Jesaja 29
1 Wehe, Ariel, Ariel, du Stadt, in der David sich hat gelagert. Tut Jahr zu Jahr, laßt Feste umlaufen!
Ah altar, altar of the citie that Dauid dwelt in: adde yere vnto yere: let them kill lambs.
2 Aber ängstigen will Ich Ariel, da wird Ächzen und Geächze sein, wie Ariel wird sie Mir sein.
But I wil bring the altar into distresse, and there shalbe heauines and sorowe, and it shall be vnto me like an altar.
3 Und Ich lagere wider dich wie ein Knäuel, und bedränge dich mit Besatzungen, und richte Bollwerke auf wider dich.
And I wil besiege thee as a circle, and fight against thee on a mount, and will cast vp ramparts against thee.
4 Und du wirst erniedrigt, von der Erde aus redest du, gedämpft steigt deine Rede aus vom Staub, und deine Stimme ist wie die eines Geistesbanners aus der Erde, und auf dem Staube flüstert deine Rede.
So shalt thou be humbled, and shalt speake out of the ground, and thy speach shalbe as out of the dust: thy voyce also shall be out of the ground like him that hath a spirite of diuination, and thy talking shall whisper out of the dust.
5 Und wie feiner Staub wird die Menge deiner Fremden, gleich vorbeigehender Spreu die Menge der Trotzigen, und wird sein plötzlich, unversehens.
Moreouer, the multitude of thy strangers shalbe like small dust, and the multitude of strong men shalbe as chaffe that passeth away, and it shall be in a moment, euen suddenly.
6 Heimgesucht wirst du von Jehovah der Heerscharen mit Donner und Erdbeben und großer Stimme, Sturmwind und Gewitter, und mit der Flamme fressenden Feuers.
Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hostes with thunder, and shaking, and a great noyse, a whirlewinde, and a tempest, and a flame of a deuouring fire.
7 Und wird sein wie ein Traum, ein Gesicht der Nacht, die Menge aller Völkerschaften, die ausrückten wider Ariel und all seine Heerscharen und seine Feste, und die sie ängstigten.
And the multitude of all the nations that fight against the altar, shalbe as a dreame or vision by night: euen all they that make the warre against it, and strong holdes against it, and lay siege vnto it.
8 Und wird sein, wie der Hungernde, der träumt, und siehe, er ißt, und er erwacht, und seine Seele ist leer; und wie wenn dem Dürstenden träumt, und siehe, ertrinkt, und er erwacht und siehe, er ist matt und seine Seele verlangt. So wird es mit der Menge aller Völkerschaften sein, die wider den Berg Zion ausrücken.
And it shalbe like as an hungry man dreameth, and beholde, he eateth: and when he awaketh, his soule is emptie: or like as a thirsty man dreameth, and loe, he is drinking, and when he awaketh, beholde, he is faint, and his soule longeth: so shall the multitude of all nations be that fight against mount Zion.
9 Zaudert und staunet, stieret und schreit. Sie sind trunken, und nicht vom Wein, sie schwanken, und nicht vom starken Getränk.
Stay your selues, and wonder: they are blinde, and make you blinde: they are drunken but not with wine: they stagger, but not by strong drinke.
10 Denn des tiefen Schlafes Geist hat über euch Jehovah ausgegossen und eure Augen zugedrückt, die Propheten und eure Häupter, die Seher hat Er bedeckt.
For the Lord hath couered you with a spirite of slumber, and hath shut vp your eyes: the Prophets, and your chiefe Seers hath he couered.
11 Und alles Gesichte ist euch wie die Worte eines versiegelten Buches, das man einem gibt, der die Buchstaben kennt und sagt: Lies doch das! Und er sagt: Ich kann nicht, denn es ist versiegelt.
And the vision of them all is become vnto you, as the wordes of a booke that is sealed vp, which they deliuer to one that can reade, saying, Reade this, I pray thee. Then shall he say, I can not: for it is sealed.
12 Und man gibt das Buch einem, der die Buchstaben nicht kennt und sagt: Lies doch das! Und der sagt: Ich kenne die Buchstaben nicht.
And the booke is giuen vnto him that can not reade, saying, Reade this, I pray thee. And he shall say, I can not reade.
13 Und der Herr spricht: Weil dies Volk zu Mir herzutritt mit dem Mund und Mich mit seinen Lippen verherrlicht, aber sein Herz fern von Mir ist; und ihre Furcht vor Mir nur Gebot ist, von Menschen angelernt,
Therefore the Lord sayd, Because this people come neere vnto me with their mouth, and honour me with their lips, but haue remooued their heart farre from me, and their feare toward me was taught by the precept of men,
14 Darum, siehe, will Ich, Jehovah, hinzutun, wunderbar mit diesem Volk umzugehen, wunderbar und wundersam, daß seiner Weisen Weisheit vergeht und seiner Einsichtsvollen Einsicht sich verberge.
Therefore behold, I wil againe doe a marueilous worke in this people, euen a marueilous worke, and a wonder: for the wisdome of their wise men shall perish, and the vnderstanding of their prudent men shalbe hid.
15 Wehe denen, die vor Jehovah ihren Rat tief bergen wollen, und ihr Werk ist im Finstern, und sie sprechen: Wer sieht uns, und wer kennt uns?
Wo vnto them that seeke deepe to hide their counsell from the Lord: for their workes are in darkenes, and they say, Who seeth vs? and who knoweth vs?
16 Wie seid ihr so verkehrt! Wird der Töpfer dem Ton gleich geachtet, daß das Werk von dem, der es macht, spräche: Er hat mich nicht gemacht! Und das Gebilde von dem Bildner spräche: Er hat keine Einsicht!
Your turning of deuises shall it not be esteemed as the potters clay? for shall the worke say of him that made it, Hee made me not? or the thing formed, say of him that facioned it, He had none vnderstanding?
17 Ist es nicht noch um ein gar Kleines, so wird der Libanon wieder zum Fruchtland, und das Fruchtland wird dem Walde gleich geachtet?
Is it not yet but a litle while, and Lebanon shall be turned into Carmel? and Carmel shall be counted as a forest?
18 Und an jenem Tag werden die Tauben hören die Worte des Buches, und aus Dunkel und Finsternis der Blinden Augen sehen?
And in that day shall the deafe heare the wordes of the booke, and the eyes of the blinde shall see out of obscuritie, and out of darkenesse.
19 Und Fröhlichkeit werden die Elenden wiederum in Jehovah haben, und die Dürftigen der Menschen im Heiligen Israels frohlocken.
The meeke in the Lord shall receiue ioye againe, and the poore men shall reioyce in the holy one of Israel.
20 Denn ein Ende hat der Trotzige, denn zu Ende ist es mit dem Spötter, und ausgerottet sind alle, die auf Unrecht lauerten,
For the cruel man shall cease, and the scornefull shalbe consumed: and all that hasted to iniquitie, shalbe cut off:
21 Die, so Menschen sündigen machten mit einem Worte, und den verstricken, so am Tore rügt, und den Gerechten ins Öde abwenden.
Which made a man to sinne in ye worde, and tooke him in a snare: which reproued them in the gate, and made the iust to fall without cause.
22 Darum spricht so Jehovah zu dem Hause Jakobs, Er, Der Abraham einlöste. Nicht soll Jakob nun sich schämen, und sein Angesicht soll nun nicht erblassen.
Therefore thus sayth the Lord vnto the house of Iaakob, euen hee that redeemed Abraham, Iaakob shall not now be confounded, neither now shall his face be pale.
23 Denn wenn er sieht seine Kinder, Meiner Hände Werk, werden in ihrer Mitte sie Meinen Namen heiligen, und heiligen Jakobs Heiligen, und vor dem Gotte Israels wird ihnen grauen.
But when he seeth his children, the worke of mine hands, in the mids of him, they shall sanctifie my Name, and sanctifie the holy one of Iaakob, and shall feare the God of Israel.
24 Und die, so irren im Geiste, werden kennen Einsicht, und die Murrenden werden Lehre lernen.
Then they that erred in spirit, shall haue vnderstanding, and they that murmured, shall learne doctrine.
