Jesaja 20

1 Im Jahr, da Tharthan nach Aschdod kam, da ihn Sargon, König von Aschur, sandte, und er wider Aschdod stritt und es gewann.

In the yeere that Tartan came to Ashdod, (when Sargon King of Asshur sent him) and had fought against Ashdod, and taken it,

2 Zur selben Zeit redete Jehovah durch die Hand Jeschajahus, des Sohnes des Amoz, und sprach: Gehe und löse den Sack von deinen Lenden und zieh ab den Schuh von deinem Fuß. Und er tat so und ging nackt und barfuß.

At the same time spake the Lord by ye hand of Isaiah the sonne of Amoz, saying, Goe, and loose the sackecloth from thy loynes, and put off thy shooe from thy foote. And he did so, walking naked and barefoote.

3 Und Jehovah sprach: Wie mein Knecht Jeschajahu nackt und barfuß geht drei Jahre, als Zeichen und Wahrzeichen über Ägypten und über Kusch:

And the Lord said, Like as my seruant Isaiah hath walked naked, and barefoote three yeeres, as a signe and wonder vpon Egypt, and Ethiopia,

4 So wird wegtreiben Aschurs König die Gefangenschaft Ägyptens und Kuschs Verbannte, Junge und Alte, nackt und barfuß mit aufgedecktem Gesäß, die Blöße Ägyptens.

So shall the King of Asshur take away the captiuitie of Egypt, and the captiuitie of Ethiopia, both yong men and olde men, naked and barefoote, with their buttockes vncouered, to the shame of Egypt.

5 Daß sie entsetzt und beschämt werden ob Kusch, auf den sie vertrauten, und auf Ägypten, ihren Schmuck.

And they shall feare, and be ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.

6 Und sprechen wird an jenem Tag, der auf dieser Insel wohnt: Siehe, so ist unsere Zuversicht, zu der wir flohen um Beistand, zur Errettung vor Aschurs König! Und wie sind wir entronnen?

Then shall the inhabitant of this yle say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we fledde for helpe to be deliuered from the King of Asshur, and howe shall we be deliuered?
