Jesaja 48
1 Höret das, o Haus Jakobs, die ihr genannt seid mit dem Namen Israels, und die ihr aus den Wassern Jehudahs hervorgegangen seid; die ihr schwört bei dem Namen Jehovahs, und des Gottes Israels gedenket nicht in Wahrheit und nicht in Gerechtigkeit;
Hear yee this, O house of Iaakob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come out of the waters of Iudah: which sweare by the Name of the Lord, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousnesse.
2 Weil ihr genannt seid nach der Stadt der Heiligkeit und euch lehnet auf den Gott Israels; Jehovah der Heerscharen ist Sein Name.
For they are called of the holy citie, and staie themselues vpon the God of Israel, whose Name is the Lord of hostes.
3 Das Frühere sage Ich an zuvor und von Meinem Munde ging es aus, und Ich ließ sie es hören, und plötzlich tue Ich es, daß es kommt.
I haue declared ye former things of old, and they went out of my mouth, and I shewed them: I did them suddenly, and they came to passe.
4 Weil Ich weiß, daß du hart bist, und dein Nacken eine Sehne von Eisen und deine Stirne ist Erz.
Because I knewe, that thou art obstinate, and thy necke is an yron sinew, and thy brow brasse,
5 Und Ich sage es dir an zuvor, lasse es dich hören, ehe denn es gekommen ist, daß du nicht sprechest: Mein Götzenbild hat es getan, und mein Schnitzbild, und mein Gußbild hat es so geboten.
Therefore I haue declared it to thee of old: before it came to passe, I shewed it thee, lest thou shouldest say, Mine idole hath done them, and my carued image, and my molten image hath commanded them.
6 Du hast es gehört, erschaue dir das alles, und ihr, wollt ihr es nicht ansagen? Ich laß dich Neues hören von nun an, und Verwahrtes, das du nicht hast gewußt.
Thou hast heard, behold all this, and wil not yee declare it? I haue shewed thee newe things, euen now, and hid things, which thou knewest not.
7 Nun ist es erschaffen und nicht zuvor und den Tag vorher, und du hattest es nicht gehört, auf daß du nicht sagen möchtest: Siehe, ich habe es gewußt.
They are created now, and not of olde, and euen before this thou heardest them not, lest thou shouldest say, Beholde, I knewe them.
8 Du hast es weder gehört, noch gewußt; auch war dein Ohr zuvor nicht geöffnet; denn Ich wußte, daß du treulos, ja treulos handeln würdest, und man dich einen Übertreter von Mutterleibe an nannte.
Yet thou heardest them not, neither diddest know them, neither yet was thine eare opened of olde: for I knewe that thou wouldest grieuously transgresse: therefore haue I called thee a transgressour from the wombe.
9 Um Meines Namens willen übe Ich Langmut, und Meines Lobes wegen halte Ich Mich ab von dir, daß Ich dich nicht ausrotte.
For my Names sake will I defer my wrath, and for my praise will I refraine it from thee, that I cut thee not off.
10 Siehe, Ich will dich läutern, aber nicht zu Silber, will dich erwählen in des Elends Schmelzofen.
Behold, I haue fined thee, but not as siluer: I haue chosen thee in the fornace of affliction.
11 Um Meinetwillen, um Meinetwillen tue Ich es; denn was sollte es entweiht werden? Und Meine Herrlichkeit will Ich keinem anderen geben.
For mine owne sake, for mine owne sake wil I doe it: for how should my Name be polluted? surely I wil not giue my glory vnto another.
12 Höre auf Mich, Jakob, und du, Israel, von Mir berufen, Ich bin Derselbe, Ich der Erste, Ich auch der Letzte.
Heare me, O Iaakob and Israel, my called, I am, I am the first, and I am the last.
13 Auch hat gegründet Meine Hand die Erde, und Meine Rechte die Himmel umspannt. Ich rufe ihnen, sie stehen da allzumal.
Surely mine hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heaues: when I cal them, they stand vp together.
14 Kommt zusammen ihr alle und höret. Wer unter ihnen hat solches angesagt? Jehovah liebt ihn, und wird tun, wozu Er Lust hat, an Babel und Seinen Arm an den Chaldäern.
All you, assemble your selues, and heare: which among them hath declared these thinges? The Lord hath loued him: he wil doe his will in Babel, and his arme shalbe against the Chaldeans.
15 Ich, Ich habe geredet, auch ihn gerufen, Ich habe ihn kommen lassen, und sein Weg gelingt.
I, euen I haue spoken it, and I haue called him: I haue brought him, and his way shall prosper.
16 Nahet zu Mir, höret dies: Ich habe vom Anfang an nicht im Verborgenen geredet. Von der Zeit, da es geschah, bin Ich allda. Und nun hat Mich der Herr Jehovah und Sein Geist gesandt.
Come neere vnto me: heare ye this: I haue not spoken it in secret from the beginning: from the time that the thing was, I was there, and now the Lord God and his Spirit hath sent me.
17 So spricht Jehovah, dein Erlöser, der Heilige Israels: Ich bin Jehovah, dein Gott, Der dich lehrt zum Nutzen, Der dich auf dem Wege, den du wandeln sollst, gehen läßt.
Thus saith the Lord thy redeemer, the Holy one of Israel, I am the Lord thy God, which teach thee to profite, and lead thee by the way, that thou shouldest goe.
18 O, daß du auf Meine Gebote horchtest! Dann wäre dein Friede gleich dem Flusse, und deine Gerechtigkeit so wie die Wogen des Meeres.
Oh that thou haddest hearkened to my commandements! then had thy prosperitie bene as the floude, and thy righteousnesse as the waues of the sea.
19 Und dein Same wäre wie der Sand, und deiner Eingeweide Sprößlinge wie dessen Kies. Sein Name würde nicht ausgerottet, noch vernichtet vor Meinem Angesicht.
Thy seede also had beene as the sande, and the fruite of thy body like the grauell thereof: his name should not haue bene cut off nor destroied before me.
20 Gehet aus von Babel; entweichet von den Chaldäern mit Stimmen des Jubelgesangs; saget an, lasset solches hören, bringt es aus bis an das Ende der Erde; sprechet: Jehovah hat erlöst Seinen Knecht Jakob.
Goe yee out of Babel: flee yee from the Chaldeans, with a voice of ioy: tel and declare this: shewe it foorth to the ende of the earth: say yee, The Lord hath redeemed his seruant Iaakob.
21 Und sie haben keinen Durst, Er läßt sie gehen in den Einöden, läßt für sie Wasser aus dem Felsen rieseln, und spaltet den Felsen, daß Wasser ihm entfließt.
And they were not thirstie: hee led them through the wildernesse: hee caused the waters to flowe out of the rocke for them: for he claue the rocke, and the water gushed out.
22 Keinen Frieden haben die Ungerechten, spricht Jehovah.
There is no peace, sayeth the Lord, vnto the wicked.
