Hesekiel 21
1 Und es geschah Jehovahs Wort zu mir, sprechend:
The word of ye Lord came to me againe, saying,
2 Menschensohn, richte dein Angesicht gen Jerusalem und laß träufeln gegen die Heiligtümer und weissage wider den Boden Israels.
Sonne of man, set thy face toward Ierusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophecie against the land of Israel.
3 Und sprich zum Boden Israels: So spricht Jehovah: Siehe, Ich bin wider dich und ziehe Mein Schwert heraus aus seiner Scheide und rotte aus von dir den Gerechten und den Ungerechten.
And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I come against thee, and will drawe my sword out of his sheath, and cut off from thee both the righteous and the wicked.
4 Weil Ich von dir ausrotte den Gerechten und den Ungerechten, darum geht heraus Mein Schwert aus seiner Scheide über alles Fleisch von Mittag bis gen Mitternacht.
Seeing then that I will cut off from thee both the righteous and wicked, therefore shall my sworde goe out of his sheath against all flesh from the South to the North,
5 Und alles Fleisch soll wissen, daß Ich, Jehovah, Mein Schwert aus seiner Scheide zog, es kehrt nimmer zurück.
That all flesh may knowe that I the Lord haue drawen my sworde out of his sheath, and it shall not returne any more.
6 Und du, Menschensohn, seufze, daß die Lenden dir brechen, und seufze bitterlich vor ihren Augen.
Mourne therefore, thou sonne of man, as in the paine of thy reines, and mourne bitterly before them.
7 Und es wird geschehen, daß sie zu dir sprechen: Warum seufzest du? Und du sollst sprechen: Ob dem Gerücht, das da kommt. Ein jeglich Herz wird zerschmelzen und alle Hände erschlaffen, aller Geist wird getrübt, und alle Knie gehen im Wasser. Siehe, es kommt und es geschieht, spricht der Herr Jehovah.
And if they say vnto thee, Wherefore mournest thou? then answere, Because of the bruite: for it commeth, and euery heart shall melt, and all handes shall be weake, and all mindes shall faint, and all knees shall fall away as water: beholde, it commeth, and shall be done, saith the Lord God.
8 Und es geschah zu mir das Wort Jehovahs, sprechend:
Againe, the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
9 Menschensohn, weissage und sprich: So spricht Jehovah: Sprich: Das Schwert, das Schwert! Geschärft und auch blank gemacht ist es.
Sonne of man, prophecie, and say, Thus saith the Lord God, say, A sworde, a sworde both sharpe, and fourbished.
10 Zu schlachten eine Schlachtung, ist es geschärft; auf daß es werde zum Blitz, ist es blank gemacht. Oder sollen wir uns freuen? Die Rute meines Sohnes verschmäht jeglich Holz.
It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter, and it is fourbished that it may glitter: how shall we reioyce? for it contemneth the rod of my sonne, as all other trees.
11 Und er gab es zum Blankmachen, um es mit der Hand zu fassen. Es ist geschärft, das Schwert, und ist blank gemacht, um es zu geben in die Hand des Würgers.
And he hath giuen it to be fourbished, that he may handle it: this sword is sharpe, and is fourbished, that he may giue it into ye hand of the slayer.
12 Schreie und heule, Menschensohn; denn es ist wider Mein Volk, es ist wider all die Fürsten Israels. Dem Schwert verfallen sind sie samt Meinem Volk, darum schlage an deine Hüfte.
Cry, and houle, sonne of man: for this shall come to my people, and it shall come vnto all the princes of Israel: the terrours of the sword shall be vpon my people: smite therefore vpon thy thigh.
13 Denn es ist eine Prüfung. Und wozu? wenn auch die verschmähte Rute nicht mehr ist! spricht der Herr Jehovah.
For it is a triall, and what shall this be, if the sworde contemne euen the rodde? It shall be no more, saith the Lord God.
14 Du aber, Menschensohn, weissage und schlage Hand auf Hand. Zum drittenmal wiederhole sich das Schwert, das Schwert der Erschlagenen, es ist das Schwert der großen Erschlagung für sie in den Kammern.
Thou therefore, sonne of man, prophecie, and smite hand to hand, and let the sworde be doubled: let the sworde that hath killed, returne the third time: it is the sword of the great slaughter entring into their priuie chambers.
15 Auf daß das Herz zerfließe, und das Straucheln sich mehre, und Ich richte die Spitze des Schwertes wider alle ihre Tore, nur gemacht zum Blitze, zum Schlachten gewetzt.
I haue brought the feare of the sword into all their gates to make their heart to faint, and to multiplie their ruines. Ah it is made bright, and it is dressed for the slaughter.
16 Einige dich, wende dich rechts, richte dich, wende dich links, wohin du dein Angesicht kehren magst.
Get thee alone: goe to the right hande, or get thy selfe to the left hande, whithersoeuer thy face turneth.
17 Und auch Ich werde Hand auf Hand schlagen und zur Ruhe bringen Meinen Grimm. Ich, Jehovah, habe geredet.
I wil also smite mine hands together, and wil cause my wrath to cease. I the Lord haue said it.
18 Und es geschah Jehovahs Wort zu mir. Er sprach:
The worde of the Lord came vnto mee againe, saying,
19 Und du, Menschensohn, setze dir zwei Wege, auf denen das Schwert des Königs von Babel kommen soll. Aus einem Land sollen beide ausgehen; und schaffe einen Wegweiser. Am Anfang des Weges nach der Stadt sollst du ihn schaffen.
Also thou sonne of man, appoint thee two wayes, that the sworde of the King of Babel may come: both twaine shall come out of one lande, and chuse a place, and chuse it in the corner of the way of the citie.
20 Den Weg sollst du setzen, daß das Schwert komme gen Rabbath der Söhne Ammons, und gen Jehudah in das befestigte Jerusalem.
Appoint a way, that the sworde may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Iudah in Ierusalem the strong citie.
21 Denn Babels König steht an der Wegscheide still, am Anfang der zwei Wege, um sich wahrsagen zu lassen, er schüttelt die Pfeile, er fragt die Theraphim, besieht die Leber.
And the King of Babel stoode at the parting of the way, at the head of the two wayes, consulting by diuination, and made his arrowes bright: hee consulted with idoles, and looked in the liuer.
22 Zu seiner Rechten ist die Wahrsagung Jerusalem, die Sturmböcke zu setzen, ein Loch zu öffnen, durch Zerstoßung die Stimme zu erhöhen im Feldgeschrei, die Sturmböcke zu setzen wider die Tore, aufzuschütten einen Wall, Bollwerk zu bauen.
At his right hand was the diuination for Ierusalem to appoint captaines, to open their mouth in the slaughter, and to lift vp their voyce with shouting, to laye engines of warre against the gates, to cast a mount, and to builde a fortresse.
23 Doch wie eitel Wahrsagerei ist es in ihren Augen, mit Schwüren ihnen beschworen. Und er läßt sie gedenken der Missetat, sie zu erfassen.
And it shalbe vnto them as a false diuination in their sight for the othes made vnto them: but hee will call to remembrance their iniquitie, to the intent they should be taken.
24 Darum spricht also der Herr Jehovah: Weil er euch gedenken ließ an eure Missetat durch Aufdeckung eurer Übertretungen, euch eure Sünden sehen ließ in allen euren Handlungen, darum, daß er euch derselben gedenken ließ, sollt ihr mit der Hand erfaßt werden.
Therefore thus sayeth the Lord God, Because ye haue made your iniquitie to bee remembred, in discouering your rebellion, that in al your workes your sinnes might appeare: because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.
25 Und du, Erschlagener, ungerechter Fürst Israels, dessen Tag kommt, zur Zeit der Missetat des Endes.
And thou prince of Israel polluted, and wicked, whose day is come, when iniquitie shall haue an ende,
26 So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Nimm weg die Tiare, erhöhet die Krone! Das sei nicht so! Das Niedrige soll erhöht und das Hohe erniedrigt werden.
Thus saith the Lord God, I will take away the diademe, and take off the crowne: this shalbe no more the same: I wil exalt the humble, and will abase him that is hie.
27 Verdreht, verdreht, verdreht setze Ich sie; auch das soll nicht so sein, bis der kommt, der das Gericht hat, und dem Ich es gebe.
I wil ouerturne, ouerturne, ouerturne it, and it shall be no more vntill he come, whose right it is, and I will giue it him.
28 Du aber, Menschensohn, weissage und sprich: So spricht der Herr Jehovah über die Söhne Ammons und über ihre Schmähung, und sprich: Schwert, Schwert, gezückt zum Schlachten, blank gemacht zum Verzehren, daß es zum Blitz sei.
And thou, sonne of man, prophecie, and say, Thus saith the Lord God to the children of Ammon, and to their blasphemie: say thou, I say, The sword, the sword is drawen foorth, and fourbished to the slaughter, to consume, because of the glittering:
29 Als du dir Eitles schauen und dir Falsches wahrsagen ließest, um dich zu legen über die Hälse der Erschlagenen, der Ungerechten, deren Tag kommt zur Zeit der Missetat des Endes;
Whiles they see vanitie vnto thee, and prophecied a lie vnto thee to bring thee vpon the neckes of the wicked that are slaine, whose day is come when their iniquitie shall haue an ende.
30 Laß zurück es kehren in seine Scheide; am Ort, da du erschaffen wardst, im Lande deines Handels richte Ich dich,
Shall I cause it to returne into his sheath? I will iudge thee in the place where thou wast created, euen in the land of thine habitation.
31 Und schütte Meinen Unwillen aus über dich, mit dem Feuer Meines Wütens hauche Ich dich an und gebe dich in die Hand brennender Männer, der Werkleute des Verderbens.
And I wil powre out mine indignation vpon thee, and will blowe against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliuer thee into the hand of beastly men, and skilfull to destroy.
32 Dem Feuer sollst du zur Speise werden. Dein Blut soll sein in des Landes Mitte. Nicht soll man deiner mehr gedenken; denn Ich, Jehovah, habe es geredet.
Thou shalt bee in the fire to be deuoured: thy blood shall be in the middes of the lande, and thou shalt be no more remembred: for I the Lord haue spoken it.
