Jesaja 16
1 Sendet das Lamm des Herrschers des Landes von Sela nach der Wüste zum Berg der Tochter Zions.
Send ye the lambs to the ruler of the land, From Selah through the wilderness To the mount of the daughter of Zion!
2 Und wie ein flüchtiger Vogel, ein entsandtes Nest, werden die Töchter Moabs sein an Arnons Furten.
For as a wandering bird, As a forthdriven nest, So shall be the daughters of Moab At the fords of Arnon; [[saying, ]]
3 Bringet Rat, machet Entscheid, setze deinen Schatten in der Mitte des Mittags wie die Nacht, birg die Verstoßenen und offenbare den Flüchtigen nicht.
“Offer counsel; give decision, Make thy shadow at noonday like the darkness of night. Hide the outcasts; Betray not the fugitives.
4 Lasset meine Verstoßene in dir weilen; o Moab, sei ihnen eine Burg vor dem Verheerer, bis der Bedrücker ein Ende hat, alle wird der Verheerer, der Zerstampfer ein Ende nimmt.
Let my outcasts dwell with thee, [[O Zion!]] Be thou to them a covert from the spoiler! For the extortion is at an end, The spoiling ceaseth. The oppressors are consumed from the land.
5 Und befestigt wird der Thron durch Barmherzigkeit, und auf ihm sitzt in Wahrheit in Davids Zelt ein Richter, der nach Recht fragt und eilends fördert die Gerechtigkeit.
Then shall your throne be established through mercy, And upon it shall sit in the house of David A judge searching for justice, and prompt in equity.”
6 Wir hören von Moabs Stolz, er ist sehr hochmütig, von seinem Hochmut und seinem Stolz und seinem Wüten, und von seinen Unwahrheiten, die nicht richtig sind.
“We have beard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud; His haughtiness, and his pride, and his insolence, His vain boastings.”
7 Darob wird heulen Moab, ganz Moab wird heulen ob den Grundfesten von Kir-Chareseth; ihr werdet seufzen ganz zerknirscht.
Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab; Every one shall howl; For the ruins of Kir-hares shall ye mourn, In deep affliction.
8 Denn Cheschbons Gefilde ist verschmachtet, der Weinstock Sibmahs; die Meister der Völkerschaften zerschlugen seine Edelreben, bis Jaeser reichten sie, sie wanderten über die Wüste hin, und seine Ranken breiteten sich hin und gingen hinüber über das Meer.
For the fields of Heshbon languish, The lords of the nations break down the choicest shoots of the vine of Sibmah, They reached even to Jazer; they wandered into the desert; Her branches were spread out; they crossed the sea.
9 Darum beweine ich mit Weinen Jaeser, den Weinstock Sibmahs, netze mit meiner Träne dich, Cheschbon und Elealeh, daß auf deine Lese und auf deine Ernte fällt das Kelterlied.
Therefore I will weep, like Jazer, for the vine of Sibmah; I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon and Elealah, For upon thy summer fruits, and thy harvest, the war-shout is fallen.
10 Und Fröhlichkeit und Frohlocken ist weggenommen vom Karmel, und in den Weinbergen jubelt man nicht, man schreit nicht, Wein in den Kufen tritt nicht der Treter. Den Kelterruf lasse ich feiern.
Gladness and joy are driven from the fruitful field, And in the vineyards is no singing nor shouting; The treaders tread out no wine in their vats; I have made the vintage-shouting to cease.
11 Darum dröhnen meine Eingeweide um Moab, wie die Harfe, und mein Inwendiges über Kir-Chares.
Therefore shall my bowels sound like a harp for Moab, And my inward parts for Kir-hares.
12 Und es geschieht, daß man sieht, wie Moab sich abmüht auf der Opferhöhe, und er kommt in sein Heiligtum zu beten und vermag nichts.
And it shall come to pass that though Moab present himself, Though he weary himself upon his high places, And go up to his sanctuary to pray, Yet shall he not prevail.
13 Dies ist das Wort, das vordem Jehovah über Moab geredet hat.
This is the word which Jehovah spake concerning Moab of old.
14 Nun aber redet Jehovah und sagt: In drei Jahren, wie des Löhners Jahren, wird Moabs Herrlichkeit gering werden bei aller seiner vielen Menge, und verbleibt nur ein winzig Weniges, ohne Gewalt.
But now saith Jehovah: Within three years, like the years of a hireling, The glory of Moab shall be put to shame, With all his great multitude; And the remnant shall be very small, and without strength.
