the Hamulites.

22 Dies sind die Familien Judahs nach ihren Gemusterten: sechsundsiebzigtausendfünfhundert.

These are the families of Judah, whose entire number was seventy-six thousand five hundred.

23 Die Söhne Issaschars nach ihren Familien: Von Thola die Familie der Tholaiten; von Puvah die Familie der Puniten.

The sons of Issachar, by their kinships: Tola from whom is the family of the Tolaites; Puvah, from whom is the family of the Puvahites;

24 Von Jaschub die Familie der Jaschubiten; von Schimron die Familie der Schimroniten.

Jashub, from whom is the family of the Jashubites; Shimron, from whom is the family of the Shimronites.

25 Das sind die Familien Issaschars nach ihren Gemusterten: vierundsechzigtausenddreihundert.

These are the kinships of Issachar, whose number was sixty-four thousand three hundred.

26 Die Söhne Sebuluns nach ihren Familien: Von Sared die Familie der Sarditen; von Elon die Familie der Eloniten; von Jachleel die Familie der Jachleeliten;

The sons of Zebulon by their kinships: Sered, from whom is the family of the Seredites; Elon, from whom is the family of the Elonites; Jahleel, from whom is the family of the Jahleelites.

27 Dies sind die Familien der Sebuluniten nach ihren Gemusterten: sechzigtausendfünfhundert.

These are the kinships of Zebulun, whose number was sixty thousand five hundred.

28 Die Söhne Josephs nach ihren Familien sind Menascheh und Ephraim.

The sons of Joseph by their kinships: Manasseh and Ephraim.

29 Die Söhne Menaschehs: Von Machir die Familie der Machiriten. Und Machir zeugte Gilead. Von Gilead die Familie der Gileaditen.

From Manasseh was born Machir, from whom is the family of the Machirites. Machir conceived Gilead, from whom is the family of the Gileadites.

30 Das sind die Söhne Gileads: Jeser, die Familie der Jesriten; von Chelek, die Familie der Chelekiten.

Gilead had sons: Jezer, from whom is the family of the Jezerites; and Helek, from whom is the family of the Helekites;

31 Und Asriel, die Familie der Asrieliten; und Schechem, die Familie der Schichmiten.

and Asriel, from whom is the family of the Asrielites; and Shechem, from whom is the family of the Shechemites;

32 Und Schemidah, die Familie der Schemidaiten, und Chepher, die Familie der Chephriten.

and Shemida, from whom is the family of the Shemidaites; and Hepher, from whom is the family of the Hepherites.

33 Und Zelaphechad, Chephers Sohn, hatte keine Söhne, nur Töchter. Und die Namen von Zelaphechads Töchtern waren Machlah und Noah, Choglah, Milkah und Thirzah.

Now Hepher was the father of Zelophehad, who had no sons, but only daughters, whose names are these: Mahlah, and Noa, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.

34 Das sind die Familien Menaschehs; und ihrer Gemusterten sind zweiundfünfzigtausendsiebenhundert.

These are the families of Manasseh, and their number was fifty-two thousand seven hundred.

35 Das sind die Söhne Ephraims nach ihren Familien: Von Schuthelach die Familie der Schuthalchiten; von Becher die Familie der Bachriten; von Thachan die Familie der Thachaniten.

Now the sons of Ephraim by their kinships were these: Shuthelah, from whom is the family of the Shuthelahites; Becher, from whom is the family of the Becherites; Tahan, from whom is the family of the Tahanites.

36 Und dies sind die Söhne Schuthelachs: Von Eran die Familie der Eraniten.

Furthermore, the son of Shuthelah was Eran, from whom is the family of the Eranites.

37 Dies sind die Familien der Söhne Ephraims nach ihren Gemusterten: zweiundreißigtausendfünfhundert. Das sind die Söhne Josephs nach ihren Familien.

These are the kinships of the sons of Ephraim, whose number was thirty-two thousand five hundred.

38 Die Söhne Benjamins nach ihren Familien: Von Bela die Familie der Baliten; von Aschbel die Familie der Aschbeliten; von Achiram die Familie der Achiramiten;

These are the sons of Joseph by their families: the sons of Benjamin in their kinships: Bela, from whom is the family of the Belaites; Ashbel, from whom is the family of the Ashbelites; Ahiram, from whom is the family of the Ahiramites;

39 Von Schephupham die Familie der Schuphamiten; von Chupham die Familie der Chuphamiten.

Shupham, from whom is the family of the Shuphamites; Hupham, from whom is the family of the Huphamites.

40 Und die Söhne Belahs sind Ard und Naaman; die Familie der Arditen, von Naaman die Familie der Naamiten.

The sons of Bela: Arad and Naaman. From Arad, the family of the Aradites; from Naaman, the family of the Naamanites.

41 Dies sind die Söhne Benjamins nach ihren Familien; und ihrer Gemusterten waren es fünfundvierzigtausendsechshundert.

These are the sons of Benjamin by their kinships, whose number was forty-five thousand six hundred.

42 Das sind die Söhne Dans nach ihren Familien: Von Schucham die Familie der Schuchamiten. Dies die Familien Dans nach ihren Familien.

The sons of Dan by their kinships: Shuham, from whom is the family of the Shuhamites. These are the kinships of Dan by their families.

43 Alle Familien der Schuchaniten nach ihren Gemusterten waren vierundsechzigtausendvierhundert.

All these were Shuhamites, whose number was sixty-four thousand four hundred.

44 Die Söhne Aschers nach ihren Familien sind: Von Jimmah die Familie der Jimniten; von Jischvi die Familie der Jischviten; von Beriah die Familie der Beriiten.

The sons of Asher by their kinships: Imnah, from whom is the family of the Imnahites; Ishvi, from whom is the family of the Ishvites; Beriah, from whom is the family of the Beriahites.

45 Von den Söhnen Beriah, von Cheber die Familie der Chebriten; von Malkiel die Familie der Malkieliten.

The sons of Beriah: Heber, from whom is the family of the Heberites; and Malchiel, from whom is the family of the Malchielites.

46 Und der Name der Tochter Aschers war Serach.

Now the name of the daughter of Asher was Serah.

47 Dies sind die Familien der Söhne Aschers nach ihren Gemusterten: dreiundfünfzigtausendvierhundert.

These are the kinships of the sons of Asher, and their number was fifty-three thousand four hundred.

48 Die Söhne Naphthalis nach ihren Familien: Von Jachzeel die Familie der Jachzeeliten; von Guni die Familie der Guniten.

The sons of Naphtali by their kinships: Jahzeel, from whom is the family of the Jahzeelites; Guni, from whom is the family of the Gunites;

49 Von Jezer die Familie der Jizriten; von Schillem die Familie der Schillemiten.

Jezer, from whom is the family of the Jezerites; Shillem, from whom is the family of the Shillemites.

50 Das sind die Familien Naphthalis nach ihren Familien; und ihrer Gemusterten waren es fünfundvierzigtausendvierhundert.

These are the kinships of the sons of Naphtali by their families, whose number was forty-five thousand four hundred.

51 Dies sind die Gemusterten der Söhne Israels sechshunderttausend und tausendsiebenhundertdreißig.

This is the sum of the sons of Israel, who were counted: six hundred thousand and one thousand seven hundred thirty.

52 Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und sprach:

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

53 An diese soll das Land verteilt werden zum Erbe nach der Zahl der Namen.

“The land shall be divided to these, as their possessions, according to the number of their names.

54 Dem Vielen werde viel zu seinem Erbe und dem Wenigen wenig zu seinem Erbe. Jeglichem Manne werde sein Erbe gegeben nach dem Verhältnis seiner Gemusterten.

To the greater number you shall give a greater portion, and to the lesser number, a lesser portion. To each one, just as they have now been counted, a possession shall be delivered.

55 Man verteile jedoch das Land durch das Los; nach den Namen der Stämme ihrer Väter sollen sie es erben.

Yet only in so far as the land is divided by lot to a tribe and to families.

56 Nach dem Los soll man sein Erbe verteilen, zwischen viel oder wenig.

Whatever the lot will happen to be, it shall be accepted, either by the greater, or by the lesser.

57 Und das sind die gemusterten der Leviten nach ihren Familien: Von Gerschon die Familie der Gerschoniten; von Kohath die Familie der Kohathiten; von Merari die Familie der Merariten.

Likewise, this is the number of the sons of Levi by their families: Gershon, from whom is the family of the Gershonites; Kohath, from whom is the family of the Kohathites; Merari, from whom is the family of the Merarites.

58 Dies sind die Familien Levis, die Familien der Libniten, der Familien der Chebroniten, die Familie der Machliten, die Familie der Muschiten, die Familie der Korchiten, und Kohath zeugte den Amram.

These are the families of Levi: The family of Libni, the family of Hebroni, the family of Mahli, the family of Mushi, the family of Korah. Yet truly, Kohath conceived Amram,

59 Und der Name von Amrams Weib war Jochebet, eine Tochter Levis, die dem Levi in Ägypten geboren ward. Und sie gebar dem Amram den Aharon und den Mose und Mirjam, ihre Schwester.

who had a wife, Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to him in Egypt. She bore, to her husband Amram: sons, Aaron and Moses, as well as their sister, Miriam.

60 Und dem Aharon wurden geboren Nadab und Abihu, Eleasar und Ithamar.

From Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, and Eleazar and Ithamar.

61 Und Nadab und Abihu waren gestorben, da sie fremdes Feuer vor Jehovah darbrachten.

Of these, Nadab and Abihu died, when they had offered strange fire before the Lord.

62 Und ihrer Gemusterten waren es dreiundzwanzigtausend, alles Männliche von einem Monat und aufwärts: denn sie wurden nicht inmitten der Söhne Israels gemustert, weil ihnen kein Erbe inmitten der Söhne Israels gegeben ward.

And these were all who were numbered: twenty-three thousand of the male gender, from one month and above. For they were not counted among the sons of Israel, neither was a possession given to them with the others.

63 Dies sind die von Mose und dem Priester Eleasar Gemusterten, da sie die Söhne Israels in Arboth Moab am Jordan, bei Jericho, musterten.

This is the number of the sons of Israel, who were enrolled by Moses and by Eleazar the priest, in the plains of Moab, above the Jordan, opposite Jericho.

64 Und unter ihnen war kein Mann, der von Mose und Aharon, dem Priester, Gemusterten, da sie die Söhne Israels in der Wüste Sinai musterten.

Among these, not one of them was numbered before, by Moses and Aaron in the desert of Sinai.

65 Denn Jehovah hatte von ihnen gesprochen, daß sie in der Wüste des Todes sterben sollten. Und kein Mann blieb von ihnen übrig außer Kaleb, der Sohn Jephunnehs und Joschua, der Sohn Nuns.

For the Lord had foretold that all would die in the wilderness. And not one of them remained, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
