5 Mose 15

1 Am Ende von sieben Jahren sollst du einen Erlaß machen.

At the end of every seven years thou shall make a release.

2 Und dies ist das Wort des Erlasses: Jeder Schuldherr soll seine Hand in demselben ablassen von dem Darlehen, das er seinem Genossen gemacht, er soll es nicht eintreiben von seinem Genossen und seinem Bruder; denn dem Jehovah hat man einen Erlaß ausgerufen.

And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor shall release that which he has lent to his neighbor. He shall not exact it from his neighbor and his brother, because Jehovah's release has been proclaimed.

3 Vom Auswärtigen magst du eintreiben, was du aber bei deinem Bruder hast, das soll deine Hand erlassen.

From a foreigner thou may exact it, but whatever of thine is with thy brother, thy hand shall release.

4 Es sei denn, daß unter dir kein Dürftiger ist; denn Jehovah wird dich segnen in dem Lande, das Jehovah, dein Gott, dir zum Erbe einzunehmen gibt;

However there shall be no poor with thee (for Jehovah will surely bless thee in the land which Jehovah thy God gives thee for an inheritance to possess it),

5 Nur wenn du auf die Stimme Jehovahs, deines Gottes, hörst, so daß du hältst und tust all dies Gebot, das ich dir heute gebiete.

if only thou diligently hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, to observe to do all this commandment which I command thee this day.

6 Denn Jehovah, dein Gott, hat dich gesegnet, wie Er zu dir geredet hat, so daß du vielen Völkerschaften borgen und nichts von ihnen borgen, und über viele Völkerschaften herrschen wirst, sie aber werden nicht herrschen über dich.

For Jehovah thy God will bless thee as he promised thee, and thou shall lend to many nations, but thou shall not borrow, and thou shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over thee.

7 Wenn unter dir ein Dürftiger ist, einer deiner Brüder in einem deiner Tore in deinem Land, das Jehovah, dein Gott, dir gibt, so sollst du dein Herz nicht verstocken und deine Hand nicht vor deinem dürftigen Bruder zudrücken.

If there be with thee a poor man, one of thy brothers, within any of thy gates in thy land which Jehovah thy God gives thee, thou shall not harden thy heart, nor shut thy hand from thy poor brother,

8 Vielmehr sollst du deine Hand ihm auftun, und ihm borgen je nach seinem Mangel, worin er mangelt.

but thou shall surely open thy hand to him, and shall surely lend him sufficient for his need which he wants.

9 Hüte dich, daß nicht in deinem Herzen das Wort Belials sei: das sagt: Das siebente Jahr nahet, das Jahr des Erlasses; und dein Auge deinem dürftigen Bruder böse sei, daß du es ihm nicht gebest und er über dich zu Jehovah rufe, so daß es dir zur Sünde werde.

Beware that there not be a base thought in thy heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand, and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou give him nothing, and he cry to Jehovah against thee, and it be sin to thee.

10 Geben sollst du es ihm, und dein Herz soll nicht erbosen, daß du es ihm gibst; denn wegen dieses Wortes wird Jehovah, dein Gott, dich segnen in all deinem Tun, und in allem, wonach du die Hand ausreckst.

Thou shall surely give him, and thy heart shall not be grieved when thou give to him, because for this thing Jehovah thy God will bless thee in all thy work, and in all that thou put thy hand to.

11 Denn Dürftige werden niemals aufhören von des Landes Mitte. Deshalb gebiete ich dir und spreche: Tue deine Hand auf deinem Bruder, dem Elenden und dem Dürftigen in deinem Land.

For the poor will never cease out of the land. Therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shall surely open thy hand to thy brother, to thy needy, and to thy poor, in thy land.

12 Wenn sich dein Bruder, ein Hebräer oder eine Hebräerin, an dich verkauft, so soll er sechs Jahre dir dienen, im siebenten Jahre aber sollst du ihn frei von dir entlassen.

If thy brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to thee, and serves thee six years, then in the seventh year thou shall let him go free from thee.

13 Und wenn du ihn frei entlässest von dir, so entlasse ihn nicht leer.

And when thou let him go free from thee, thou shall not let him go empty.

14 Du sollst ihm aufladen von deinem Kleinvieh und von deiner Tenne und von deiner Weinkufe, womit Jehovah, dein Gott, dich gesegnet hat, sollst du ihm geben.

Thou shall furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy threshing-floor, and out of thy winepress. As Jehovah thy God has blessed thee thou shall give to him.

15 Und gedenke, daß du ein Knecht warst in Ägyptenland, und Jehovah, dein Gott, dich eingelöst hat. Deshalb gebiete ich dir dies Wort heute.

And thou shall remember that thou were a bondman in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah thy God redeemed thee. Therefore I command thee this thing today.

16 So es aber geschieht, daß er zu dir spricht: Ich will nicht von dir ausgehen, weil Ich dich und dein Haus liebe, - weil es ihm gut geht bei dir;

And it shall be, if he says to thee, I will not go out from thee, because he loves thee and thy house, because he is well with thee,

17 So nimm eine Pfrieme und treibe sie durch sein Ohr und die Tür; und er soll dein Knecht sein ewiglich, und auch deiner Magd sollst du also tun.

then thou shall take an awl, and thrust it through his ear to the door, and he shall be thy servant forever. And also to thy maid-servant thou shall do likewise.

18 Und laß es dir nicht hart sein in deinen Augen, wenn du ihn frei entlässest von dir; denn das Doppelte von eines Lohnarbeiters Lohn hat er dir gedient sechs Jahre, und Jehovah, dein Gott, wird dich segnen in allem, was du tust.

It shall not seem hard to thee when thou let him go free from thee, for he has been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years. And Jehovah thy God will bless thee in all that thou do.

19 Alles Erstgeborene, das dir geboren wird von deinem Rindvieh oder von deinem Kleinvieh, sollst du, wenn es männlich ist, Jehovah, deinem Gotte, heiligen. Du sollst nicht arbeiten mit dem Erstgeborenen deines Ochsen, noch scheren das Erstgeborene deines Kleinviehs.

All the firstling males that are born of thy herd and of thy flock thou shall sanctify to Jehovah thy God. Thou shall do no work with the firstling of thy herd, nor shear the firstling of thy flock.

20 Vor Jehovah, deinem Gotte, sollst du es essen Jahr für Jahr an dem Orte, den Jehovah erwählen wird, du und dein Haus.

Thou shall eat it before Jehovah thy God year by year in the place which Jehovah shall choose, thou and thy household.

21 Und so daran ein Makel ist, so es lahm oder blind ist, irgendein böser Makel, sollst du es Jehovah, deinem Gotte, nicht opfern.

And if it has any blemish, as lame or blind, any ill blemish whatever, thou shall not sacrifice it to Jehovah thy God.

22 In deinen Toren magst du es essen, der Unreine und der Reine zugleich, wie das Reh und wie den Hirsch.

Thou shall eat it within thy gates. The unclean man and the clean man alike, as the gazelle, and as the hart.

23 Nur sein Blut sollst du nicht essen; auf die Erde sollst du es ausgießen, wie das Wasser.

Only thou shall not eat the blood of it. Thou shall pour it out upon the ground as water.
