1 Siehe, Jehovahs Hand ist nicht zu kurz, daß Er nicht retten könnte, und Sein Ohr nicht schwer, daß er nicht hörete.

2 Sondern eure Missetaten scheiden zwischen euch und eurem Gott, und eure Sünden verbergen das Angesicht von euch, daß Er nicht hörte.

3 Denn eure Hände sind befleckt mit Blut und eure Finger mit Missetat. Eure Lippen reden Lüge, eure Zunge sinnt Verkehrtheit.

4 Keiner ruft nach Gerechtigkeit, keiner richtet nach Wahrheit. Auf Leeres vertrauen sie und reden Eitles, sie empfangen Mühsal und gebären Unrecht.
