1 Mose 34
1 Und Dinah, die Tochter Leahs, die sie dem Jakob gebar, ging aus, um die Töchter des Landes zu sehen.
Dina the doughter of Lea which she bare vnto Iacob went out to see the doughters of the lande.
2 Und Schechem, der Sohn Chamors, des Chiviters, des Fürsten des Landes, sah sie und nahm sie und lag bei ihr und schwächte sie.
And Siche the sonne of Hemor the Heuite lorde of the countre sawe her and toke her and laye with her and forced her:
3 Und seine Seele hing an Dinah, der Tochter Jakobs, und er liebte das Mädchen und redete zu dem Herzen des Mädchens.
and his harte laye vnto Dina ye doughter of Iacob. And he loued yt damsell and spake kidly vnto her
4 Und Schechem sprach zu Chamor, seinem Vater, und sagte: Nimm mir dieses Mädchen zum Weibe.
and spake vnto his father Hemor saynge gett me this mayde vnto my wyfe.
5 Und Jakob hörte, daß er Dinah, seine Tochter, geschändet hatte; seine Söhne aber waren bei seiner Viehherde auf dem Felde, und Jakob schwieg stille, bis sie kamen.
And Iacob herde that he had defyled Dina his doughter but his sonnes were with the catell in the felde and therfore he helde his peace vntill they were come.
6 Chamor aber, Schechems Vater, ging heraus zu Jakob, um mit ihm zu reden.
Then Hemor the father of Sichem went out vnto Iacob to come with him.
7 Und die Söhne Jakobs kamen vom Felde, als sie es hörten, und es schmerzte die Männer und sie entbrannten sehr, daß er eine Torheit in Israel getan und bei der Tochter Jakobs gelegen hatte, und solches sollte nicht getan werden.
And the sonnes of Iacob came out of the felde as soone as they herde it for it greued them and they were not a litle wrooth because he had wrought folie in Israell in that he had lyen with Iacobs doughter which thinge oughte not to be done.
8 Und Chamor redete mit ihnen und sprach: Die Seele meines Sohnes Schechem hat Gefallen an eurer Tochter, gebet sie ihm doch zum Weibe.
And Hemor comened with the sainge? the soule of my sonne Siche logeth for youre doughter geue her him to wyfe
9 Und verschwägert euch mit uns, gebt uns eure Töchter und nehmet euch unsre Töchter.
and make mariages with vs: geue youre doughters vnto vs ad take oure doughters vnto you
10 Und wohnet bei uns; und das Land soll vor eurem Angesichte sein, wohnet und handelt darin und habet Eigentum in demselben.
and dwell with vs and the lande shall be at youre pleasure dwell and do youre busynes and haue youre possessions there in.
11 Und Schechem sprach zu ihrem Vater und zu ihren Brüdern: Möchte ich Gnade finden in euren Augen und was ihr zu mir saget, will ich geben.
And Sichem sayde vnto hyr father and hir brethern: let me fynde grace in youre eyes and what soeuer ye apoynte me that will I geue.
12 Mehret mir sehr die Morgengabe und Gabe, und ich will geben, was ihr zu mir saget, nur gebet mir das Mädchen zum Weibe.
Axe frely of me both the dowry and gyftes and I will geue acordynge as ye saye vnto me and geue me the damsell to wyfe.
13 Und die Söhne Jakobs antworteten dem Schechem und Chamor, seinem Vater, trüglich, und redeten so, weil er Dinah, ihre Schwester, geschändet hatte;
Then the sonnes of Iacob answered to Sichem ad Hemor his father deceytefully because he had defyled Dina their syster.
14 Und sagten zu ihnen: Wir können das Wort nicht tun, daß wir unsre Schwester einem Manne geben, der Vorhaut hat; denn es wäre eine Schmach für uns.
And they sayde vnto them we can not do this thinge yt we shulde geue oure syster to one that is vncircumcysed for that were a shame vnto us.
15 Wir können nur einwilligen, wenn ihr werdet wie wir, daß ihr alles Männliche bei euch beschneidet.
Only in this will we consent vnto you? Yf ye will be as we be that all the men childern amonge you be circumcysed
16 Und dann geben wir euch unsere Töchter und nehmen uns eure Töchter, und werden dann bei euch wohnen und zu einem Volke werden.
tha will we geue oure doughter to you and take youres to vs and will dwell with you and be one people.
17 Wenn ihr aber nicht auf uns höret, euch zu beschneiden, dann nehmen wir unsre Tochter und gehen.
But and yf ye will not harken vnto vs to be circumcysed than will we take oure doughter and goo oure wayes.
18 Und ihre Worte waren gut in den Augen Chamors und in den Augen Schechems, des Sohnes Chamors.
And their wordes pleased Hemor and Sichem his sonne.
19 Und der Jüngling zögerte nicht nach diesem Worte zu tun; denn er hatte Lust an Jakobs Tochter, und war vor allen geehrt im Hause seines Vaters.
And the yonge man deferde not for to do the thinge because he had a lust to Iacobs doughter: he was also most sett by of all that were in his fathers house.
20 Und Chamor kam und Schechem, sein Sohn, zum Tore ihrer Stadt und redeten mit den Männern ihrer Stadt und sprachen:
Tha Hemor and Sichem went vnto the gate of their cyte and comened with the men of their cyte sayncte.
21 Diese Männer sind friedlich unter uns und wollen im Lande wohnen und darin handeln, und siehe, das Land ist weit zu beiden Seiten vor ihnen. Lasset uns ihre Töchter uns zu Weibern nehmen und unsere Töchter ihnen geben.
These men ar peasable with us and will dwell in the lade and do their occupatio therin And in the land is rowme ynough for the let us take their doughters to wyues and geue them oures:
22 Aber nur so wollen die Männer einwilligen bei uns zu wohnen und ein Volk zu werden, daß wir bei uns alles Männliche beschneiden, so wie sie beschnitten sind.
only herin will they consent vnto vs for to dwell with vs and to be one people: yf all the men childern that are amonge vs be circumcysed as they are.
23 Ihre Viehherden und ihr Angekauftes und all ihr Vieh, wird es nicht unser sein, wenn wir nur ihnen einwilligen, und sie werden bei uns wohnen?
Their goodes and their substance and all their catell are oures only let vs consente vnto them that they maye dwell with vs.
24 Und sie hörten auf Chamor und auf Schechem, seinen Sohn, alle, die von dem Tor seiner Stadt ausgingen, und ließen alles Männliche beschneiden, alles, das von dem Tor seiner Stadt ausging.
And vnto Hemor and Sichem his sonneharkened all that went out at the gate of his cyte. And all the men childern were circumcysed what soeuer went out at the gates of his cyte.
25 Und es geschah am dritten Tage, während sie in Schmerzen waren, nahmen zwei Söhne Jakobs, Simeon und Levi, Brüder Dinahs, jeder Mann sein Schwert und kamen kecklich in die Stadt und erwürgten alles Männliche.
And the third daye when it was paynefull to them ij. of the sonnes of Iacob Simeon and Leui Dinas brethren toke ether of them his swerde and went in to the cyte boldly and slewe all yt was male
26 Und den Chamor und Schechem, seinen Sohn, erwürgten sie mit der Schärfe des Schwertes und nahmen Dinah aus dem Hause Schechems und gingen hinaus.
and slewe also Hemor and Sichem his sonne with the edge of the swerde ad toke Dina their sister out of Sichems house and went their waye.
27 Die Söhne Jakobs kamen über die Erschlagenen und beraubten die Stadt dafür, daß sie ihre Schwester geschändet hatten.
Than came the sonnes of Iacob vpon the deede and spoyled the cyte because they had defyled their sister:
28 Ihr Kleinvieh und ihre Rinder und ihre Esel, und was in der Stadt war und was auf dem Felde war, nahmen sie.
and toke their shepe oxen asses and what so euer was in the cyte and also in ye feldes
29 Und all ihr Vermögen, und alle ihre Kindlein und ihre Weiber nahmen sie gefangen und raubten alles, was im Hause war.
And all their goodes all their childern and their wyues toke they captyue and made havock of all that was in the houses.
30 Und Jakob sprach zu Simeon und zu Levi: Ihr habt mich zerrüttet, daß ich stinke bei dem Einwohner des Landes, bei dem Kanaaniter und dem Pherisiter. Und ich habe nur wenig Leute. Und sie werden sich versammeln wider mich und mich schlagen, und ich und mein Haus werden vernichtet.
And Iacob sayde to Simeon and Leui: ye haue troubled me ad made me styncke vnto the inhabitatours of the lande both to the Canaanytes and also vnto the Pherezites. And I am fewe in nombre. Wherfore they shall gather them selves together agaynst me and sley me and so shall I and my house be dystroyed.
31 Sie aber sagten: Soll man unsrer Schwester tun wie einer Buhlerin?
And they answered: shuld they deall with oure sister as wyth an whoore?
