Jesaja 1
1 Gesicht Jesajahs, des Sohnes Amoz, das er erschaute über Jehudah und Jerusalem in den Tagen Ussijahs, Jothams, Achas, Chiskijahus, der Könige von Jehudah.
The visions of Isaiah, the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
2 Höret, ihr Himmel und nimm zu Ohren du Erde, denn Jehovah redet: Söhne habe Ich großgezogen und erhöht und sie sind von Mir abgefallen.
Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For Jehovah speaketh: “I have nourished and brought up children, And they have rebelled against me.
3 Der Ochse kennt seinen Besitzer und der Esel die Krippe seines Meisters; Israel weiß es nicht, und Mein Volk hat keine Einsicht.
The ox knoweth his owner, And the ass his master's crib; But Israel doth not know; My people do not consider.”
4 Wehe der sündhaften Völkerschaft, dem Volk mit Missetat beschwert, dem Samen der Bösewichter, den verdorbenen Söhnen! Verlassen haben sie Jehovah, verlästert den Heiligen Israels, und sind Ihm entfremdet.
Ah, sinful nation! a people laden with iniquity! A race of evil-doers! degenerate children! They have forsaken Jehovah; they have despised the Holy One of Israel; They have gone backward.
5 Was sollt ihr weiter geschlagen werden? Ihr mehret den Abfall. Das ganze Haupt ist krank und es siecht das ganze Herz.
Where can ye be smitten again, Since ye renew your rebellion? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint;
6 Von der Fußsohle und bis zum Haupt ist nichts Gesundes an ihm. Wunde und Strieme und frischer Schlag, nicht ausgedrückt noch verbunden, noch mit Öl erweicht.
From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it; It is all bruises, and stripes, and flesh wounds, Neither pressed, nor bound up, nor softened with ointment.
7 Euer Land ist wüste, eure Städte verbrannt mit Feuer. Vor euch fressen Fremde euren Boden auf; und er ist wüste, als von Fremden umgekehrt.
Your country is desolate; Your cities are burnt with fire; Your ground, strangers devour it before your eyes; It is become desolate, destroyed by an enemy.
8 Und Zions Tochter bleibt übrig, wie eine Hütte im Weinberg, wie eine Nachthütte im Gurkenfeld, wie eine belagerte Stadt.
And the daughter of Zion is left as a shed in a vineyard, As a hut in a garden of cucumbers, As a besieged city.
9 Hätte uns Jehovah der Heerscharen nicht einen Rest übriggelassen, wie ein Kleines, wie Sodom wären wir, Gomorrah glichen wir.
Had not Jehovah of hosts left us a small remnant, We had soon become as Sodom; We had been like to Gomorrah.
10 Höret das Wort Jehovahs, Sodoms Anführer; nimm zu Ohren das Gesetz unseres Gottes, Volk Gomorrahs!
Hear ye the word of Jehovah, ye princes of Sodom! Give ear to the instruction of our God, ye people of Gomorrah!
11 Was soll Mir eurer Opfer Menge? spricht Jehovah. Satt bin Ich der Brandopfer der Widder und des Fettes der Gemästeten, und habe keine Lust am Blut der Farren und der Schafe und Böcke.
What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? saith Jehovah; I am satiated with burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; In the blood of bullocks and of lambs and of goats I have no delight.
12 Wenn ihr hereinkommt, Mein Angesicht zu sehen, wer hat solches von eurer Hand gefordert, daß ihr Meine Vorhöfe zerstampfen sollt?
When ye come to appear before me, Who hath required this of you, to tread my courts?
13 Bringt nicht mehr eitel Speiseopfer herein! Ein Greuel ist Mir Räuchwerk, Neumond und Sabbath, das Ausrufen der Zusammenberufung. Nicht ertrag Ich das Unrecht und die Festversammlung.
Bring no more false oblations! Incense is an abomination to me, The new moon also, and the sabbath, and the calling of the assembly; Iniquity and festivals I cannot endure.
14 Eure Neumonde und Festzeiten hasset Meine Seele, zur Beschwerde sind sie geworden Mir, Ich bin es müde, sie zu tragen.
Your new moons and your feasts my soul hateth; They are a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them.
15 Und wenn ihr eure Hände ausbreitet, so decke Ich Meine Augen zu vor euch. Auch wenn ihr viel des Betens macht, höre Ich es nicht: eure Hände sind voll Blut.
When ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; Yea, when ye multiply prayers, I will not hear: Your hands are full of blood!
16 Waschet, läutert euch, tut weg vor meinen Augen das Böse eurer Werke. Höret auf, Böses zu tun.
Wash you; make you clean; Put away your evil doings from before mine eyes;
17 Lernet Gutes tun, fraget nach Recht, helfet auf den Unterdrückten, richtet die Waise, hadert für die Witwe.
Cease to do evil; Learn to do well; Seek justice; relieve the oppressed; Defend the fatherless; plead for the widow!
18 Kommt doch und laßt uns rechten, spricht Jehovah. Sind wie Scharlach eure Sünden, sie sollen weiß wie der Schnee werden, und sind sie rot wie Rosinfarbe, sie sollen wie die Wolle werden.
Come, now, and let us argue together, saith Jehovah. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they be red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
19 Seid ihr willig und höret, sollet ihr essen das Gute des Landes.
If ye be willing and obedient, Ye shall consume the good of the land.
20 Weigert ihr euch aber, und seid widerspenstig, werdet ihr vom Schwert gefressen, denn der Mund Jehovahs hat es geredet.
But if ye refuse, and be rebellious, The sword shall consume you; For the mouth of Jehovah hath said it.
21 Wie ist zur Buhlerin geworden die treue Stadt, sie war voll von Recht, Gerechtigkeit übernachtete in ihr, jetzt aber Mörder.
How is the faithful city become a harlot, She that was full of equity! Once justice dwelt in her, but now murderers!
22 Dein Silber ist zu Schlacken geworden, dein Wein mit Wasser vermischt.
Thy silver is become dross; Thy wine is adulterated with water.
23 Störrisch sind deine Obersten und Gesellen von Dieben, jeder liebt Geschenke und jagen der Vergeltung nach, schaffen nicht Recht dem Waisen, lassen der Witwe Rechtshandel nicht vor sich kommen.
Thy princes are faithless, companions of thieves; Every one of them loveth gifts, and seeketh rewards; They render not justice to the fatherless, And the cause of the widow cometh not before them.
24 Darum, so spricht der Herr, Jehovah der Heerscharen, der Gewaltige Israels: Wehe! Ich tröste Mich an Meinen Drängern und räche Mich an Meinen Feinden.
Wherefore, thus saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel: Ha! I will ease me of mine adversaries, And avenge me of mine enemies.
25 Und Ich wende Meine Hand zurück gegen dich und läutere wie Lauterkeit deine Schlacken und tue weg all dein Zinn.
And I will again turn my hand toward thee, And wholly purge away thy dross, And take away all thy alloy.
26 Und gebe dir wieder deine Richter, wie zuerst, und deine Räte, wie zu Anbeginn. Danach wird man dich nennen Stadt der Gerechtigkeit, die getreue Stadt.
And I will restore thee judges, as at the first, And counsellors, as at the beginning. Then shalt thou be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.
27 Zion wird durch das Gericht eingelöst werden, und durch Gerechtigkeit, die in ihm zurückkehren.
Through justice shall Zion be delivered, And her reformed sons through righteousness.
28 Und Bruch über die Übertreter und Sünder allzumal, und verzehrt werden, die Jehovah verließen.
But destruction shall fall at once on the rebels and sinners; Yea, they that forsake Jehovah shall be consumed.
29 Denn sie werden sich der Eichen schämen, die ihr begehrtet, und erröten ob den Gärten, die ihr euch erwähltet.
For ye shall be ashamed of the terebinths in which ye delighted; Ye shall blush for the gardens which ye loved;
30 Denn ihr werdet wie eine Eiche sein, deren Blatt welkt, und wie ein Garten, der kein Wasser hat.
And ye shall be as a terebinth-tree whose leaves are withered, And as a garden in which is no water.
31 Und werden wird zu Werg der Mächtige und sein Tun zum Funken, daß beide zusammen brennen und niemand es lösche.
The strong shall become tow, And his work a spark of fire; Both shall burn together, And none shall quench them.
