1 Mose 12
1 Und Jehovah sprach zu Abram: Gehe aus deinem Lande, und aus deinem Geburtsort und aus dem Hause deines Vaters nach dem Lande, das Ich dir zeigen werde.
And the Lord said to Abram, Go forth out of your land and out of your kindred, and out of the house of your father, and come into the land which I will show you.
2 Und Ich will dich zu einer großen Völkerschaft machen und dich segnen und groß machen deinen Namen, und du sollst zum Segen werden.
And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you and magnify your name, and you shall be blessed.
3 Und Ich will segnen, die dich segnen und verfluchen, wer dir flucht; und in dir sollen gesegnet werden alle Familien des Bodens!
And I will bless those that bless you, and curse those that curse you, and in you shall all the tribes of the earth be blessed.
4 Und Abram ging, wie Jehovah zu ihm geredet hatte, und Lot ging mit ihm, und Abram war fünfundsiebzig Jahre alt da er von Charan auszog.
And Abram went as the Lord spoke to him, and Lot departed with him, and Abram was seventy-five years old, when he went out of Charrhan.
5 Und Abram nahm Sarai sein Weib und Lot, seines Bruders Sohn, und all ihre Habe, die sie gewonnen und die Seelen, die sie sich in Charan verschafft, und sie zogen aus, um nach dem Lande Kanaan zu gehen, und kamen ins Land Kanaan.
And Abram took Sara his wife, and Lot the son of his brother, and all their possessions, as many as they had got, and every soul which they had got in Charrhan, and they went forth to go into the land of Chanaan.
6 Und Abram zog hin im Lande bis an den Ort Sichem, zum Eichenhain Moreh, und der Kanaaniter war damals in dem Lande.
And Abram traversed the land lengthwise as far as the place Sychem, to the high oak, and the Chananites then inhabited the land.
7 Und Jehovah erschien dem Abram und sprach: Deinem Samen will Ich geben dieses Land; und er baute da einen Altar dem Jehovah, Der ihm erschienen.
And the Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him, I will give this land to your seed. And Abram built an altar there to the Lord who appeared to him.
8 Und von da zog er weiter nach dem Berge im Osten von Bethel und schlug sein Zelt auf mit Bethel dem Meere zu und Haai im Osten und er baute dort dem Jehovah einen Altar, und rief den Namen Jehovahs an.
And he departed thence to the mountain eastward of Baethel, and there he pitched his tent in Baethel near the sea, and Aggai towards the east, and there he built an altar to the Lord, and called on the name of the Lord.
9 Und Abram brach auf und ging und zog aus nach Mittag.
And Abram departed and went and encamped in the wilderness.
10 Und es war eine Hungersnot im Land, und Abram ging hinab nach Ägypten um dort sich aufzuhalten; denn die Hungersnot war schwer in dem Lande.
And there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there, because the famine prevailed in the land.
11 Und es geschah, als er nahe war, nach Ägypten zu kommen, sprach er zu Sarai, seinem Weibe: Siehe ich weiß, daß du ein Weib, schön anzusehen, bist.
And it came to pass when Abram drew near to enter into Egypt, Abram said to Sara his wife, I know that you are a fair woman.
12 Und es wird geschehen, wenn dich die Ägypter sehen und sagen: das ist sein Weib! daß sie mich erwürgen und dich am Leben lassen.
It shall come to pass then that when the Egyptians shall see you, they shall say, This is his wife, and they shall kill me, but they shall save you alive.
13 Sage doch, du seiest meine Schwester; auf daß es mir gut gehe um deinetwillen, und meine Seele am Leben bleibe deinetwegen.
Say, therefore, I am his sister, that it may be well with me on account of you, and my soul shall live because of you.
14 Und es geschah, als Abram nach Ägypten kam, daß die Ägypter das Weib sahen, daß sie sehr schön war.
And it came to pass when Abram entered into Egypt—the Egyptians having seen his wife that she was very beautiful—
15 Und die Obersten Pharaos sahen sie und lobten sie dem Pharao; und das Weib wurde in das Haus des Pharao genommen.
that the princes of Pharao saw her, and praised her to Pharao and brought her into the house of Pharao.
16 Und er tat dem Abram Gutes um ihrethalben; und er hatte Kleinvieh und Rinder und Esel und Knechte und Dienstmägde und Eselinnen und Kamele.
And they treated Abram well on her account, and he had sheep, and calves, and asses, and menservants, and women-servants, and mules, and camels.
17 Und Jehovah plagte Pharao und sein Haus mit großen Plagen ob Sarai, des Weibes Abrams.
And God afflicted Pharao with great and severe afflictions, and his house, because of Sara, Abram's wife.
18 Und Pharao rief Abram und sprach: Was hast du mir das getan? Warum sagtest du mir nicht an, daß sie dein Weib ist?
And Pharao having called Abram, said, What is this you have done to me, that you did not tell me that she was your wife?
19 Warum sagtest du: sie ist meine Schwester, und ich hätte sie mir zum Weibe genommen? Und nun siehe, da ist dein Weib! Nimm sie und geh!
Therefore did you say, She is my sister? and I took her for a wife to myself; and now, behold, your wife is before you, take her and go quickly away.
20 Und Pharao gebot seinen Männern über ihn, und sie entsandten ihn und sein Weib mit allem, was er hatte.
And Pharao gave charge to men concerning Abram, to join in sending him forward, and his wife, and all that he had.
