Jesaja 13
1 Die Weissagung über Babel, was Jeschajahu, Amoz Sohn, erschaute:
The burden of Babel, which Isaiah the sonne of Amoz did see.
2 Auf ragendem Berge erhebet das Panier, erhöhet die Stimme für sie, winket mit der Hand, daß sie eingehen durch der Fürsten Eingänge.
Lift vp a standard vpon the hie mountaine: lift vp the voyce vnto them: wagge the hand, that they may goe into the gates of the nobles.
3 Ich habe geboten meinen Geheiligten, auch meine Helden gerufen zu meinem Zorn, die jauchzen ob meiner Hoheit.
I haue commanded them, that I haue sanctified: and I haue called ye mightie to my wrath, and them that reioyce in my glorie.
4 Die Stimme einer Menge ist auf den Bergen, gleich wie von vielem Volk, die Stimme des Tosens von Königsreichen versammelter Völkerschaften. Jehovah der Heerscharen mustert das Heer zum Streit.
The noyse of a multitude is in the mountaines, like a great people: a tumultuous voyce of the kingdomes of the nations gathered together: the Lord of hostes nombreth the hoste of the battell.
5 Aus fernem Lande kommen sie, von der Himmel Ende, Jehovah und die Werkzeuge Seines Unwillens, um zu zerstören alles Land.
They come from a farre countrey, from the end of the heauen: euen the Lord with the weapons of his wrath to destroy the whole land.
6 Heulet, denn nahe ist Jehovahs Tag. Verheerung von Schaddai kommt.
Howle you, for the day of the Lord is at hande: it shall come as a destroier from the Almightie.
7 Darob erschlaffen die Hände aller, und jegliches Menschen Herz zerschmilzt.
Therefore shall all hands be weakened, and all mens hearts shall melt,
8 Sie sind bestürzt, Wehen und Geburtsnöte ergreifen sie, sie kreißen wie eine Gebärerin; ein Mann starrt an seinen Genossen. Flammengesichter sind ihre Angesichter.
And they shalbe afraid: anguish and sorowe shall take them, and they shall haue paine, as a woman that trauaileth: euery one shall be amased at his neighbour, and their faces shalbe like flames of fire.
9 Siehe, Jehovahs Tag kommt grausam und wütend und mit Entbrennung des Zornes, das Land in Verwüstung zu legen und seine Sünder daraus zu vernichten.
Beholde, the day of the Lord commeth, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger to lay the land wast: and he shall destroy the sinners out of it.
10 Denn die Sterne der Himmel und ihre Sternbilder lassen ihr Licht nicht leuchten, die Sonne ist finster in ihrem Ausgang und der Mond läßt sein Licht nicht glänzen.
For the starres of heauen and the planets thereof shall not giue their light: the sunne shalbe darkened in his going foorth, and the moone shall not cause her light to shine.
11 Und heimsuchen will Ich in der Welt das Böse, und an den Ungerechten ihre Misse- tat und dem Stolz der Vermessenen Einhalt tun, und der Trotzigen Übermut erniedrigen.
And I will visite the wickednes vpon the worlde, and their iniquitie vpon the wicked, and I wil cause the arrogancie of the proud to cease, and will cast downe the pride of tyrants.
12 Kostbarer will Ich den Mann machen, denn feines Gold, und den Menschen, denn Ophirs lauteres Gold.
I will make a man more precious then fine golde, euen a man aboue the wedge of golde of Ophir.
13 Darum lasse Ich die Himmel zittern und die Erde erbeben von ihrem Ort, bei dem Wüten Jehovahs der Heerscharen und am Tage des Entbrennens Seines Zornes.
Therefore I will shake the heauen, and the earth shall remooue out of her place in the wrath of the Lord of hostes, and in the day of his fierce anger.
14 Und es geschieht, daß wie ein verscheuchtes Reh, und wie die Herde, die keiner zusammenbringt, der Mann zu seinem Volke sich wendet und der Mann nach seinem Lande flieht.
And it shall be as a chased doe, and as a sheepe that no man taketh vp. euery man shall turne to his owne people, and flee eche one to his owne lande.
15 Jeder, der gefunden wird, wird durchstochen, und jeder, der sich versammelt, fällt durch das Schwert.
Euery one that is founde, shall be striken through: and whosoeuer ioyneth himselfe, shall fal by the sworde.
16 Und ihre Kindlein werden vor ihren Augen zerschmettert, geplündert ihre Häuser und geschändet ihre Weiber.
Their children also shall be broken in pieces before their eyes: their houses shall be spoiled, and their wiues rauished.
17 Siehe, Ich errege wider sie die Meder, die Silber nicht achten und keine Lust am Golde haben;
Beholde, I will stirre vp the Medes against them, which shall not regarde siluer, nor be desirous of golde.
18 Und die Jünglinge zerschmettern die Bogen und erbarmen sich nicht der Frucht des Leibes, noch schont ihr Auge der Söhne.
With bowes also shall they destroy ye children, and shall haue no compassion vpon the fruit of the wombe, and their eies shall not spare the children.
19 Und Babel, die Zierde der Königreiche, der Schmuck des Stolzes der Chaldäer wird wie die Umkehrung Gottes von Sodom und Gomorrah.
And Babel the glorie of kingdomes, the beautie and pride of the Chaldeans, shall be as the destruction of God in Sodom and Gomorah.
20 Nimmermehr wird man darin wohnen, und nicht wohne man da auf Geschlecht und Geschlecht, nicht zeltet dort der Araber und die Hirten lassen dort nicht lagern.
It shall not bee inhabited for euer, neither shall it be dwelled in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch his tents there, neither shall the shepheardes make their foldes there.
21 Und die Zijim lagern dort, und ihre Häuser füllen die Ochim, und die Töchter der Nachteulen wohnen da, und allda hüpfen die Feldteufel.
But Ziim shall lodge there, and their houses shall be ful of Ohim: Ostriches shall dwel there, and the Satyrs shall dance there.
22 Und die Ijim antworten einander in ihren Palästen und Drachen in den Tempeln der Üppigkeit. Und nah ist ihre Zeit, daß sie komme und ihre Tage werden nicht verziehen.
And Iim shall crie in their palaces, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and the time thereof is readie to come, and the daies thereof shall not be prolonged.
