Hosea 1

1 Das Wort Jehovahs, das geschah an Hoschea, den Sohn Beeris, in den Tagen Ussijahs, Jothams, Achas, Jechiskijahs, der Könige Jehudahs, und in den Tagen Jerobeams, des Sohnes von Tagen Jerobeams, König von Israel.

The worde of the Lord that came vnto Hosea the sonne of Beeri, in the daies of Vzziah, Iotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah Kings of Iudah, and in the daies of Ieroboam the sonne of Ioash king of Israel.

2 Anbeginn dessen, was Jehovah redete durch Hoschea. Und Jehovah sprach zu Hoschea: Gehe, nimm dir ein Weib der Buhlereien und Kinder der Buhlereien, denn das Land buhlt hinweg von Jehovah.

At the beginning the Lord spake by Hosea, and the Lord said vnto Hosea, Goe, take vnto thee a wife of fornications, and children of fornications: for the lande hath committed great whoredome, departing from the Lord.

3 Und er ging hin und nahm Gomer, Tochter Diblajims, und sie empfing und gebar ihm einen Sohn.

So he went, and tooke Gomer, ye daughter of Diblaim, which conceiued and bare him a sonne.

4 Und Jehovah sprach zu ihm: Nenne seinen Namen Jisreel; denn noch um ein Kleines, so suche Ich das Blut Jisreels am Hause Jehus heim und mache ein Ende mit dem Reiche des Hauses Israel.

And the Lord said vnto him, Cal his name Izreel: for yet a litle, and I will visite the blood of Izreel vpon the house of Iehu, and will cause to cease the kingdome of the house of Israel.

5 Und am selbigen Tage soll es geschehen, daß Ich den Bogen Israels zerbreche im Talgrund Jisreel.

And at that day will I also breake the bowe of Israel in the valley of Izreel.

6 Und sie empfing wieder und gebar eine Tochter; und Er sprach zu ihm: Nenne ihren Namen Lo-Ruchamah; denn Ich erbarme Mich fortan nicht mehr des Hauses Israel, daß Ich ihnen verzeihe.

She conceiued yet againe, and bare a daughter, and God saide vnto him, Call her name Lo-ruhamah: for I will no more haue pitie vpon the house of Israel: but I wil vtterly take them away.

7 Des Hauses Jehudah aber erbarme Ich Mich und rette sie durch Jehovah, ihren Gott; und Ich helfe ihnen, nicht durch Bogen und durch Schwert und durch Streit, durch Rosse und durch Reiter.

Yet I will haue mercie vpon the house of Iudah, and wil saue them by the Lord their God, and wil not saue them by bow, nor by sword nor by battell, by horses, nor by horsemen.

8 Und sie entwöhnte Lo-Ruchamah, und empfing und gebar einen Sohn.

Nowe when she had wained Lo-ruhamah, shee conceiued, and bare a sonne.

9 Und Er sprach: Nenne seinen Namen Lo-Ammi; denn ihr seid nicht Mein Volk; und Ich werde nicht der eurige sein.

Then saide God, Call his name Lo-ammi: for yee are not my people: therefore will I not be yours.

10 Aber die Zahl der Söhne Israels wird sein wie der Sand des Meeres, den man nicht messen und nicht zählen kann; und am Orte, da man zu ihnen sagte: Ihr seid nicht Mein Volk, wird man zu ihnen sagen: Söhne des lebendigen Gottes.

Yet the nomber of the children of Israel shall be as the sande of the sea, which can not be measured nor tolde: and in the place where it was saide vnto them, Yee are not my people, it shall be saide vnto them, Yee are the sonnes of the liuing God.

11 Und es werden sich zusammentun die Söhne Jehudahs und die Söhne Israels allzumal, und ein Haupt über sich setzen und aus dem Lande heraufziehen; denn groß wird sein der Tag Jisreels.

Then shall the children of Iudah, and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint them selues one head, and they shall come vp out of the land: for great is the day of Izreel.
