Richter 7
1 Und Jerubbaal, das ist Gideon, stand früh auf und alles Volk, das mit ihm war, und sie lagerten an der Quelle Charod, und das Lager Midjans war ihm gegen Mitternacht am Hügel Moreh im Talgrunde.
And he rose early Jerub-Baal that [is] Gideon and all the people which [was] with him and they encamped at En Harod and [the] camp of Midian it was of him from [the] north from [the] hill of Moreh in the valley.
2 Und Jehovah sprach zu Gideon: Zu viel ist das Volk mit dir, als daß Ich Midjan in ihre Hand geben könnte, auf daß Israel nicht prahle über Mich und spreche: Meine Hand hat mich gerettet.
And he said Yahweh to Gideon [is too] numerous the people which [is] with you than to give I Midian in hand their lest it should glorify itself over me Israel saying hand my it has delivered me.
3 Und rufe nun aus vor den Ohren des Volkes und sage: Wer sich fürchtet und erzittert, der kehre zurück und hebe sich hinweg vom Gebirge Gilead. Und es kehrten vom Volke zurück zweiundzwanzigtausend, und zehntausend verblieben.
And therefore proclaim please in [the] ears of the people saying who? [is] fearful and trembling let him go back and he may go from [the] mountain of Gilead and it returned of the people twenty and two thousand and ten thousand they remained.
4 Und Jehovah sprach zu Gideon: Noch ist des Volkes zu viel. Bringe sie hinab an das Wasser. Daselbst will Ich sie läutern; und soll sein, von wem Ich dir sagen werde, dieser soll mit dir ziehen, der soll mit dir ziehen; und jeder, von dem Ich dir sage, dieser soll nicht mit dir ziehen, der ziehe nicht.
And he said Yahweh to Gideon still the people [is] numerous bring down them to the water so I may test it for you there and it will be [the one] whom I will say to you this [one] - he will go with you he he will go with you and every [one] whom I will say to you this [one] not he will go with you he not he will go.
5 Und er brachte das Volk hinab an das Wasser, und Jehovah sprach zu Gideon: Jeder, der vom Wasser mit der Zunge leckt, wie der Hund leckt, den stelle besonders, und auch jeden, der auf die Knie niederkauert, um zu trinken.
And he brought down the people to the water. And he said Yahweh to Gideon every [one] who he will lap up with tongue his some of the water just as it laps up the dog you will set him alone and every [one] who he will bow down on knees his to drink.
6 Und es war die Zahl derer, die mit der Hand zum Munde geleckt hatten, dreihundert Mann; und alles übrige Volk kauerte auf die Knie nieder, um Wasser zu trinken.
And it was [the] number of those [who] lapped with hand their to mouth their three hundred man and all [the] remainder of the people they bowed down on knees their to drink water.
7 Und Jehovah sprach zu Gideon: Mit den dreihundert Mann, die geleckt haben, rette Ich euch und gebe Midjan in deine Hand; und all das Volk laß jeden Mann an seinen Ort gehen.
And he said Yahweh to Gideon by three hundred the man who lapped I will deliver you and I will give Midian in hand your and all the people let them go each to own place his.
8 Und sie nahmen Zehrung für das Volk in ihre Hand, und ihre Posaunen, und alle Männer Israels entließ er, jeden Mann in sein Zelt, und die dreihundert Mann hielt er zurück. Und das Lager Midjans war unter ihnen im Talgrunde.
And they took provision[s] the people in hand their and trumpets their and every man of Israel he sent away each to tents his and on three hundred the man he kept hold and [the] camp of Midian it was to him from under in the valley.
9 Und es geschah in selbiger Nacht, daß Jehovah zu ihm sprach: Mache dich auf und gehe hinab in das Lager, denn Ich habe es in deine Hand gegeben.
And it was in the night that and he said to him Yahweh arise go down in the camp for I have given it in hand your.
10 Fürchtest du dich aber, hinabzugehen, so gehe du und dein Junge Purah hinab zum Lager.
And if [are] afraid you to go down go down you and Purah servant your to the camp.
11 Und du wirst hören, was sie reden, und danach werden deine Hände stark werden, daß du in das Lager hinabgehst. Und er ging hinab, er und Purah, sein Junge, an das Ende der Kampfgerüsteten im Lager.
And you will hear what? will they speak and after they will be strong hands your and you will go down in the camp and he went down he and Purah servant his to [the] edge of those arrayed for battle who [were] in the camp.
12 Und Midjan und Amalek und alle Söhne des Ostens lagen im Talgrunde, wie die Heuschrecke an Menge, und ihrer Kamele war keine Zahl, wie der Sand am Strande des Meeres an Menge.
And Midian and Amalek and all [the] people of [the] east [were] lying in the valley like locust[s] for multitude and [belonged] to camels their not number like the sand that [is] on [the] shore of the sea for multitude.
13 Und Gideon kam und siehe, ein Mann erzählte seinem Genossen einen Traum und sprach: Siehe, ich träumte einen Traum, und siehe, ein geröstet Gerstenbrot rollte in das Lager Midjans und kam an das Zelt und schlug dasselbe, daß es fiel, und kehrte es zuoberst, und das Zelt war gefallen.
And he came Gideon and there! a man [was] recounting to neighbor his a dream and he said here! a dream I have dreamed and there! (a round loaf of *Q(K)*) bread of barley [was] tumbling in [the] camp of Midian and it came to the tent and it struck it and it fell and it overturned it upwards and it fell the tent.
14 Und sein Genosse antwortete und sprach: Dies ist nichts anderes, als das Schwert Gideons, des Sohnes von Joasch, des Mannes von Israel. Gott hat Midjan und das ganze Lager in seine Hand gegeben.
And he answered neighbor his and he said not this [is] except [the] sword of Gideon [the] son of Joash a man of Israel he has given God in hand his Midian and all the army.
15 Und es geschah, als Gideon den Traum erzählen und deuten hörte, so betete er an und kehrte in Israels Lager zurück und sprach. Machet euch auf, denn Jehovah hat das Lager Midjans in eure Hand gegeben.
And it was when heard Gideon [the] recounting of the dream and interpretation its and he bowed down and he returned to [the] camp of Israel and he said arise for he has given Yahweh in hand your [the] camp of Midian.
16 Und er teilte die dreihundert Mann in drei Haufen und gab ihnen allen Posaunen in die Hand und leere Krüge und Fackeln inmitten der Krüge.
And he divided three hundred the man three companies and he put trumpets in [the] hand of all of them and jars empty and torches in [the] midst of the jars.
17 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Von mir sehet es ab und tuet also; und siehe, ich komme dahin an das Ende des Lagers, und es geschehe, daß wie ich tue, also sollt ihr tun.
And he said to them from me you will see and thus you will do and here! I [will be] coming in [the] edge of the camp and it will be just as I will do so you will do!
18 Und stoße ich in die Posaune, ich und alle, die mit mir sind, so stoßet auch ihr rings um das ganze Lager in die Posaunen und sprechet: Für Jehovah und für Gideon!
And I will give a blast on the trumpet I and all who [are] with me and you will give a blast on the trumpets also you all around all the camp and you will say for Yahweh and for Gideon.
19 Und es kam Gideon und die hundert Mann, die mit ihm waren, am Anfang der mittleren Nachtwache an das Ende des Lagers, da sie eben die Hut aufgestellt hatten, und stießen in die Posaunen und zerschmissen die Krüge in ihrer Hand.
And he went Gideon and one hundred man who [were] with him in [the] edge of the camp [the] beginning of the watch middle just as certainly they had stationed the watchmen and they gave a blast on the trumpets and they smashed the jars which [were] in hand their.
20 Und es bliesen alle drei Haufen mit den Posaunen und zerbrachen die Krüge und hielten die Fackeln in der linken Hand und die Posaunen zum Blasen in der rechten Hand und riefen: Schwert für Jehovah und für Gideon!
And they gave a blast [the] three the companies on the trumpets and they broke the jars and they took hold in [the] hand of left their on the torches and in [the] hand of right their the trumpets to give a blast and they called out a sword for Yahweh and for Gideon.
21 Und sie standen, jeder Mann an seiner Stelle, rings um das Lager; und das ganze Lager rannte, und sie schrien und flohen.
And they stood everyone in place his round about the camp and it ran all the army and they shouted in distress (and they fled. *Q(K)*)
22 Und die dreihundert bliesen die Posaunen, und Jehovah setzte im Lager das Schwert eines jeden Mannes wider seine Genossen und wider das ganze Lager; und das Lager floh bis Beth-Schittah, Zererath zu, bis an den Rand von Abel-Mecholah bei Tabbath.
And they gave a blast [the] three hundred the trumpets and he set Yahweh [the] sword of each on neighbor his and on all the army and it fled the army to Beth Shittah towards Zererah to [the] border of Abel Meholah at Tabbath.
23 Und die Männer Israels wurden aufgerufen aus Naphthali und aus Ascher und aus ganz Menascheh, und sie setzten hinter Midjan nach.
And it was summoned [the] man of Israel from Naphtali and from Asher and from all Manasseh and they pursued after Midian.
24 Und Gideon sandte Boten in das ganze Gebirge Ephraim und sprach: Gehet hinab, Midjan entgegen, und gewinnet die Wasser vor ihnen bis Beth-Barah und den Jordan; und jeder Mann in Ephraim wurde aufgerufen, und sie gewannen die Wasser bis Beth-Barah und den Jordan.
And messengers he sent Gideon in all [the] hill country of Ephraim saying come down to meet Midian and capture to them the waters to Beth Barah and the Jordan and he was summoned every man of Ephraim and they captured the waters to Beth Barah and the Jordan.
25 Und sie fingen zwei Oberste Midjans, Oreb und Seeb, und erwürgten Oreb auf Zur-Oreb und Seeb erwürgten sie in Jekeb-Seeb und sie setzten Midjan nach, und brachten die Köpfe Orebs und Seebs zu Gideon, jenseits des Jordan.
And they captured [the] two [the] commanders of Midian Oreb and Zeeb and they killed Oreb at [the] rock of Oreb and Zeeb they killed at [the] winepress of Zeeb and they pursued Midian and [the] head of Oreb and Zeeb they brought to Gideon from [the] other side of the Jordan.
