Jesaja 50
1 So spricht Jehovah: Wo ist der Scheidebrief eurer Mutter, mit dem Ich sie entlassen hätte? Oder wer ist von Meinen Gläubigern, an den Ich euch verkauft hätte? Siehe, um eurer Missetaten willen seid ihr verkauft, und wegen eurer Übertretungen ist eure Mutter entlassen.
Thus says the Lord, Of what kind is your mother's bill of divorcement, by which I put her away? or to which debtor have I sold you? Behold, you are sold for your sins, and for your iniquities have I put your mother away.
2 Warum kam Ich, und kein Mann war da? Rief Ich, und da war keiner, der antwortete? Ist Meine Hand zu kurz zum Lösen, und ist keine Kraft in Mir, daß Ich errettete? Siehe, Ich vertrockne das Meer mit Meinem Drohen, mache zur Wüste Flüsse. Es stinkt ihr Fisch, weil er kein Wasser hat, und stirbt vor Durst.
Why did I come, and there was no man? [why] did I call, and there was none to listen? Is not my hand strong to redeem? or can I not deliver? behold, by my rebuke I will dry up the sea, and make rivers a wilderness; and their fish shall be dried up because there is no water, and shall die for thirst.
3 In Düsterheit kleide Ich die Himmel, mache den Sack zu ihrer Decke.
I will clothe the sky with darkness, and will make its covering as sackcloth.
4 Der Herr Jehovah hat mir eine gelehrige Zunge gegeben, auf daß ich wisse, den Matten mit dem Worte zu erquicken. Er erweckt Morgen nach Morgen, Er erweckt mir das Ohr, zu hören wie ein Lehrling.
The Lord [even] God gives me the tongue of instruction, to know when it is fit to speak a word: he has appointed for me early, he has given me an ear to hear:
5 Der Herr Jehovah hat mir das Ohr geöffnet und ich war nicht widerspenstig, wich nicht zurück.
and the instruction of the Lord, even the Lord, opens mine ears, and I do not disobey, nor dispute.
6 Den Schlagenden bot meinen Rükken ich, und meine Wangen den Raufenden, mein Angesicht verbarg ich nicht vor Schande und Speichel.
I gave my back to scourges, and my cheeks to blows; and I turned not away my face from the shame of spitting:
7 Aber der Herr Jehovah steht mir bei, darum werde ich nicht zuschanden, darum setze ich mein Angesicht wie den Kieselstein, und weiß, daß ich nicht beschämt werde.
but the Lord God became my helper; therefore I was not ashamed, but I set my face as a solid rock; and I know that I shall never be ashamed,
8 Nahe ist, der mich rechtfertigt. Wer will hadern mit mir? Laßt uns zusammen hinstehen. Wer ist mein Gegner im Gericht? er trete herbei.
for he that has justified me draws near; who is he that pleads with me? let him stand up against me at the same time: yes, who is he that pleads with me? let him draw near to me.
9 Siehe, der Herr Jehovah steht mir bei. Wer will mich verdammen? Siehe, sie alle veralten wie ein Kleid, die Motte frißt sie.
Behold, the Lord, the Lord, will help me; who will hurt me? behold, all you shall wax old as a garment, and a moth shall devour you.
10 Wer unter euch fürchtet Jehovah, hört auf die Stimme Seines Knechtes? Der, so in Finsternissen wandelt ohne Glanz, der vertraue auf Jehovahs Namen und stütze sich auf seinen Gott!
Who is among you that fears the Lord? let him listen to the voice of his servant: you that walk in darkness, and have no light, trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon God.
11 Siehe, ihr alle, die ihr Feuer angefacht, euch mit Funken umgürtet habt, gehet hin in eures Feuers Glut und in die Funken, die ihr brennen lasset. Von Meiner Hand wird euch dies, ihr liegt im Schmerz.
Behold, you all kindle a fire, and feed a flame: walk in the light of your fire, and in the flame which you have kindled. This has happened to you for my sake; you shall lie down in sorrow.
