4 Mose 11
1 Und da das Volk sich übel beklagte vor den Ohren Jehovahs, hörte es Jehovah, und Sein Zorn entbrannte, und Jehovahs Feuer brannte wider sie und fraß am Ende des Lagers.
And [when] the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard [it; ] and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed [them that were] in the uttermost parts of the camp.
2 Und das Volk schrie zu Mose, und Mose betete zu Jehovah und das Feuer legte sich.
And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.
3 Und er nannte den Namen dieses Orts Taberah, weil das Feuer Jehovahs unter ihnen gebrannt hatte.
And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.
4 Und es gelüstete das Gesindel, das unter ihnen war, ein Gelüste, also, daß auch die Söhne Israels wieder weinten und sagten: Wer speist uns mit Fleisch?
And the mixt multitude that [was] among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
5 Wir gedenken der Fische, die wir in Ägypten umsonst aßen, und der Gurken und der Melonen und des Lauchs und der Zwiebeln und des Knoblauchs.
We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:
6 Und nun vertrocknet unsere Seele; nichts von allem ist da. Nichts als das Man ist vor unseren Augen.
But now our soul [is] dried away: [there is] nothing at all, beside this manna, [before] our eyes.
7 Und das Man war wie der Samen von Koriander und sein Aussehen war wie das Aussehen des Bedellion.
And the manna [was] as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colour of bdellium.
8 Das Volk lief umher und las auf; und sie mahlten es in der Mühle oder zerstießen es im Mörser und kochten es im Kessel und machten Kuchen daraus, und sein Geschmack war wie der Geschmack eines Ölkuchens.
[And] the people went about, and gathered [it], and ground [it] in mills, or beat [it] in a mortar, and baked [it] in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.
9 Und wenn der Tau nachts auf das Lager herabkam, da kam auch das Man darauf herab.
And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.
10 Und Mose hörte das Volk weinen in seinen Familien, jeden Mann am Eingang seines Zeltes, und der Zorn Jehovahs entbrannte sehr, und in Moses Augen war es böse.
Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.
11 Und Mose sprach zu Jehovah: Für was tust Du so übel an Deinem Knechte? Und warum habe ich nicht Gnade in Deinen Augen gefunden, daß Du die Last dieses ganzen Volkes auf mich legst?
And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?
12 Habe denn ich all dies Volk empfangen, habe ich es geboren, daß Du zu mir sprichst: Hebe es aus auf an deinen Busen, wie der Wärter den Säugling hinaufträgt, auf den Boden, den Du seinen Vätern geschworen hast?
Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?
13 Woher habe ich Fleisch, daß ich es diesem ganzen Volke gebe? Denn sie weinen wider mich und sagen: Gib uns Fleisch, daß wir essen!
Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.
14 Ich vermag nicht allein all dieses Volk zu tragen; denn es ist zu schwer für mich.
I am not able to bear all this people alone, because [it is] too heavy for me.
15 Und wenn Du also mit mir tust, so erwürge mich doch, habe ich Gnade in Deinen Augen gefunden, daß ich mein Übel nicht sehe.
And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favour in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.
16 Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Versammle Mir siebzig Männer aus den Ältesten Israels, die du als Älteste des Volkes und als seine Vorsteher kennst, und nimm sie zum Versammlungszelt und lasse sie sich dort mit dir hinstellen.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee.
17 Und Ich will herabkommen und mit dir daselbst reden und von dem Geiste, der auf dir ist, wegnehmen und auf sie legen, auf daß sie mit dir an der Last des Volkes tragen, und du sie nicht allein tragest.
And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which [is] upon thee, and will put [it] upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear [it] not thyself alone.
18 Und zu dem Volke sollst du sprechen: Heiliget euch auf morgen. Und ihr sollt Fleisch essen; denn ihr habt vor den Ohren Jehovahs geweint und gesprochen: Wer läßt uns Fleisch essen? Denn wir hatten es gut in Ägypten. Und Jehovah wird euch Fleisch geben, daß ihr esset.
And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for [it was] well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.
19 Nicht einen Tag sollt ihr es essen und nicht zwei Tage und nicht fünf Tage und nicht zehn Tage und nicht zwanzig Tage;
Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;
20 Bis zu einem Monat der Tage, bis es euch zur Nase herauskommt und zum Überdruß wird, weil ihr Jehovah, Der in eurer Mitte ist, verschmäht und vor Ihm geweint habt und gesagt: Warum sind wir doch aus Ägypten ausgegangen?
[But] even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which [is] among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?
21 Und Mose sprach: Sechshunderttausend Fußgänger ist das Volk, in dessen Mitte bin ich, und Du sprichst: Ich will ihnen Fleisch geben, daß sie einen Monat der Tage essen.
And Moses said, The people, among whom I [am], [are] six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.
22 Soll Kleinvieh und Rind für sie geschlachtet werden, daß es sich findet für sie? Oder sollen sich alle Fische des Meeres für sie versammeln, daß es sich findet für sie?
Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?
23 Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Ist die Hand Jehovahs zu kurz geworden? Du sollst nun sehen, ob Mein Wort bei dir zutrifft oder nicht.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD’s hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.
24 Und Mose ging heraus und redete zu dem Volk die Worte Jehovahs und versammelte siebzig Männer aus den Ältesten des Volkes und ließ sie um das Zelt her stehen.
And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.
25 Und Jehovah kam in der Wolke herab und redete zu ihm und nahm weg von dem Geiste, der auf ihm war, und gab ihn auf die siebzig Männer, die Ältesten; und es geschah, als der Geist auf ihnen ruhte, daß sie weissagten, aber nicht wieder.
And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that [was] upon him, and gave [it] unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, [that], when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
26 Und zwei Männer waren im Lager verblieben, der Name des einen war Eldad und der Name des zweiten Medad: und der Geist ruhte auf ihnen: und sie waren unter den Aufgeschriebenen, waren aber nicht zu dem Zelte herausgekommen, und sie weissagten in dem Lager.
But there remained two [of the] men in the camp, the name of the one [was] Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they [were] of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.
27 Und ein Junge lief und sagte es Mose an und sprach: Eldad und Medad weissagen in dem Lager.
And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.
28 Und Joschua, der Sohn Nuns, Moses Diener, von seinen Auserwählten, antwortete und sprach: Mein Herr, Mose, wehre es ihnen.
And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, [one] of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
29 Mose aber sprach zu ihm: Eiferst du für mich? Und wer gäbe es, daß das ganze Volk Jehovahs weissagte, daß Jehovah Seinen Geist auf sie gäbe!
And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD’s people were prophets, [and] that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!
30 Und Mose versammelte sich, er und die Ältesten Israels, in das Lager.
And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.
31 Und ein Wind brach auf von Jehovah und raffte Wachteln vom Meere auf und ließ sie herab auf das Lager, wie eine Tagereise hier und wie eine Tagereise da, rings um das Lager her, und etwa zwei Ellen über der Oberfläche der Erde.
And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let [them] fall by the camp, as it were a day’s journey on this side, and as it were a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits [high] upon the face of the earth.
32 Und das Volk machte sich auf diesen ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht und den ganzen morgenden Tag, und sie sammelten die Wachteln. Wer wenig hatte, sammelte zehn Chomer. Und sie breiteten sie für sich aus rings um das Lager.
And the people stood up all that day, and all [that] night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread [them] all abroad for themselves round about the camp.
33 Noch war das Fleisch zwischen ihren Zähnen, ehe es zerkaut war, da entbrannte der Zorn Jehovahs wider das Volk, und Jehovah schlug das Volk mit einem sehr großen Schlag.
And while the flesh [was] yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.
34 Und man nannte den Namen dieses Ortes Kibroth Hattaavah, weil sie allda das Volk, das es gelüstet hatte, begruben.
And he called the name of that place Kibroth-hattaavah: because there they buried the people that lusted.
35 Von Kibroth Hattaavah brach das Volk auf nach Chazeroth und sie waren in Chazeroth.
[And] the people journeyed from Kibroth-hattaavah unto Hazeroth; and abode at Hazeroth.
