Hesekiel 28

1 Und es geschah Jehovahs Wort zu mir, sprechend:

The word of Jehovah came again to me, saying:

2 Menschensohn, sprich zum Führer Zors: So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Weil dein Herz hoffärtig ist geworden, und du sprichst: Ein Gott bin ich, auf dem Sitze Gottes sitze ich, im Herzen der Meere. Und du bist ein Mensch und kein Gott, und hast dein Herz wie Gottes Herz gemacht.

Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thy heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, “I am a god, I sit in the seat of a god, in the midst of the seas”; and though thou art man, not God, yet settest thy heart as the heart of a god, —

3 Siehe, weise bist du, mehr denn Daniel, und kein Geheimnis ist vor dir verdeckt.

behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret which can be hidden from thee;

4 Durch deine Weisheit und deine Einsicht hast du Vermögen dir gemacht, und hast Gold und Silber in deine Schatzkammern geschafft.

by thy wisdom and by thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver in thy treasures;

5 Durch deine viele Weisheit hast du in deinem Handel dein Vermögen gemehrt, und durch dein Vermögen ist hoch dein Herz geworden.

by thy great wisdom, by thy traffic, thou hast increased thy riches, and thy heart is lifted up because of thy wealth, —

6 Darum spricht so der Herr Jehovah: Weil du dein Herz wie Gottes Herz gemacht;

therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou settest thy heart as the heart of a god, therefore,

7 Darum, siehe, bringe Ich Fremde über dich, die Trotzigen der Völkerschaften. Die sollen ihre Schwerter ziehen wider die Schöne deiner Weisheit und deinen Strahlenglanz entweihen.

behold, I will bring upon thee strangers, the terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

8 Zur Grube bringen sie dich hinab, so daß du stirbst den Tod der Erschlagenen im Herzen der Meere.

They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the death of the slain, in the midst of the seas.

9 Wirst du Angesichts deiner Würger sprechen: Ich bin Gott, da du doch Mensch bist und kein Gott in der Hand derer, die dich erschlagen?

Wilt thou yet say, “I am a god,” before him that slayeth thee? Thou shalt be man, and not God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.

10 Den Tod der Unbeschnittenen wirst du sterben von der Hand der Fremden; denn Ich habe es geredet, spricht der Herr Jehovah.

Thou shalt die the death of the uncircumcised, by the hand of strangers; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

11 Und es geschah Jehovahs Wort zu mir, sprechend:

Moreover, the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:

12 Du, Menschensohn, erhebe ein Klagelied über den König Zors und sprich zu ihm: So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Besiegelnd das Ebenmaß, voller Weisheit warst du und vollkommen von Schönheit,

Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: —Thou wast a finished signet, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty;

13 In Eden, dem Garten Gottes, warst du, jeglicher kostbare Stein war deine Bedeckung, Rubin, Topas, Diamant, Tharschisch, Schoham und Jaspis, Saphir, Chrysopras und Smaragd und Gold, das Werk deiner Pauken und deiner Pfeifen war in dir; am Tage, da du geschaffen wardst, wurden sie bereitet.

In Eden, the garden of God, thou didst dwell; Every precious stone was thy covering, The ruby, the topaz, and the diamond, The chrysolite, the onyx, and the jasper, The sapphire, the carbuncle, and the emerald, and gold. The workmanship of thy jewel-holes was within thee; On the day when thou wast born were they prepared.

14 Du warst ein Cherub, die Ausdehnung des Deckenden, und Ich setzte dich, du warst auf dem Berg der Heiligkeit Gottes, inmitten der Steine des Feuers bist du gewandelt.

Thou wast an outspread, covering cherub; I set thee upon the holy mountain of God; Thou didst walk in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 Untadelig warst du in deinen Wegen vom Tage an, da du geschaffen wardst, bis Verkehrtheit in dir gefunden ward.

Thou wast prosperous in thy ways from the day that thou wast born Until iniquity was found in thee.

16 Durch deinen vielen Handel ist deine Mitte voll von Gewalttat geworden, und du sündigtest, und Ich entweihe dich, weg vom Berge Gottes, und zerstöre dich, deckender Cherub, aus der Mitte der Steine des Feuers.

Through the abundance of thy merchandise thou art full of injustice; And thou hast sinned; Therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God, And I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17 Ob deiner Schönheit ward dein Herz hoffärtig, hast verdorben deine Weisheit ob deinem Strahlenglanz. Zur Erde werfe Ich dich herab, gebe dich hin vor den Königen, daß sie auf dich sehen.

Thy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty; Thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy splendor; I will cast thee to the ground; I will give thee up to kings to be their gazing-stock.

18 Ob deiner vielen Missetaten, ob der Verkehrtheit deines Handels hast du entweiht deine Heiligtümer. Und Ich lasse Feuer aus deiner Mitte ausgehen, daß es dich auffresse, und mache dich zur Asche auf der Erde vor den Augen aller, die dich sehen.

By the multitude of thine iniquities, by the unrighteousness of thy traffic, Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries. Therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, which shall devour thee, And I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth, In the sight of all them that behold thee.

19 Alle, die dich kennen unter den Völkern, erstaunen ob dir; zu Schrecknissen bist du geworden und bist nicht mehr in Ewigkeit.

All they that know thee among the nations shall be astonished at thee; Thou art become a desolation, and shalt exist no more forever.

20 Und es geschah Jehovahs Wort an mich, sprechend:

Again the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:

21 Menschensohn, richte dein Angesicht wider Zidon und weissage wider dasselbe,

Son of man, set thy face against Sidon, and prophesy against her,

22 Und sprich: So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Siehe, Ich bin wider dich, Zidon, und will Mich in deiner Mitte verherrlichen, auf daß sie wissen, daß Ich Jehovah bin, wenn Ich Gerichte in ihm tue, und in ihm geheiligt werde.

and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Sidon, and I will be glorified in the midst of thee, and they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I execute judgments in her, and am sanctified in her.

23 Und Ich sende Pest darein, und Blut in seine Gassen, daß in seiner Mitte falle der Erschlagene durch das Schwert, das wider dasselbe ist von ringsumher, damit sie wissen, daß Ich Jehovah bin.

I will send upon her pestilence, and blood into her streets, and the wounded shall fall in the midst of her by the sword which is against her on every side; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

24 Und soll nicht mehr für das Haus Israel ein stechender Stachel sein und ein schmerzender Dorn von allen ihren Umgebungen, die sie verhöhnen, und sie sollen wissen, daß Ich der Herr Jehovah bin.

And there shall be no more to the house of Israel a pricking brier, or a grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

25 So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Wenn Ich das Haus Israel zusammenbringe aus den Völkern, unter die sie zerstreut worden, und Mich heilige in ihnen vor den Augen der Völkerschaften, dann sollen sie auf ihrem Boden wohnen, den Ich Meinem Knecht, dem Jakob, gegeben hatte.

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When I shall gather the house of Israel from the nations among which they are scattered, then shall I be sanctified through them in the sight of the nations, and they shall dwell in the land which I gave to my servant Jacob.

26 Und sie sollen sicher darauf wohnen und Häuser bauen und Weinberge pflanzen, und sicher sollen sie wohnen, wenn Ich Gerichte halte über alle die, so sie verhöhnen ringsumher, und sie sollen wissen, daß Ich, Jehovah, bin ihr Gott.

They shall dwell therein securely, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards, yea, they shall dwell securely when I have executed judgments on all that despised them round about; and they shall know that I am Jehovah, their God.
