Hebraeer 7
1 Dieser Melchisedek war nämlich König zu Salem, ein Priester Gottes, des Allerhöchsten, der dem Abraham entgegenging, als er aus der Schlacht wider die Könige siegreich zurückkehrte, und ihn segnete;
For, this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him, —
2 Dem auch Abraham von allem den Zehnten gab. Auf das erste wird er verdolmetscht König der Gerechtigkeit; sodann aber ist er auch König von Salem, das ist König des Friedens,
To whom even a tenth of all Abraham apportioned, first, indeed, when translated, King of Righteousness, but, after that, King of Salem also, which is King of Peace, —
3 Ohne Vater, ohne Mutter, ohne Geschlechtsnachweis, und hat weder Anfang der Tage noch Ende des Lebens, ein Abbild des Sohnes Gottes, bleibt Er Priester in Ewigkeit.
Without father, without mother, without pedigree, having, neither beginning of days, nor of life an end, but made like unto the Son of God, abideth a priest evermore.
4 Ihr seht aber, wie groß Er ist, Dem auch der Erzvater Abraham den Zehnten von der Beute gibt!
Now consider, how great, this man was, to whom, a tenth, Abraham gave out of the choicest spoils, [Yea Abraham] the Patriarch.
5 Zwar haben die von den Kindern Levi, so die Priesterwürde empfangen, ein Gebot, nach dem Gesetz vom Volk, das heißt von ihren Brüdern, den Zehnten zu nehmen, wiewohl auch sie aus den Lenden Abrahams gekommen sind.
And, they, indeed, from among the sons of Levi who the priesthood receive, have commandment to take tithes of the people, according to the law, that is, of their brethren, although sprung from the loins of Abraham;
6 Aber Er, Dessen Geschlecht unter ihnen nicht aufgeführt wird, nahm den Zehnten von Abraham, und segnete den, der die Verheißung hatte.
But, he who deriveth not his pedigree from among them, hath taken tithes of Abraham. And, the holder of the promises, hath he blessed.
7 Nun ist es ohne allen Widerspruch also, daß das Geringere von dem Besseren gesegnet wird,
But, apart from all gainsaying, the less, by the greater, is blessed.
8 Und hier nehmen den Zehnten sterbliche Menschen, dort aber Einer, von Dem bezeugt wird, daß Er lebe.
And, here, indeed, dying men take tithes, but, there, one of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
9 Und durch Abraham wird sozusagen auch von Levi, der den Zehnten nimmt, der Zehnte genommen;
And—so to say a word—through Abraham, even Levi who taketh tithes hath paid tithes;
10 Denn er war noch in den Lenden des Vaters, da ihm Melchisedek entgegenging.
For, even then, was he, in the loins of his father, when, Melchizedek, met him.
11 Wäre nun die Vollendung durch das levitische Priestertum geschehen
If indeed, therefore, there had been, a perfecting through means of the Levitical priesthood, —for, the people, thereon, have had based a code of laws, what further need, according to the rank of Melchizedek, for a different priest to be raised up, and, not according to the rank of Aaron, to be designated?
12 Denn wo das Priestertum verändert wird, da wird notwendig auch das Gesetz verändert,
For, seeing there is to be a change of the priesthood, of necessity, of law too, a change cometh.
13 Denn Der, von Dem solches gesagt wird, gehört zu einem anderen Stamm, aus dem nie einer am Altar zu tun gehabt.
For, he as to whom these things are said, with a different tribe, hath taken partnership, from which, no one, hath given attendance at the altar;
14 Es ist ja offenbar, daß unser Herr aus Judah hervorgegangen ist, über welchem Stamm Moses in bezug auf das Priestertum nichts geredet hat.
For it is, very evident, that out of Judah hath sprung our Lord, —respecting which tribe, concerning priests, nothing did Moses speak,
15 Und es ist noch viel mehr offenbar, wenn nach der Ordnung Melchisedeks ein anderer Priester aufkommt,
And, yet more abundantly evident it is—that, according to the likeness of Melchizedek, there is to be raised up, a different priest.
16 Der es nicht nach dem Gesetz eines fleischlichen Gebotes geworden ist, sondern nach der Kraft unvergänglichen Lebens.
Who, not according to a law of commandment dealing with the flesh, hath arisen, but according to the power of an indissoluble life;
For it is witnessed—Thou, art a priest, age-abidingly, according to the rank of Melchizedek. (aiōn g165)
18 Denn es findet eine Aufhebung des früheren Gebotes statt, weil es zu schwach und unwirksam
For, a setting aside, doth, indeed, take place, of a foregoing commandment, by reason of its own weakness and unprofitableness, —
19 Das Gesetz brachte ja nichts zur Vollendung und es erfolgt die Einführung einer besseren Hoffnung, durch die wir uns Gott nahen dürfen,
For, the law, perfected, nothing; but there is the superinducing of a better hope, —through which we draw near unto God.
20 Und inwiefern dies nicht ohne eidliche Zusicherung geschieht jene sind ja ohne Eidschwur Priester geworden;
And, inasmuch as not apart from oath-taking—
21 Er aber mit einem Eidschwur durch Den, Der da zu Ihm spricht: Der Herr hat geschworen, und es wird Ihn nicht gereuen: Du bist Priester in Ewigkeit nach der Ordnung Mel- chisedeks], (aiōn g165)
For, they, indeed, apart from oath-taking, have been made priests, but, he, with an oath-taking, through him that was saying unto him—The Lord sware, and will not regret, —Thou, art a priest, age-abidingly (aiōn g165)
22 In sofern auch ist Jesus eines um so besseren Bundes Bürge geworden.
By as much as this, hath, Jesus, become surety of a better covenant also.
23 Und jener sind viele, die Priester wurden, darum, daß sie durch den Tod es nicht bleiben durften.
And, they, indeed, in greater numbers, have been made priests, because, by reason of death, are they hindered from remaining at hand;
But, he, by reason of his remaining age-abidingly, untransmissible, holdeth, the priesthood. (aiōn g165)
25 Darum kann Er auch ganz und gar erretten diejenigen, die durch Ihn vor Gott treten, da Er ewiglich lebt und Sich ihrer annehmen kann.
Whence he is able, even to be saving unto the very end, them who approach, through him, unto God; Since he evermore liveth to be interceding in their behalf.
26 Denn ein solcher Hoherpriester ziemte uns, heilig, unschuldig, unbefleckt, von den Sündern abgesondert, höher denn die Himmel;
For, such a high-priest as this, for us, was [even] suited: Loving, noble, undefiled, set apart from sinners, and become, higher than the heavens;
27 Der nicht, wie jene Hohenpriester, erst für die eigenen Sünden, dann für die des Volkes täglich Opfer darzubringen hatte; denn dies tat Er ein für allemal, indem Er Sich Selbst darbrachte.
Who hath no daily necessity, like the high-priests, beforehand, over his own sins, to be offering sacrifices, after that, over those, of the people, —for, this, he did once for all when, himself, he offered up.
28 Denn das Gesetz bestellt Menschen zu Hohenpriestern, die Schwachheit an sich haben, das Wort aber der eidlichen Verhei-ßung, die später als das Gesetz gemacht wurde, den Sohn, Der ewiglich vollendet ist. (aiōn g165)
For, the law, constituteth, men, high-priests, having, weakness; but, the word of the oath-taking, which cometh after the law, A Son, age-abidingly, made perfect. (aiōn g165)
