5 Mose 21
1 Wenn ein Erschlagener, auf dem Felde gefallen, gefunden wird auf dem Boden, den dir Jehovah, dein Gott, gibt einzunehmen, und man nicht weiß, wer ihn erschlagen hat,
Whanne the careyn of a man slayn is foundun in the lond which thi Lord God schal yyue to thee, and `the gilti of sleyng is vnknowun,
2 So sollen deine Ältesten und deine Richter hinausgehen und messen nach den Städten hin, die rings um den Erschlagenen sind.
the grettere men in birthe and thi iugis schulen go out, and schulen mete fro the place of the careyn the spaces of alle citees `bi cumpas;
3 Und es soll geschehen, daß, welche Stadt dem Erschlagenen die nächste ist, derselben Stadt Älteste sollen eine Kalbe vom Rind nehmen, mit der noch nicht gearbeitet worden, die noch an keinem Joche gezogen hat,
and the eldre men of that citee, `which thei seen to be neer than othere, schulen take of the droue a cow calf, that `drow not yok, nether kittide the erthe with a schar;
4 Und die Ältesten dieser Stadt sollen die Kalbe hinabbringen an einen Bach, der nicht bebaut noch besät wird, und dort der Kalbe das Genick brechen in den Bach.
and thei schulen lede that cow calf to a scharp `valey, and ful of stoonys, that was neuere erid, nether resseyuede seed; and in that valey thei schulen kitte the heed of the cow calf.
5 Und es sollen hinzutreten die Priester, die Söhne Levis, denn sie hat erwählt Jehovah, dein Gott, Ihm Dienst zu tun und im Namen Jehovahs zu segnen, und nach ihrem Munde geschehe jeder Rechtshandel und Schlag.
And the preestis, the sones of Leuy, schulen neiye, whiche thi Lord God chees, that thei mynystre to hym, and blesse in his name, and al the cause hange at `the word of hem; and what euer thing is cleene ethir vncleene, be demed.
6 Und alle Ältesten derselben Stadt, die dem Erschlagenen am nächsten sind, sollen ihre Hände waschen über der Kalbe, der im Bach das Genick gebrochen worden.
And the grettere men in birthe of that citee schulen come to the slayn man, and thei schulen waische her hondis on the cow calf, that was slayn in the valei;
7 Und sollen antworten und sprechen: Unsere Hände haben dies Blut nicht vergossen und unsere Augen haben es nicht gesehen.
and thei schulen seie, Oure hondis schedden not out this blood, nether oure iyen sien.
8 Sühne dein Volk Israel, das Du eingelöst hast, o Jehovah, und bringe nicht unschuldig Blut inmitten deines Volkes Israel. So sollen sie von dem Blute gesühnt sein.
Lord, be mercyful to thi puple Israel, whom thou `ayen brouytist, and arette thou not innocent blood in the myddis of thi puple Israel. And the gilt of blood schal be don awey fro hem.
9 Und du sollst das unschuldige Blut aus deiner Mitte wegschaffen wenn du tust, was recht ist in den Augen Jehovahs.
Forsothe thou schalt be alien fro the blood of the innocent which is sched, whanne thou hast do that that the Lord comaundide.
10 So du ausgehst zum Streite wider deine Feinde, und Jehovah, dein Gott, ihn in deine Hand gibt, und du von ihm gefangen nimmst,
If thou goist out to batel ayens thin enemyes, that thi Lord God bitakith hem in thin hond, and thou ledist prisoneris,
11 Und siehst unter den Gefangenen ein Weib, schön von Gestalt, und hast Gefallen an ihr und nimmst sie dir zum Weibe,
and thou seest in the noumbre of prisounneris a fair womman, and thou louest hir, and wole haue hir to wijf,
12 So bringe sie hinein in deines Hauses Mitte; und laß sie ihr Haupt scheren und ihre Nägel zurechtmachen.
thou schalt brynge hir in to thin hows; `which womman schal schaue the heer, and schal kitte the nailes aboute, and sche schal putte awei the clooth,
13 Und sie lege ab von sich das Gewand ihrer Gefangenschaft und sitze in deinem Haus und beweine ihren Vater und ihre Mutter einen Monat der Tage. Und danach gehe ein zu ihr, werde ihr Gemahl und sie sei dir zum Weibe.
wher ynne sche was takun, and sche schal sitte in thin hows, and schal biwepe hir fadir and modir o monethe; and aftirward thou schalt entre to hir, and schalt sleepe with hir, and sche schal be thi wijf.
14 Und es geschehe, wenn du keine Lust an ihr hast, so entlasse sie nach ihrem Begehr, darfst sie aber nicht um Silber verkaufen, noch sie mißhandeln, weil du sie geschwächt hast.
But if aftirward sche sittith not in thi soule, `that is, plesith not thi wille, thou schalt delyuere hir fre, nethir thou schalt mowe sille hir for money, nether oppresse bi power, for thou `madist hir lowe.
15 So ein Mann zwei Weiber hat, die eine geliebt und die andere gehaßt, und sie ihm Söhne gebären, die Geliebte und die Gehaßte, und der erstgeborene Sohn der gehaßten gehört,
If a man hath twey wyues, oon loued, and `the tothir hateful, and he gendrith of hir fre children, and the sone of the hateful wijf is the firste gendrid,
16 So vermag er am Tage, da er seinen Söhnen das Erbe austeilt, das er hat, den Sohn der Geliebten nicht zum Erstgeborenen zu machen, vor dem Sohne der Gehaßten, des Erstgeborenen;
and the man wole departe the catel bitwixe hise sones, he schal not mowe make the sone of the loued wijf the firste gendrid, and sette bifor the sone of the hateful wijf,
17 Sondern muß den Erstgeborenen, den Sohn der Gehaßten anerkennen und ihm zwiefältig geben von allem, das sich bei ihm findet, denn er ist der Anfang seiner Vollkraft; er hat das Recht der Erstgeburt.
but he schal knowe the sone of the hateful wijf the firste gendrid, and he schal yyue to that sone alle thingis double of tho thingis that he hath; for this sone is the begynnyng of his fre children, and the firste gendrid thingis ben due to hym.
18 So ein Mann einen eigenwilligen und widerspenstigen Sohn hat, der nicht auf seines Vaters Stimme, noch auf seiner Mutter Stimme hört, und sie ihn züchtigen, er aber nicht auf sie hört,
If a man gendrith a sone rebel, and ouerthewert, which herith not the comaundement of fadir and modir, and he is chastisid,
19 So sollen ihn sein Vater und seine Mutter erfassen und ihn hinausführen zu den Ältesten seiner Stadt und zu dem Tor seines Ortes,
and dispisith to obei, thei schulen take hym, and schulen lede to the eldre men of that citee, and to the yate of doom;
20 Und sollen sprechen zu den Ältesten seiner Stadt: Unser Sohn da ist eigenwillig und widerspenstig, er hört nicht auf unsere Stimme, ist ein Schlemmer und ein Zecher;
and thei schulen seie to hem, This oure sone is ouerthewert and rebel; he dispisith to here oure monestyngis, `ethir heestis, he yyueth tent to glotonyes, and letcherie, and feestis.
21 Und sollen ihn steinigen mit Steinen alle Männer seiner Stadt, daß er stirbt, auf daß du wegschaffest das Böse aus deiner Mitte; und ganz Israel, sie sollen es hören und sich fürchten.
The puple of the citee schal oppresse hym with stoonus, and he schal die, that ye do awei yuel fro the myddis of you, and that al Israel here, and drede.
22 Und so in einem Manne eine Sünde ist, die todeswürdig ist, und er getötet wird und du ihn anhängst an das Holz;
Whanne a man doith a synne which is worthi to be punyschid bi deeth, and he is demed to deeth, and is hangid in a iebat,
23 So soll sein Leichnam nicht über Nacht an dem Holze bleiben; sondern du sollst ihn begraben an demselben Tag, denn ein Fluch Gottes ist ein Gehenkter. Und du sollst nicht verunreinigen deinen Boden, den dir Jehovah, dein Gott, zum Erbe gibt.
his careyn schal not dwelle in the tre, but it schal be biried in the same dai; for he that hangith in the cros is cursid of God, and thou schalt not defoule thi lond which thi Lord God yaf thee in to possessioun.
