Richter 10
1 Und nach Abimelech stand auf, Israel zu retten, Thola, der Sohn Puahs, der Sohn Dodos, ein Mann aus Issaschar; und er wohnte in Schamir auf dem Gebirge Ephraim;
And after Abimelech, there rose up to save Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir on mount Ephraim.
2 Und er richtete Israel dreiundzwanzig Jahre; und er starb und ward in Schamir begraben.
And he judged Israel twenty-three years; and he died, and was buried in Shamir.
3 Und nach ihm stand auf Jair, der Gileaditer, und richtete Israel zweiundzwanzig Jahre.
And after him rose up Jair, a Gileadite; and he judged Israel twenty-two years.
4 Und er hatte dreißig Söhne, die auf drei-ßig Eselsfüllen ritten und dreißig Städte hatten, die auf diesen Tag Jairdörfer heißen, und sind im Lande Gilead.
And he had thirty sons who rode on thirty ass colts; and they had thirty cities, which are called the villages of Jair to this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
5 Und Jair starb und ward in Kamon begraben.
And Jair died, and was buried in Kamon.
6 Und die Söhne Israels taten wider, was böse war in den Augen Jehovahs, und dienten den Baalim und Aschtaroth und den Göttern Arams und den Göttern Zidons und den Göttern Moabs und den Göttern der Philister, und verließen Jehovah und dienten Ihm nicht.
And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of Jehovah, and served the Baals, and the Ashtoreths, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines; and they forsook Jehovah, and served him not.
7 Und es entbrannte der Zorn Jehovahs wider Israel, und Er verkaufte sie in die Hand der Philister und in die Hand der Söhne Ammons.
And the anger of Jehovah was hot against Israel, and he sold him into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the children of Ammon.
8 Und sie zerschmetterten und zerschlugen die Söhne Israels in dem Jahre, achtzehn Jahre, alle Söhne Israel, jenseits des Jordan im Land des Amoriters, das ist Gilead.
And they oppressed and crushed the children of Israel in that year; eighteen years [they oppressed] all the children of Israel that were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
9 Und die Söhne Ammons setzten über den Jordan, um auch wider Judah, Benjamin und das Haus Ephraims zu streiten, und Israel war sehr bedrängt.
And the children of Ammon passed over the Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; and Israel was greatly distressed.
10 Und die Söhne Israels schrien zu Jehovah und sprachen: Wir haben gesündigt gegen Dich und daß wir unseren Gott verlassen und den Baalim gedient haben.
And the children of Israel cried to Jehovah, saying, We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served the Baals.
11 Und Jehovah sprach zu den Söhnen Israels: Habe Ich euch nicht von den Ägyptern und von den Amoritern und von den Söhnen Ammons und von den Philistern,
And Jehovah said to the children of Israel, Did I not [save you] from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
12 Und von den Zidoniern und von dem Amalek und Maon, die euch unterdrückten, und ihr zu Mir schriet, aus ihrer Hand gerettet?
The Zidonians also, and Amalek and Maon oppressed you, and ye cried to me, and I saved you out of their hand.
13 Und ihr habt Mich verlassen und anderen Göttern gedient, darum will Ich nicht fortfahren, euch zu helfen.
But ye have forsaken me, and served other gods; therefore I will save you no more.
14 Gehet hin und schreit zu den Göttern, die ihr euch erwählt habt; sie sollen zur Zeit der Drangsal euch helfen.
Go and cry to the gods that ye have chosen: let them save you in the time of your trouble.
15 Und die Söhne Israels sprachen zu Jehovah: Wir haben gesündigt. Tue Du an uns, wie es gut in Deinen Augen ist, nur errette uns doch diesen Tag.
And the children of Israel said to Jehovah, We have sinned. Do thou unto us according to all that is good in thy sight; only deliver us, we pray thee, this day.
16 Und sie taten weg die Götter des Auslands aus ihrer Mitte und dienten Jehovah; und Seine Seele ward ungeduldig über dem Mühsal Israels.
And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served Jehovah; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
17 Und es wurden zusammengerufen die Söhne Ammons, und sie lagerten sich in Gilead, und die Söhne Israels versammelten sich und lagerten in Mizpah.
And the children of Ammon were called together and encamped in Gilead; and the children of Israel gathered together and encamped in Mizpeh.
18 Und das Volk, die Obersten Gileads, sprachen einer zum Genossen: Wer ist der Mann, der anfängt zu streiten wider die Söhne Ammons, der soll das Haupt sein über alle, die in Gilead wohnen.
And the people, the chief men of Gilead, said one to another, Who is the man that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
