2 Timotheus 1
1 Paulus, ein Apostel Jesu Christi durch den Willen Gottes, nach der Verheißung des Lebens in Christo Jesu, an seinen geliebten Sohn Timotheus.
PAULOS, an apostle of Jeshu Meshiha by the will of Aloha, and on account of the promise of life which is in Jeshu Meshiha,
2 Gnade, Barmherzigkeit, Friede von Gott dem Vater, und unserem Herrn Jesus Christus.
to Timotheos my beloved son: grace and mercies and peace from Aloha our Father, and from our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
3 Ich danke Gott, Dem ich diene mit reinem Gewissen, von meinen Voreltern her, daß ich ohne Unterlaß dein gedenke in meinen Gebeten Tag und Nacht,
I thank Aloha, whom I serve from my fathers with a pure conscience, that constantly I remember thee in my prayers of the night and of the day;
4 Weil ich mich sehne, dich zu sehen, eingedenk deiner Tränen, auf daß ich mit Freude erfüllt würde;
and have longed to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy:
5 Denn ich gedenke an deinen ungeheuchelten Glauben, der zuerst gewohnt hat in deiner Großmutter Lois und deiner Mutter Eunike; ich bin aber gewiß, daß er auch in dir wohnt;
in remembrance of thee (and) of thy true faith which dwelt first in the mother of thy mother Lois, and in thy mother Eunika, and which, I am persuaded, (is) in thee also.
6 Weshalb ich dich erinnere, daß du anfachst die Gabe Gottes, die durch Auflegung meiner Hände in dir ist.
On account of this I put thee in mind to keep awake the gift of Aloha, which is in thee by the laying on of my hands.
7 Denn Gott hat uns nicht gegeben den Geist der Furcht, sondern der Kraft und der Liebe und der Zucht.
For Aloha hath not given to us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of discipline.
8 So schäme dich nun nicht des Zeugnisses von unserem Herrn, noch auch meiner, der gefangen ist um Seinetwillen, sondern trage mit die Leiden für das Evangelium vermöge der Kraft Gottes,
Wherefore be not thou ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but sustain evil with the gospel, through the power of Aloha,
9 Der uns erlöst und berufen hat mit heiligem Ruf, nicht nach unseren Werken, sondern nach Seinem Ratschluß, und der uns in Christus Jesus vor ewigen Zeiten verliehenen Gnade, (aiōnios g166)
who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling; not according to our works, but according to his will, and that grace of his which was given to us in Jeshu Meshiha before the time of the worlds, (aiōnios g166)
10 Die aber jetzt geoffenbart ist durch die Erscheinung unseres Heilandes Jesus Christus, Der dem Tode die Macht genommen, und Leben und Unvergänglichkeit an das Licht gebracht hat durch das Evangelium,
and is now revealed by the revelation of our Saviour Jeshu Meshiha, who hath abolished death, and hath demonstrated life and incorruption, through the gospel,
11 Für welches ich bestellt bin als Herold, Apostel und Lehrer der Heiden.
of which I am appointed an herald and an apostle and a teacher of the nations:
12 Um welcher Ursache willen ich auch solches erleide, aber ich schäme mich dessen nicht; denn ich weiß, an Wen ich geglaubt habe, und bin gewiß, daß Er mächtig ist, das mir Anvertraute zu bewahren bis auf jenen Tag.
on account of which I suffer these, and am not ashamed. I know in whom I have believed, and am persuaded that there is power in his hands my deposite to keep for me unto that day.
13 Halte an dem Vorbild der Heilsworte, die du von mir gehört in Glaube und Liebe in Christus Jesus.
Let the outline of sound words be with thee, which thou hast heard from me, with the faith and love which are in Jeshu Meshiha:
14 Bewahre den kostbaren, dir anvertrauten Schatz durch den Heiligen Geist, der in uns wohnt.
that good deposite keep through the Spirit of Holiness who dwelleth in us.
15 Du weißt, daß sich von mir abgewendet haben alle in Asien, unter denen ist Phygellus und Hermogenes.
Know this, that all those of Asia are turned from me, of whom are Phygellos and Harmogenes.
16 Der Herr schenke Barmherzigkeit dem Hause des Onesiphorus! Denn er hat mich oft erquickt, und hat sich meiner Kette nicht geschämt.
Our Lord give mercies to the house of Onesiphoros, who many times hath refreshed me, and of the chains of my bonds hath not been ashamed.
17 Sondern da er in Rom war, suchte er mich auf das Fleißigste und fand mich.
But when also he came to Ruma, with diligence he sought me, and found me.
18 Der Herr lasse ihn an jenem Tage Barmherzigkeit finden vom Herrn; und wie große Dienste er in Ephesus geleistet hat, weißt du am besten.
Our Lord grant that he may find mercies with our Lord in that day: and how he ministered to me in Ephesos thou especially knowest.
