5 Mose 23

1 Kein Zermalmter oder an dem Gliede Verwachsener soll in die Versammlung Jehovahs kommen.

He that is wounded or mutilated in his secrets, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

2 Kein Bastard soll in die Versammlung Jehovahs kommen; auch das zehnte Geschlecht von ihm soll nicht in die Versammlung Jehovahs kommen.

A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

3 Kein Ammoniter und kein Moabiter soll in die Versammlung Jehovahs kommen; auch das zehnte Geschlecht von ihnen soll nicht in die Versammlung Jehovahs kommen in Ewigkeit.

An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:

4 Darum daß sie nicht mit Brot und mit Wasser vor euch kamen auf dem Wege, da ihr aus Ägypten auszogt und daß sie gegen dich Bileam, Beors Sohn, aus Pethor in Aram der beiden Flüsse gedungen, dir zu fluchen;

Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth from Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

5 Aber Jehovah, dein Gott, wollte nicht hören auf Bileam, und Jehovah, dein Gott, verwandelte für dich den Fluch zum Segen, weil Jehovah, dein Gott, dich liebte.

Nevertheless, the LORD thy God would not hearken to Balaam: but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing to thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

6 Du sollst nicht ihrem Frieden, noch ihrem Wohlergehen nachfragen all deine Tage ewiglich.

Thou shalt not seek their peace, nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.

7 Du sollst nicht den Edomiter für Greuel halten, denn er ist dein Bruder, nicht sollst du für Greuel halten den Ägypter, denn du bist ein Fremdling in seinem Lande gewesen.

Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite, for he [is] thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian, because thou wast a stranger in his land.

8 Söhne, die ihnen geboren werden, dürfen im dritten Geschlecht in die Versammlung Jehovahs hineinkommen.

The children that are begotten by them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.

9 Wenn du in das Lager ausziehst wider deine Feinde, so hüte dich vor jedem bösen Dinge.

When the host goeth forth against thy enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.

10 Wenn unter dir ein Mann nicht rein ist von einem Begegnis in der Nacht, so soll er hinaus zum Lager gehen und nicht in die Mitte des Lagers kommen.

If there shall be among you any man that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth to him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

11 Und es geschehe, wenn es sich wendet gegen Abend, bade er sich im Wasser; und mit der Sonne Untergang darf er inmitten des Lagers hineinkommen.

But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash [himself] with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp [again].

12 Du sollst einen Platz haben außerhalb des Lagers, daß du hinausgehst dort hinaus.

Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:

13 Und du sollst ein Schäuflein haben bei deinen Gerätschaften, und wenn du dich draußen hinsetzest, damit graben und dich zurückwenden, zu bedecken, was von dir gegangen ist.

And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon: and it shall be when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig with it, and shalt turn back, and cover that which cometh from thee:

14 Denn Jehovah, dein Gott, wandelt inmitten deines Lagers, dich zu erretten und deine Feinde vor dir hinzugeben. Und dein Lager soll heilig sein, auf daß Er keine Blöße bei dir sehe und Sich von dir zurückwende.

For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thy enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he may see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

15 Du sollst den Knecht nicht seinem Herrn überantworten, wenn er von seinem Herrn zu dir sich errettet hat.

Thou shalt not deliver to his master the servant who hath escaped from his master to thee:

16 Laß ihn bei dir wohnen in deiner Mitte, an dem Orte, den er sich in einem deiner Tore erwählt, wo es ihm gut dünkt, und sollst ihn nicht bedrücken.

He shall dwell with thee, [even] among you in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates where it pleaseth him best: thou shalt not oppress him.

17 Es soll kein Buhlmädchen sein unter den Töchtern Israels, noch ein Buhlknabe unter den Söhnen Israels.

There shall be no harlot of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

18 Du sollst nicht den Lohn einer Buhlerin oder den Preis eines Hundes für irgendein Gelübde in das Haus Jehovahs, deines Gottes, bringen, denn beides ist ein Greuel Jehovah, deinem Gott.

Thou shalt not bring the hire of a harlot, or the price of a dog into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these [are] abomination to the LORD thy God.

19 Du sollst nicht Zins nehmen von deinem Bruder, Zins an Silber, Zins an Speise, Zins von sonst etwas, das man verzinsen kann.

Thou shalt not lend upon interest to thy brother; interest of money, interest of victuals, interest of any thing that is lent upon interest:

20 Vom Ausländer magst du Zins nehmen, aber von deinem Bruder sollst du keinen Zins nehmen; auf daß Jehovah, dein Gott, dich segne in allem, wo du deine Hand ausreckst in dem Lande, in das du hineinkommen sollst, es einzunehmen.

To a stranger thou mayest lend upon interest; but to thy brother thou shalt not lend upon interest; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thy hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

21 Wenn du Jehovah, deinem Gott, ein Gelübde gelobst, so sollst du nicht zögern, es zu vollbringen; denn Jehovah, dein Gott, wird es fordern von dir, und es wird dir zu Sünde werden.

When thou shalt vow a vow to the LORD thy God, thou shalt not defer to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

22 Wenn du unterlässest zu geloben, so ist es dir keine Sünde.

But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.

23 Was von deinen Lippen ausgeht, das halte und tue, wie du Jehovah, deinem Gott, freiwillig gelobt hast, was du mit deinem Munde geredet hast.

That which is uttered by thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; [even] a free-will-offering, according as thou hast vowed to the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

24 Wenn du in deines Genossen Weinberg kommst, so magst du Weinbeeren essen nach deinem Begehr, bis du satt bist, aber du sollst keine in dein Gefäß tun.

When thou comest into thy neighbor's vineyard, then thou mayest satisfy thy appetite with grapes at thy own pleasure; but thou shalt not put [any] in thy vessel.

25 Wenn du in die stehende Saat deines Genossen kommst, so magst du mit deiner Hand Ähren abpflücken; aber die Sichel sollst du nicht über die stehende Saat deines Genossen schwingen.

When thou comest into the standing-corn of thy neighbor, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thy hand: but thou shalt not move a sickle to thy neighbor's standing-corn.
