Jesaja 23
1 Die Weissagung über Zor: Heulet, ihr Schiffe von Tharschisch; denn es ist verheert, kein Haus, kein Eingehen; aus dem Lande der Kittäer wird es ihnen geoffenbart.
The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish! for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, none entering in. From the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.
2 Still sind der Insel Bewohner, der Händler Zidons, der über das Meer fuhr, der dich füllte.
Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle! The merchants of Sidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished thee.
3 Und in vielen Wassern war Schichors Saat; des Stromes Ernte war sein Ertrag. Und es war der Handelsplatz der Völkerschaften.
And on great waters, the seed of Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue; and she was the market of the nations.
4 Schäme dich, Zidon, denn es spricht das Meer, des Meeres Festung und sagt: Ich kreiße nicht und gebäre nicht, ich ziehe keine Jünglinge groß und erziehe keine Jungfrauen.
Be thou ashamed, Sidon, for the sea hath spoken, the strength of the sea, saying, I have not travailed nor brought forth, neither have I nourished young men [nor] brought up virgins.
5 Wie bei dem Gerücht von Ägypten kreiß-ten sie ob dem Gerücht von Zor.
— When the report came into Egypt, they were sorely pained at the news of Tyre.
6 Fahret hinüber nach Tharschisch, heulet, ihr Bewohner der Insel!
Pass over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the coast!
7 Ist das euch die Jauchzende? Aus der Vorzeit Tagen ist ihre Vorzeit. Es werden ihre Füße sie fernhin tragen, als Fremdling sich aufzuhalten.
Is this your joyous [city], whose antiquity is of ancient days? Her feet shall carry her afar off to sojourn.
8 Wer hat solches beschlossen über Zor, die sich krönte, deren Händler Fürsten, deren Kaufleute die Herrlichen des Landes waren.
Who hath purposed this against Tyre, the distributor of crowns, whose merchants were princes, whose dealers were the honourable of the earth?
9 Jehovah der Heerscharen hat es beschlossen, den Stolz jeglicher Zierde zu entweihen, und gering zu machen alle Herrlichen des Landes.
Jehovah of hosts hath purposed it, to profane the pride of all glory, to bring to nought all the honourable of the earth.
10 Gehe durch dein Land hin, wie der Strom, Tochter von Tharschisch; da ist keine Umgürtung mehr.
Overflow thy land like the Nile, daughter of Tarshish: there is no more restraint.
11 Er reckte Seine Hand über das Meer aus, machte zittern Königreiche, Jehovah gebot über Kanaan, seine Festungen zu vernichten.
He hath stretched out his hand over the sea, he shaketh the kingdoms. Jehovah hath given a commandment concerning Canaan, to destroy the strongholds thereof,
12 Und Er sprach: Jauchze nicht noch weiter, niedergedrückte Jungfrau, Tochter von Zidon, mache dich auf, ziehe zu den Kittäern hinüber! Auch dort wird keine Ruhe dir werden.
and hath said, Thou shalt no more exult, [thou] oppressed virgin, daughter of Sidon: get thee up, pass over to Chittim; even there shalt thou have no rest.
13 Siehe der Chaldäer Land, kein Volk war es, Aschur hat es gegründet in Zijim, sie werden ihre Warttürme aufrichten, aufführen ihre Paläste - zum Fall hat Er es gesetzt.
Behold the land of the Chaldeans: this people did not exist; the Assyrian founded it for the dwellers in the desert: they set up their towers, they destroyed the palaces thereof; he brought it to ruin.
14 Heulet, ihr Schiffe von Tharschisch, denn eure Festung ist verheert.
Howl, ships of Tarshish! for your fortress is laid waste.
15 Und an selbem Tage wird geschehen, daß Zor siebzig Jahre vergessen wird, gleich eines Königs Tagen. Vom Ende der siebzig Jahre an wird es mit Zor sein wie das Lied der Buhlerin.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. At the end of seventy years it shall be for Tyre as the harlot's song.
16 Nimm die Harfe, zieh in der Stadt umher, vergessene Buhlerin, mache es gut mit Spielen, mehre den Gesang, daß deiner man gedenke.
Take a harp, go about the city, thou forgotten harlot! Make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
17 Und am Ende von siebzig Jahren wird geschehen, daß Jehovah Zor heimsucht, und sie zu ihrem Buhlerlohn zurückkommt, und buhlt mit allen Königreichen der Erde auf den Angesichten des Bodens.
And it shall come to pass at the end of seventy years, that Jehovah will visit Tyre; and she will return to her hire, and will commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the earth upon the face of the ground.
18 Und ihr Erhandeltes und ihr Buhlerlohn wird Jehovah geheiligt werden. Nicht werden sie aufgehäuft, noch zurückgelegt; aber denen, die vor Jehovah wohnen, wird ihr Erhandeltes sein zum Essen bis zur Sättigung und zur dauernden Bedeckung.
And her merchandise and her hire shall be holy to Jehovah: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before Jehovah, to eat and be sufficed, and for excellent clothing.
