2 Mose 22
1 Wenn ein Mann einen Ochsen oder eines vom Kleinvieh gestohlen und es geschlachtet oder verkauft hat, so soll er fünf Rinder für den Ochsen, und vier vom Kleinvieh für eines vom Kleinvieh erstatten.
If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it, he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
2 Wenn ein Dieb über dem Einbruch erfunden und geschlagen wird, daß er stirbt, so ist es keine Blutschuld.
If the thief is found breaking in, and be smitten so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguiltiness for him.
3 Ist aber die Sonne über ihm aufgegangen, so ist es ihm Blutschuld. Er soll erstatten. Hat er nichts, so soll er für seinen Diebstahl verkauft werden.
If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be bloodguiltiness for him. A thief shall make restitution. If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
4 Wird das Gestohlene in seiner Hand gefunden, sei es Ochse oder Esel oder Lamm, lebendig, so soll er das Doppelte erstatten.
If the theft is found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or donkey, or sheep, he shall pay double.
5 So ein Mann ein Feld oder einen Weinberg abweidet und sein Vieh hineinläßt, daß es das Feld eines anderen abweide, so soll er es mit dem Besten seines Feldes und dem Besten seines Weinbergs erstatten.
If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall let his beast loose, and it feeds in another man's field, he shall make restitution of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard.
6 So ein Feuer ausgeht und Dornen ergreift, so daß ein Garbenhaufe oder die stehende Saat oder das Feld verzehrt wird, so hat, der den Brand angesteckt, es zu erstatten.
If fire breaks out, and catches in thorns, so that the shocks of grain, or the standing grain, or the field are consumed, he who kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
7 Wenn ein Mann seinem Genossen Silber oder Gerät zur Verwahrung gibt, und es wird gestohlen aus dem Hause des Mannes, so soll der Dieb, wenn man ihn findet, das Doppelte erstatten.
If a man shall deliver to his neighbor money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house, if the thief be found, he shall pay double.
8 Wenn der Dieb nicht gefunden wird, so lasse man den Hausmeister vor Gott nahen, ob er nicht seine Hand nach seines Genossen Habe ausgestreckt.
If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall come near to God, to see whether he has not put his hand to his neighbor's goods.
9 Über jeder Sache der Übertretung, sei es ein Ochse, ein Esel, ein Schaf, ein Kleid, alles Verlorene, wovon man sagt, daß es dies sei, so soll beider Sache vor Gott gebracht werden. Wen Gott für ungerecht erklärt, der soll dem Genossen das Doppelte erstatten.
For every matter of trespass, whether it be for ox, for donkey, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, of which a man says, This is it, the case of both parties shall come before God. He whom God shall condemn shall pay double to his neighbor.
10 Wenn ein Mann seinem Genossen einen Esel oder einen Ochsen, oder ein Schaf oder irgendein Stück Vieh in Verwahrung gibt, und es stirbt oder wird beschädigt oder gefangen weggetrieben, ohne daß es jemand sieht;
If a man delivers to his neighbor a donkey, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep, and it dies, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it,
11 So soll ein Schwur vor Jehovah, zwischen beiden sein, ob er nicht seine Hand nach seines Genossen Habe ausgestreckt und sein Herr nehme es an, und er hat es nicht zu erstatten.
the oath of Jehovah shall be between them both, whether he has not put his hand to his neighbor's goods. And the owner of it shall accept it, and he shall not make restitution.
12 Ist es ihm aber gestohlen worden, so soll er es seinem Herrn erstatten.
But if it is stolen from him, he shall make restitution to the owner of it.
13 Ist es zerfleischt worden, so bringe er es zum Zeugnis. Das Zerfleischte hat er nicht zu erstatten.
If it is torn in pieces, let him bring it for evidence. He shall not make good that which was torn.
14 Und wenn ein Mann von seinem Genossen etwas entlehnt hat, und es wird beschädigt oder stirbt, ohne daß sein Herr dabei ist, so soll er es erstatten.
And if a man borrows anything of his neighbor, and it be hurt, or die, the owner of it not being with it, he shall surely make restitution.
15 Wenn sein Herr dabei ist, so soll er es nicht erstatten. Ist es gemietet, so geht es in die Miete.
If the owner of it is with it, he shall not make it good. If it be a hired thing, it came for its hire.
16 Und wenn ein Mann eine Jungfrau beredet, die noch nicht verlobt ist, und liegt bei ihr, so soll er sie sich durch Morgengabe zum Weib erwerben.
And if a man entices a virgin who is not betrothed, and lies with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife.
17 Weigert sich aber ihr Vater, sie ihm zu geben, so soll er Silber darwägen, je nach der Morgengabe der Jungfrauen.
If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
18 Eine Zauberin sollst du nicht am Leben lassen.
Thou shall not allow a sorceress to live.
19 Jeder, der bei dem Vieh liegt, der soll des Todes sterben.
Whoever lies with a beast shall surely be put to death.
20 Wer den Göttern opfert außer dem Jehovah allein, der sei verbannt.
He who sacrifices to any god, except to Jehovah only, shall be utterly destroyed.
21 Und den Fremdling sollst du nicht drängen, noch unterdrücken; denn ihr waret Fremdlinge im Land Ägypten.
And thou shall not wrong a sojourner, neither shall thou oppress him, for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.
22 Keine Witwe oder Waise sollt ihr niederdrücken.
Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.
23 Wenn du sie niederdrückst, und er schreit zu Mir, so werde Ich sein Schreien hören.
If thou afflict them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry,
24 Und Mein Zorn wird entbrennen und Ich werde euch mit dem Schwerte erwürgen, und eure Weiber sollen Witwen und eure Söhne Waisen werden.
and my wrath shall grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall be widows, and your sons fatherless.
25 Wenn du Meinem Volk, das elend ist bei dir, Silber leihst, so sollst du ihm nicht wie Wucherer sein, ihr sollt ihm keinen Zins auferlegen.
If thou lend money to any of my people with thee who is poor, thou shall not be to him as a creditor, neither shall ye lay upon him interest.
26 Wenn du von deinem Genossen das Gewand zum Pfande nimmst, sollst du es ihm, wenn die Sonne untergeht, zurückgeben.
If thou at all take thy neighbor's garment to pledge, thou shall restore it to him before the sun goes down,
27 Denn seine einzige Decke ist es für seine Haut ist sein Gewand, darin er sich legt. Und wird sein, wenn er zu Mir schreit, so werde Ich ihn hören; denn Ich bin gnädig.
for that is his only covering. It is his garment for his skin. How shall he sleep? And it shall come to pass, when he cries to me, that I will hear, for I am gracious.
28 Gott sollst du nicht fluchen, noch einen Fürsten in deinem Volk verfluchen.
Thou shall not revile God, nor speak ill of a ruler of thy people.
29 Mit den Erstlingen deines Getreides und deines Weines sollst du nicht zögern. Den Erstgeborenen deiner Söhne sollst du Mir geben.
Thou shall not delay to offer from thy harvest, and from the outflow of thy presses. The firstborn of thy sons thou shall give to me.
30 Also sollst du tun mit deinem Ochsen und deinem Kleinvieh. Sieben Tage soll es bei seiner Mutter sein, am achten Tage sollst du es Mir geben.
Likewise thou shall do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep. Seven days it shall be with its dam. On the eighth day thou shall give it me.
31 Und Männer der Heiligkeit sollt ihr Mir sein; und Fleisch dessen, das auf dem Feld zerfleischt worden, sollt ihr nicht essen, den Hunden werfet es hin.
And ye shall be holy men to me. Therefore ye shall not eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field. Ye shall cast it to the dogs.
