5 Mose 6

1 Und dies ist das Gebot, die Satzungen und die Rechte, so Jehovah, euer Gott, geboten hat euch zu lehren, auf daß ihr sie tut in dem Lande, in das ihr hinüberziehet, um es einzunehmen.

These now are the commandements, ordinances, and lawes, which the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that ye might doe them in the land whither ye go to possesse it:

2 Damit du fürchtest Jehovah, deinen Gott, und haltest alle Seine Satzungen und Seine Gebote, die ich dir gebiete, du und dein Sohn und deines Sohnes Sohn, alle Tage deines Lebens, und auf daß deine Tage verlängert werden.

That thou mightest feare the Lord thy God, and keepe all his ordinances, and his commandements which I commaund thee, thou, and thy sonne, and thy sonnes sonne all the dayes of thy life, euen that thy dayes may be prolonged.

3 Und höre, Israel, und hüte dich, daß du es tust, auf daß es dir gut gehe und ihr euch sehr mehret, wie Jehovah, der Gott deiner Väter, zu dir geredet hat, in dem Lande, das von Milch und Honig fließt.

Heare therefore, O Israel, and take heede to doe it, that it may go well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily in the land that floweth with milke and hony, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee.

4 Höre, Israel, Jehovah, unser Gott, ist ein Jehovah.

Heare, O Israel, The Lord our God is Lord onely,

5 Und du sollst lieben Jehovah, deinen Gott, von deinem ganzen Herzen und von deiner ganzen Seele und mit deiner ganzen Kraft.

And thou shalt loue the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soule, and with all thy might.

6 Und diese Worte, die ich dir heute gebiete, seien in deinem Herzen.

And these wordes which I commaund thee this day, shalbe in thine heart.

7 Und sollst sie deinen Söhnen einschärfen, und sollst davon reden wenn du sitzest in deinem Hause oder auf dem Wege gehst, und wenn du dich niederlegst und wenn du aufsteht;

And thou shalt rehearse them continually vnto thy children, and shalt talke of them when thou tariest in thine house, and as thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest downe, and when thou risest vp:

8 Und sollst sie als Zeichen auf deine Hand binden und sie seien als Stirnband zwischen deinen Augen.

And thou shalt binde them for a signe vpon thine hand, and they shalbe as frontlets betweene thine eyes.

9 Und sollst sie auf die Türpfosten deines Hauses und an deine Tore schreiben.

Also thou shalt write them vpon ye postes of thine house, and vpon thy gates.

10 Und es soll geschehen, wenn dich Jehovah, dein Gott, in das Land hineingebracht, daß Er deinen Vätern, dem Abraham, dem Isaak und dem Jakob geschworen hat, dir zu geben, große und gute Städte, die du nicht bautest.

And when the Lord thy God hath brought thee into the land, which he sware vnto thy fathers, Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob, to giue to thee, with great and goodly cities which thou buildedst not,

11 Und Häuser, alles Guten voll, die du nicht gefüllt, und ausgehauene Brunnen, die du nicht ausgehauen, Weinberge und Ölgärten, die du nicht gepflanzt hast, und davon issest und satt wirst;

And houses full of all maner of goods which thou filledst not, and welles digged which thou diggedst not, vineyards and oliue trees which thou plantedst not, and when thou hast eaten and art full,

12 So hüte dich, daß du Jehovahs nicht vergessest, Der dich aus Ägyptenland, aus dem Hause der Knechte, ausgeführt hat.

Beware least thou forget the Lord, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

13 Jehovah, deinen Gott, sollst du fürchten und Ihm dienen und bei Seinem Namen schwören.

Thou shalt feare the Lord thy God, and serue him, and shalt sweare by his Name.

14 Ihr sollt nicht anderen Göttern nachgehen, von den Göttern der Völker, die rings um euch sind.

Ye shall not walke after other gods, after any of the gods of the people which are round about you,

15 Denn ein eifernder Gott ist Jehovah, dein Gott, in deiner Mitte, auf daß nicht der Zorn Jehovahs, deines Gottes, entbrenne wider dich, und Er dich von den Angesichten des Bodens vernichte.

(For the Lord thy God is a ielous God among you: ) least the wrath of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from the face of the earth.

16 Ihr sollt Jehovah, euren Gott, nicht versuchen, wie ihr Ihn in Massah versucht habt.

Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye did tempt him in Massah:

17 Ihr sollt halten die Gebote Jehovahs, eures Gottes, und Seine Zeugnisse und Seine Satzungen, die Er dir geboten hat;

But ye shall keepe diligently the commandements of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his ordinances which he hath commanded thee,

18 Und sollst tun, was recht und gut ist in den Augen Jehovahs, auf daß es dir gut gehe und du hineinkommst und das gute Land einnehmest, das Jehovah deinen Vätern geschworen hat;

And thou shalt doe that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that thou mayest prosper, and that thou mayest go in, and possesse that good land which the Lord sware vnto thy fathers,

19 Auf daß Er vertreibe alle deine Feinde vor dir, wie Jehovah geredet hat.

To cast out all thine enemies before thee, as the Lord hath sayd.

20 Wenn dich dein Sohn morgen fragen wird und sagen: Was sollen diese Zeugnisse und die Satzungen und die Rechte, die Jehovah, unser Gott, euch geboten hat?

When thy sonne shall aske thee in time to come, saying, What meane these testimonies, and ordinances, and Lawes, which the Lord our God hath commanded you?

21 So sollst du deinem Sohne sagen: Wir waren Knechte dem Pharao in Ägypten; und Jehovah hat uns mit starker Hand aus Ägypten ausgeführt.

Then shalt thou say vnto thy sonne, We were Pharaohs bondmen in Egypt: but the Lord brought vs out of Egypt with a mightie hand.

22 Und Jehovah tat große und schlimme Zeichen und Wahrzeichen an Ägypten, an Pharao und an seinem ganzen Haus vor unseren Augen.

And the Lord shewed signes and wonders great and euill vpon Egypt, vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his housholde, before our eyes,

23 Und führte uns aus von da, auf daß Er uns heranbrächte und gäbe uns das Land, das Er unseren Vätern geschworen hatte.

And brought vs out from thence, to bring vs in, and to giue vs the land which he sware vnto our fathers.

24 Und Jehovah hat uns geboten, all diese Satzungen zu tun, Jehovah, unseren Gott, zu fürchten, auf daß es uns gut gehe alle Tage, daß Er uns am Leben erhalte, wie es heutigentags ist.

Therefore the Lord hath commanded vs, to doe all these ordinances, and to feare the Lord our God, that it may goe euer well with vs, and that he may preserue vs aliue as at this present.

25 Und es wird für uns Gerechtigkeit sein, wenn wir daran halten, daß wir all dies Gebot tun vor Jehovah, unserem Gott, wie Er uns geboten hat.

Moreouer, this shall be our righteousnes before the Lord our God, if we take heede to keepe all these commandements, as he hath commanded vs.
