Lukas 15
1 Es nahten sich Ihm aber alle Zöllner und Sünder, auf daß sie Ihn hörten.
Then drew near to him all the publicans and sinners to hear him.
2 Und die Pharisäer und die Schriftgelehrten murrten durcheinander und sagten: Dieser nimmt die Sünder an und ißt mit ihnen.
And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
3 Er aber sagte ihnen dies Gleichnis und sprach:
And he spoke this parable to them, saying,
4 Welcher Mensch von euch, der hundert Schafe hat und eines derselben verliert, verläßt nicht die neunundneunzig in der Wüste, und geht hin nach dem verlorenen, bis daß er es finde?
What man of you having a hundred sheep, if he loseth one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he findeth it?
5 Und wenn er es gefunden hat, legt er es mit Freuden auf seine Schultern;
And when he hath found [it], he layeth [it] on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 Und wenn er nach Hause kommt, ruft er die Freunde und Nachbarn zusammen und spricht zu ihnen: Freuet euch mit mir, ich habe mein Schaf gefunden, das verloren war.
And when he cometh home, he calleth together [his] friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7 Ich sage euch: So wird Freude sein im Himmel über einen Sünder, der Buße tut, mehr denn über neunundneunzig Gerechte, die der Buße nicht bedürfen.
I say to you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, who need no repentance.
8 Oder welches Weib ist, das zehn Drachmen hat, wenn sie eine Drachme verliert, die nicht eine Kerze anzündet und das Haus kehrt und fleißig sucht, bis daß sie sie findet?
Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she loseth one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she findeth [it]?
9 Und wenn sie dieselbe gefunden hat, ruft sie die Freundinnen und Nachbarinnen zusammen und spricht: Freuet euch mit mir, denn ich habe die Drachme gefunden, die ich verloren hatte.
And when she hath found [it], she calleth [her] friends and [her] neighbors together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Also, sage Ich euch, wird Freude sein vor den Engeln Gottes über einen Sünder, der Buße tut.
Likewise, I say to you, There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
11 Er sprach aber: Ein Mensch hatte zwei Söhne.
And he said, A certain man had two sons:
12 Und der Jüngere von ihnen sprach zum Vater: Gib mir, Vater, den Teil des Guts, der mich trifft. Und er verteilte unter sie das Vermögen.
And the younger of them said to [his] father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth [to me]. And he divided to them [his] living.
13 Und nicht viel Tage danach sammelte der jüngere Sohn alles zusammen und zog fort in eine ferne Landschaft und vergeudete da sein Gut mit schwelgendem Leben.
And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
14 Als er aber all das Seine verausgabt hatte, ward eine starke Hungersnot in selbiger Landschaft, und er fing an Mangel zu leiden.
And when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
15 Und er ging hin und hängte sich an einen der Bürger derselbigen Landschaft. Und der schickte ihn auf seine Felder, die Schweine zu hüten.
And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16 Und er begehrte, seinen Magen mit Schoten zu füllen, welche die Schweine fraßen; aber niemand gab sie ihm.
And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat; and no man gave to him.
17 Da kam er aber zu sich selber und sprach: Wie viele Mietlinge meines Vaters haben Brot im Überfluß, und ich verderbe vor Hunger!
And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father have bread enough and to spare, and I am perishing with hunger!
18 Ich will aufstehen und zu meinem Vater hingehen und zu ihm sagen: Vater, ich habe gesündigt am Himmel und vor dir;
I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
19 Und ich bin hinfort nicht mehr wert, daß ich dein Sohn heiße. Mache mich wie einen deiner Mietlinge.
And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
20 Und er stand auf und kam zu seinem Vater. Da er aber noch weit weg war, sah ihn sein Vater, und es jammerte ihn; und er lief, fiel ihm um den Hals und küßte ihn.
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21 Der Sohn aber sprach zu ihm: Vater, ich habe gesündigt am Himmel und vor dir; ich bin nicht mehr wert, daß ich dein Sohn heiße.
And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 Der Vater aber sprach zu seinen Knechten: Bringt das erste Gewand und tut es ihm an, und gebt ihm einen Ring an die Hand und Schuhe an die Füße.
But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put [it] on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on [his] feet:
23 Und bringt das Mastkalb her, und schlachtet es. Und lasset uns essen und fröhlich sein!
And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill [it]; and let us eat, and be merry:
24 Denn dieser mein Sohn war tot und ist wieder lebendig. Er war verloren und ist gefunden. Und sie fingen an, fröhlich zu werden.
For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
25 Sein ältester Sohn aber war auf dem Felde, und wie der kam und dem Hause nahte, hörte er Musik und Reigen,
Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing.
26 Und er rief zu sich der Knechte einen und fragte, was das wäre.
And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
27 Der aber sagte ihm: Dein Bruder ist gekommen, und dein Vater hat das Mastkalb geschlachtet, weil er ihn gesund wieder empfangen hat.
And he said to him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him in health.
28 Er ward aber zornig und wollte nicht hineingehen. Da ging sein Vater denn hinaus und flehte ihn an.
And he was angry, and would not go in; therefore his father came out, and entreated him.
29 Er aber antwortete und sprach zu dem Vater: Siehe, so viele Jahre diene ich dir und habe nie dein Gebot übergangen, und noch nie hast du mir einen Bock gegeben, daß ich mit meinen Freunden fröhlich wäre.
And he answering, said to [his] father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither have I at any time transgressed thy commandment; and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
30 Nun aber dieser dein Sohn gekommen ist, der dein Vermögen mit Buhlerinnen aufgegessen, hast du ihm das Mastkalb geschlachtet.
But as soon as this thy son had come, who hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
31 Er sprach aber zu ihm: Kind, du bist allzeit bei mir, und all das Meine ist dein.
And he said to him, Son, thou art ever with me: and all that I have is thine.
32 Man mußte aber fröhlich sein und sich freuen, daß dieser dein Bruder tot war und ist wieder lebendig, und daß er verloren war und wieder gefunden ist.
It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
