Matthaeus 27
1 Als es aber Morgen ward, hielten alle Hohenpriester und die Ältesten des Volkes eine Beratung über Jesus, daß sie Ihn zum Tode brächten.
And it being morning, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put Him to death.
2 Und sie banden Ihn, führten Ihn hin und überantworteten Ihn dem Landpfleger Pontius Pilatus.
And having bound Him, took Him away, and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate, the governor.
3 Da Judas, der Ihn verriet, sah, daß Er verurteilt war, reute es ihn, und er brachte die dreißig Silberlinge zurück den Hohenpriestern und den Ältesten,
Then Judas, the one having betrayed Him, seeing that He was condemned, being seized with remorse, returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
4 Und sprach: Ich habe gesündigt, daß ich unschuldig Blut verraten. Sie aber sagten: Was geht das uns an? Sieh du zu.
saying, I sinned betraying the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? See thou to it.
5 Und er warf die Silberlinge dahin in den Tempel, entwich, ging hin und erhängte sich.
And throwing down the money in the temple, he departed; and having gone away hung himself.
6 Die Hohenpriester aber nahmen die Silberlinge und sprachen: Es ist nicht erlaubt, sie in den Opferkasten zu werfen, weil es Schatzung des Blutes ist.
And the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, It is not lawful to put them in the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
7 Sie hielten aber eine Beratung und kauften damit den Töpferacker zu einem Begräbnis für Fremde.
And taking counsel, they purchased with them the field of the potter, for a burying place for strangers.
8 Daher jenes Feld bis auf den heutigen Tag der Blutacker heißt.
Therefore that field has been called, The field of blood, to this day.
9 Da wurde erfüllt, was durch den Propheten Jeremias gesprochen ist, der sagt: Und sie nahmen die dreißig Silberlinge, die Schatzung dessen, der schätzt wurde, den sie sich schätzen ließen von den Söhnen Israels.
Then the word having been spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, was fulfilled, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of Him that was valued, whom they of the sons of Israel did value;
10 Und gaben sie für den Töpferacker, wie mir der Herr verordnet hat.
and they gave them for the field of the potter, as the Lord appointed me.
11 Jesus aber stand vor dem Landpfleger, und der Landpfleger fragte Ihn und sprach: Bist Du der Juden König? Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Du sagst es.
And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked Him, saying; Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said to him, Thou sayest it.
12 Und da Er verklagt ward von den Hohenpriestern und den Ältesten, antwortete Er nichts.
And while He is accused by the chief priests and elders, He responded nothing.
13 Da spricht Pilatus zu Ihm: Hörst Du nicht, was sie wider Dich zeugen?
Then Pilate says to Him, Do you not hear, bow many things they witness against you?
14 Und Er antwortete ihm nicht auf eine Rede, also daß sich der Landpfleger ungemein verwunderte.
And He responded to him not one word, so that the governor marveled exceedingly.
15 Der Landpfleger hatte aber die Gewohnheit, dem Gedränge auf das Fest einen Gefangenen loszugeben, welchen sie wollten.
And the governor during the feast was accustomed to release to the multitude one prisoner, whom they wished.
16 Sie hatten aber gerade einen besonderen Gefangenen, genannt Barabbas.
But they had at that time a noted prisoner called Barabbas.
17 Da sie nun versammelt waren, sprach Pilatus zu ihnen: Welchen wollt ihr, daß ich euch losgebe? Barabbas oder Jesus, Der da genannt wird Christus?
Then they being assembled, Pilate said to them, Whom do you wish that I may release unto you? Barabbas? or Jesus who is called Christ?
18 Denn er wußte, daß sie Ihn aus Neid überantwortet hatten.
For he knew that they delivered Him on account of envy.
19 Indem er aber auf dem Richtstuhle saß, sandte sein Weib zu ihm und sagte: Habe du nichts zu tun mit diesem Gerechten; denn ich habe heute viel erlitten im Traum wegen Seiner.
And he sitting on his tribunal, his wife sent to him, saying, Let there be nothing to thee and that just man: for this day I suffered many things in a dream on account of Him.
20 Die Hohenpriester aber und die Ältesten überredeten das Gedränge, daß sie um Barabbas bitten sollten, Jesum aber umbrächten.
And the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21 Der Landpfleger aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Welchen wollt ihr von den zweien, daß ich euch losgebe? Sie aber sprachen: Barabbas!
And the governor responding said to them, Which of the two do you wish that I shall release unto you? And they said Barabbas.
22 Spricht Pilatus zu ihnen: Was soll ich denn mit Jesus tun, Der Christus genannt wird? Sie sprachen alle: Er soll gekreuzigt werden!
Pilate says to them, Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ? They all say to him, Let Him be crucified.
23 Der Landpfleger aber sprach: Was hat Er denn Böses getan? Sie aber schrien viel mehr und sprachen: Er soll gekreuzigt werden!
And the governor said, For what evil hath He done? And they continued to cry out more vociferously, saying, Let Him be crucified.
24 Da Pilatus aber sah, daß es nicht nützte, sondern des Getümmels mehr ward, nahm er Wasser, wusch sich die Hände vor dem Gedränge und sprach: Ich bin unschuldig an dem Blute dieses Gerechten! Seht ihr zu.
And Pilate seeing that he profits nothing, but rather an uproar supervenes, having taken water, washed his hands in the presence of the multitude, saying, For I am free from the blood of this just one: you shall see to it.
25 Und das ganze Volk antwortete und sprach: Sein Blut sei auf uns und unseren Kindern!
And all the people responding said, His blood be upon us, and upon our children.
26 Da gab er ihnen Barabbas los, Jesus aber ließ er geißeln und überantwortete Ihn, daß Er gekreuzigt würde.
Then he released unto them Barabbas. And having scourged Jesus, delivered Him up that He should be crucified.
27 Da nahmen die Kriegsknechte des Landpflegers Jesus in das Richthaus und versammelten die ganze Kohorte über Ihn.
Then the soldiers of the governor taking Jesus into the judgment hall, gathered to Him the whole band.
28 Und sie zogen Ihn aus und legten Ihm einen Scharlachmantel um;
And having divested Him, put on Him a scarlet robe:
29 Und sie flochten einen Krone von Dornen und setzten sie Ihm auf Sein Haupt, und ein Rohr in Seine Rechte, fielen auf das Knie vor Ihm und verspotteten Ihn und sagten: Sei gegrüßt, König der Juden!
and plaiting a crown of thorns put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and bowing the knee to Him, continued to mock Him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 Und speieten Ihn an und nahmen das Rohr und schlugen Ihn auf Sein Haupt.
And spitting on Him, they took the reed and struck Him on the head repeatedly.
31 Und als sie Ihn verspottet hatten, zogen sie Ihm den Mantel aus, und taten Ihm Seine Kleider an und führten Ihn ab, daß sie Ihn kreuzigten.
And when they mocked Him, divesting Him of the robe, they put on Him His own raiment, and led Him away to crucify Him.
32 Indem sie aber hinauszogen, fanden sie einen Menschen von Kyrene mit Namen Simon; den nötigten sie, Sein Kreuz zu tragen.
And going out they found a Cyrenean man, Simon by name: they compelled him that he should bear His cross.
33 Und als sie an den Ort kamen, genannt Golgatha, das heißt Schädelstätte,
Having come to the place called Golgotha, which is called the place of a skull.
34 Gaben sie Ihm Essig, mit Galle vermischt, zu trinken, und als Er es kostete, wollte Er nicht trinken.
And they gave Him vinegar mingled with gall to drink: and tasting, He was not willing to drink it.
35 Als sie Ihn aber gekreuzigt hatten, verteilten sie Seine Kleider unter sich, indem sie das Los warfen; auf daß erfüllt würde, was durch den Propheten gesagt ist: Sie verteilten Meine Kleider unter sich, und warfen das Los über Meinen Rock.
And crucifying Him, they divided His garments, casting the lot,
36 Und sie saßen da und bewachten Ihn.
and sitting down, they continued to watch Him there.
37 Und über Seinem Haupte setzten sie in einer Aufschrift die Ursache Seines Todes: Dies ist Jesus, der Juden König.
And they placed over His head, His accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
38 Alsdann wurden mit Ihm gekreuzigt zwei Räuber, einer zur Rechten, und einer zur Linken.
Then two thieves are crucified along with Him, the one on the right and one on the left.
39 Die aber vorübergingen, lästerten Ihn, indem sie ihre Köpfe schüttelten.
And going by they continued to blaspheme Him, wagging their heads,
40 Und sagten: Der Du den Tempel niederreißt und in drei Tagen aufbaust, rette Dich Selber! Wenn Du Gottes Sohn bist, so steige herab von dem Kreuz!
and saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself: if thou art the Son of God, come down from the cross.
41 Desgleichen verspotteten Ihn auch die Hohenpriester mit den Schriftgelehrten und Ältesten und sprachen:
Likewise also the chief priests mocking, with the scribes and elders, continued to say,
42 Andere hat Er gerettet, Sich Selbst kann Er nicht retten! Wenn Er Israels König ist, so steige Er nun herab vom Kreuz, und wir wollen Ihm glauben.
He saved others; He is not able to save Himself: if He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on Him.
43 Er hat auf Gott vertraut! Der errette Ihn nun, wenn Er Ihn will. Denn Er hat gesagt: Ich bin Gottes Sohn!
He trusted in God; let Him now deliver Him, if He wishes Him; for He said, I am the Son of God.
44 Ebenso aber schmähten Ihn auch die Räuber, die mit Ihm gekreuzigt waren.
And the thieves being crucified along with Him were also reproaching Him in the same manner.
45 Aber von der sechsten Stunde an ward Finsternis über das ganze Land bis zur neunten Stunde.
And from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
46 Um die neunte Stunde aber schrie Jesus auf mit großer Stimme und sprach: Eli, Eli lama sabachthani, das ist: Mein Gott, Mein Gott, warum hat Du Mich verlassen?
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47 Einige aber der dort Stehenden, da sie es hörten, sagten: Er ruft den Elias herbei.
And certain ones of those standing there hearing, said, He is calling Elijah.
48 Und alsbald lief einer von ihnen und nahm einen Schwamm, füllte ihn mit Essig, legte ihn um ein Rohr und tränkte Ihn.
And one of them running and taking a sponge, and filling it with vinegar, and extending it on a reed, gave Him drink.
49 Die übrigen aber sagten: Halt, laß sehen, ob Elias kommt, Ihn zu retten.
And others were saying, Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah comes about to save Him.
50 Jesus aber schrie abermals mit großer Stimme und gab den Geist auf.
And Jesus again crying with a loud voice, gave up His spirit.
51 Und siehe, der Vorhang des Tempels zerriß entzwei von oben bis unten, und die Erde bebte und die Felsen zerrissen.
And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from top to bottom, and the earth did quake; and the rocks were rent;
52 Und die Grüfte taten sich auf und viele Leiber der entschlafenen Heiligen wurden auferweckt.
and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the sleeping saints arose;
53 Und gingen aus von den Grüften und kamen nach Seiner Auferstehung herein in die heilige Stadt und erschienen vielen.
and having come out of the tombs after His resurrection came into the holy city and appeared unto many.
54 Da aber der Hauptmann und die mit ihm Jesus bewachten sahen das Erdbeben und das, was geschah, fürchteten sie sich sehr und sprachen: Fürwahr, Dieser war Gottes Sohn!
And the centurion and those watching Jesus with him, seeing the earthquake, and the things which took place, feared exceedingly, saying, Surely this was the Son of God.
55 Es waren aber da viele Frauen, die von weitem zuschauten; die Jesus aus Galiläa nachgefolgt waren, um Ihm Dienste zu tun.
And many women were there looking on from a distance, who followed Jesus from Galilee to minister unto Him,
56 Und unter ihnen waren Maria von Magdala, und Maria, des Jakobus und des Joses Mutter und die Mutter der Söhne des Zebedäus.
among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary, the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
57 Als es aber Abend ward, kam ein reicher Mensch von Arimathäa, mit Namen Joseph, der auch ein Jünger Jesu war.
And it being evening, a rich man came from Arimathea, whose name was Joseph, who himself also was a disciple to Jesus.
58 Dieser ging herbei zu Pilatus und bat um den Leib Jesu. Da befahl Pilatus, daß der Leib ihm sollte übergeben werden.
He having come to Pilate, begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded that the body should be given:
59 Und Joseph nahm den Leib, wickelte ihn ein in reine Leinwand,
and Joseph having received the body, wrapped it in clean linen,
60 Und legte ihn in seine neue Gruft, die er hatte in den Fels hauen lassen, und wälzte einen großen Stein vor die Tür zu der Gruft und ging weg.
and placed it in a new sepulcher, which he hewed in the rock: and having rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulcher, departed.
61 Es war aber dort Maria von Magdala und die andere Maria, die saßen der Grabstätte gegenüber.
And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting in front of the tomb.
62 Am folgenden Tag aber, der nach dem Rüsttag ist, versammelten sich die Hohenpriester und die Pharisäer zu Pilatus,
And on the following day, which is after the Preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together to Pilate, saying,
63 Und sagten: Herr, wir erinnern uns, daß dieser Verführer, da Er noch lebte, gesagt hat: Nach drei Tagen werde Ich auferweckt.
Lord, we remember that that deceiver, while yet living, said, After three days I will rise.
64 So befiehl denn, daß man sich der Grabstätte bis zum dritten Tag versichere, auf daß nicht Seine Jünger kommen, Ihn stehlen und dem Volke sagen: Er ist von den Toten auferweckt! und die letzte Verführung schlimmer werde als die erste.
Command therefore that the tomb be made safe until the third day, lest His disciples having come, may steal Him away, and say to the people, He is risen from the dead: and the last error shall be worse than the first.
65 Pilatus sprach zu ihnen: Ihr sollt eine Wache haben, geht hin und versichert euch, wie ihr es wisset.
Pilate said to them, You have a watch: go, make it safe as you know.
66 Sie aber gingen hin, versicherten sich der Grabstätte und mit der Wache versiegelten sie den Stein.
And having gone, they secured the tomb, sealing the stone, with the guard.
