Hesekiel 35
1 Und das Wort Jehovahs geschah an mich, sprechend:
Moveover the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
2 Menschensohn, richte dein Angesicht wider den Berg Seir und weissage dawider!
Sonne of man, Set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesie against it,
3 Und sprich zu ihm: So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Siehe, Ich bin wider dich, Berg Seir, und strecke Meine Hand aus wider dich und mache dich zur Verwüstung und Wüstenei.
And say vnto it, Thus sayth the Lord God, Behold, O mount Seir, I come against thee, and I wil stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee desolate and waste.
4 Zur Öde will Ich deine Städte machen, und zur Verwüstung sollst du werden, und du sollst wissen, daß Ich Jehovah bin.
I wil lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt knowe that I am the Lord.
5 Darum, daß du ewige Feindschaft hast und Israels Söhne in die Hände des Schwertes hingabst zur Zeit ihrer Not, zur Zeit des Endes der Missetat.
Because thou hast had a perpetuall hatred and hast put the children of Israel to flight by the force of the sword in the time of their calamitie, when their iniquitie had an ende,
6 Darum, bei Meinem Leben, spricht der Herr Jehovah, mache Ich dich zu Blut, und Blut soll dich verfolgen; da du Blut nicht haß-test, soll dich Blut verfolgen.
Therefore as I liue, sayth the Lord God, I wil prepare thee vnto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: except thou hate blood, euen blood shall pursue thee.
7 Darum mache Ich den Berg Seir zur Verwüstung und Wüstenei und rotte aus von ihm, der darüber hingeht und zurückkehrt.
Thus will I make mount Seir desolate and waste, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.
8 Und seine Berge fülle Ich mit seinen Erschlagenen; deine Hügel und deine Schluchten und all deine Flußbette - vom Schwert Erschlagene sollen allda fallen!
And I will fill his mountaines with his slayne men: in thine hilles, and in thy valleys and in all thy riuers shall they fall, that are slayne with the sworde.
9 Zur ewigen Verwüstung mache Ich dich, und deine Städte sollen nicht bewohnt werden, und ihr sollt wissen, daß Ich Jehovah bin.
I wil make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not returne, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.
10 Weil du gesprochen hast: Die zwei Völkerschaften und die zwei Länder sollen mein sein, und wir werden sie erblich besitzen; und Jehovah ist dort,
Because thou hast said, These two nations, and these two countreys shalbe mine, and we wil possesse them (seeing the Lord was there)
11 Darum, bei Meinem Leben, spricht der Herr Jehovah, so tue Ich nach deinem Zorn und nach deiner Eifersucht, wie du aus deinem Haß wider sie hast getan, und tue Mich kund an ihnen, wenn Ich dich richte,
Therefore as I liue, sayth the Lord God, I wil euen do according to thy wrath, and according to thine indignation which thou hast vsed in thine hatred against them: and I wil make my selfe knowen among them whe I haue iudged thee.
12 Und du sollst wissen, daß Ich, Jehovah, hörte all deine Lästerungen, die du wider die Berge Israels gesprochen hast, sprechend: Sie sind verwüstet, sind zur Speise uns gegeben.
And thou shalt know, that I the Lord haue heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountaines of Israel, saying, They lye waste, they are giuen vs to be deuoured.
13 Und ihr tatet groß wider Mich mit eurem Munde, und eure Worte wider Mich habt ihr gehäuft. Ich hörte es.
Thus with your mouthes ye haue boasted against me, and haue multiplied your words against me: I haue heard them.
14 So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Während fröhlich ist die ganze Erde, mache Ich zur Verwüstung dich.
Thus sayth the Lord God, So shall all the world reioyce when I shall make thee desolate.
15 Wie du fröhlich warst über das Erbe des Hauses Israel, daß es verwüstet ward, also werde Ich tun an dir. Zur Verwüstung sollst du werden, der Berg Seir und ganz Edom zumal, und sie sollen wissen, daß Ich Jehovah bin.
As thou diddest reioyce at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I doe vnto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea wholly, and they shall know, that I am the Lord.
