Jeremia 26
1 Im Anfang der Regierung Jehojakims, des Sohnes Joschijahus, des Königs von Jehudah, geschah von Jehovah dieses Wort, sprechend:
In the beginning of the reign of king Sedekias, there came this word concerning Aelam.
2 So spricht Jehovah: Stehe in den Vorhof von Jehovahs Haus und rede zu allen Städten Jehudahs, die hereinkommen, im Haus Jehovahs anzubeten, all die Worte, die Ich dir gebiete, zu ihnen zu reden, und sollst kein Wort davontun.
FOR EGYPT, AGAINST THE POWER OF PHARAO NECHAO KING OF EGYPT, who was by the river Euphrates in Charmis, whom Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon struck in the fourth year of Joakim king of Juda.
3 Vielleicht hören sie darauf und der Mann kehrt von seinem bösen Wege zurück, daß Mich des Bösen gereue, das Ich dachte ihnen zu tun, ob der Bosheit ihrer Taten.
Take up arms and spears, and draw near to battle;
4 Und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht Jehovah: Wenn ihr nicht auf Mich hört, so daß ihr wandelt in Meinem Gesetz, das Ich vor euch gegeben habe;
and harness the horses: mount, you horsemen, and stand ready in your helmets; advance the spears, and put on your breastplates.
5 So daß ihr hört auf die Worte Meiner Knechte, der Propheten, die Ich an euch sandte, früh aufstehend und sendend, aber ihr hörtet nicht.
Why do they fear, and turn back? even because their mighty men shall be slain: they have utterly fled, and being hemmed in they have not rallied, says the Lord.
6 So gebe Ich dieses Haus dahin wie Schiloh, und diese Stadt gebe Ich zum Fluch allen Völkerschaften auf der Erde.
Let not the swift flee, and let not the mighty man escape to the north: the [forces] at Euphrates are become feeble, and they have fallen.
7 Und die Priester und die Propheten und alles Volk hörten Jirmejahu diese Worte im Hause Jehovahs reden.
Who is this [that] shall come up as a river, and as rivers roll [their] waves?
8 Und es geschah, wie Jirmejahu vollendet hatte, alles zu reden, was ihm Jehovah vor dem ganzen Volk zu reden geboten hatte, da faßten ihn an die Priester und die Propheten und alles Volk und sprachen: Du mußt des Todes sterben.
The waters of Egypt shall come up like a river: and he said, I will go up, and will cover the earth, and will destroy the dwellers in it.
9 Warum weissagst du im Namen Jehovahs und sprichst: Wie Schiloh soll dies Haus werden, und diese Stadt soll verödet werden, so daß niemand darin wohne? Und alles Volk kam zusammen im Hause Jehovahs wider Jirmejahu.
Mount you the horses, prepare the chariots; go forth, you warriors of the Ethiopians, and Libyans armed with shields; and mount, you Lydians, bend the bow.
10 Und als die Obersten Jehudahs hörten diese Dinge, kamen sie herauf vom Königshause zum Haus Jehovahs und setzen sich am Eingang des neuen Tores Jehovahs.
And that day [shall be] to the Lord our God a day of vengeance, to take vengeance on his enemies: and the sword of the Lord shall devour, and be glutted, and be drunken with their blood: for the Lord [has] a sacrifice from the land of the north at the river Euphrates.
11 Und die Priester und die Propheten sprachen zu den Obersten und zu dem ganzen Volk und sagten: Ein Gericht des Todes für diesen Mann; denn er hat wider diese Stadt geweissagt, wie ihr mit euren Ohren hörtet!
Go up to Galaad, and take balm for the virgin daughter of Egypt: in vain have you multiplied your medicines; there is no help in you.
12 Und Jirmejahu sprach zu all den Obersten und zu allem Volk und sagte: Jehovah hat mich gesandt über dieses Haus und über diese Stadt alle die Worte zu weissagen, die ihr gehört habt.
The nations have heard your voice, and the land has been filled with your cry: for the warriors have fainted fighting one against another, [and] both are fallen together.
13 Und nun macht eure Wege gut und eure Taten und hört auf die Stimme Jehovahs eures Gottes, daß Jehovah gereue des Bösen, das Er wider euch geredet hat.
THE WORDS WHICH THE LORD SPOKE by Jeremias, concerning the coming of the king of Babylon to strike the land of Egypt.
14 Und siehe, ich bin in eurer Hand, tut mit mir, wie es gut und recht in euren Augen ist.
Proclaim [it] at Magdol, and declare [it] at Memphis: say you, Stand up, and prepare; for the sword has devoured your yew tree.
15 Nur sollt ihr wissen, daß ihr, wenn ihr mich tötet, unschuldig Blut bringt über euch und über diese Stadt, und über die, so in ihr wohnen; denn in Wahrheit hat Jehovah mich zu euch gesandt, in euren Ohren zu reden alle diese Worte.
Therefore has Apis fled from you? your choice calf has not remained; for the Lord has utterly weakened him.
16 Und es sprachen die Obersten und das ganze Volk zu den Priestern und zu den Propheten: Für den Mann da gibt es kein Gericht des Todes; denn im Namen Jehovahs unseres Gottes, hat er zu uns geredet.
And your multitude has fainted and fallen; and each one said to his neighbour, Let us arise, and return into our country to our people, from the Grecian sword.
17 Und es standen Männer von den Ältesten des Landes auf und sprachen zur ganzen Versammlung des Volkes und sagten:
Call you the name of Pharao Nechao king of Egypt, Saon esbeie moed.
18 Michajah, der Moraschthite, war ein Prophet in den Tagen Chiskijahus, des Königs von Jehudah, und sprach zu allem Volk Jehudahs und sagte: So spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen: Zijon soll als Feld gepflügt und Jerusalem zu Trümmerhaufen und der Berg des Hauses zu Opferhöhen des Waldes werden.
[As] I live, says the Lord God, he shall come as Itabyrion amongst the mountains, and as Carmel that is on the sea.
19 Hat Chiskijahu, Jehudahs König, und ganz Jehudah ihn getötet? Hat er nicht Jehovah gefürchtet und angefleht das Angesicht Jehovahs? Und es reute Jehovah wegen des Bösen, das Er wider sie geredet. Wir aber tun großes Übel wider unsere Seelen.
O daughter of Egypt dwelling [at home], prepare you stuff for removing: for Memphis shall be utterly desolate, and shall be called Woe, because there are no inhabitants in it.
20 Und es war auch ein Mann, der weissagte im Namen Jehovahs, Urijahu, Schemajahus Sohn, aus Kirjath-Jearim, und er weissagte wider diese Stadt und wider dieses Land nach allen Worten Jirmejahus.
Egypt is a fair heifer, [but] destruction from the north is come upon her.
21 Und König Jehojakim und alle seine Mächtigen und alle Obersten hörten seine Worte, und der König suchte ihn zu töten, und Urijahu hörte es und fürchtete sich und entwich, und kam nach Ägypten.
Also her hired [soldiers] in the midst of her are as fatted calves fed in her; for they also have turned, and fled with one accord: they stood not, for the day of destruction was come upon them, and the time of their retribution.
22 Und König Jehojakim sandte Männer nach Ägypten, Elnathan, Achbors Sohn, und Männer mit ihm nach Ägypten.
Their voice is as [that] of a hissing serpent, for they go upon the sand; they shall come upon Egypt with axes, as men that cut wood.
23 Und sie brachten Urijahu heraus aus Ägypten und brachten ihn herein zum König Jehojakim und er schlug ihn mit dem Schwerte, und warf seinen Leichnam hin bei den Gräbern der Söhne des Volkes.
They shall cut down her forest, says the Lord, for [their number] can’t at all be conjectured, for it exceeds the locust in multitude, and they are innumerable.
24 Doch die Hand Achikams, des Sohnes Schaphans, war mit Jirmejahu, daß man ihn nicht in die Hand des Volkes gab, um ihn zu töten.
The daughter of Egypt is confounded; she is delivered into the hands of a people from the north.
Behold, I [will] avenge Ammon her son upon Pharao, and upon them that trust in him.
But fear not you, my servant Jacob, neither be you alarmed, Israel: for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be at ease, and sleep, and there shall be no one to trouble him.
Fear not you, my servant Jacob, says the Lord; for I am with you: she [that was] without fear and in luxury, has been delivered up: for I will make a full end of every nation amongst whom I have thrust you forth; but I will not cause you to fail: yet will I chastise you in the way of judgement, and will not hold you entirely guiltless.
