2 Samuel 6

1 Und David sammelte wieder alle Auserwählten in Israel, dreißigtausend.

And David again gathered all the young men of Israel, about seventy thousand.

2 Und David machte sich auf und ging, und alles Volk, das bei ihm war, von Baale-Judah, um von dannen die Lade Gottes heraufzubringen, über welcher der Name der Name des Jehovah der Heerscharen, der auf den Cheruben wohnt, angerufen wird.

And David arose, and went, he and all the people that were with him, and some of the rulers of Juda, on an expedition [to a distant place], to bring back thence the ark of God, on which the name of the Lord of Host who dwells between the cherubs upon it is called.

3 Und sie fuhren die Lade Gottes auf einem neuen Wagen und brachten sie aus dem Hause Abinadabs in Gibeah. Und Usah und Achjo, Abinadabs Söhne, trieben den neuen Wagen.

And they put the ark of the Lord on a new waggon, and took it out of the house of Aminadab who lived on the hill, and Oza and his brethren the sons of Aminadab drove the waggon with the ark.

4 Und sie brachten ihn aus dem Hause Abinadabs in Gibeah mit der Lade Gottes, und Achjo ging vor der Lade.

And his brethren went before the ark.

5 Und David und das ganze Haus Israel spielten vor Jehovah her auf allerlei Holzinstrumenten von Tannen und mit Harfen und mit Psaltern und mit Pauken und mit Schellen und mit Zimbeln.

And David and the children of Israel [were] playing before the Lord on well-tuned instruments mightily, and with songs, and with harps, and with lutes, and with drums, and with cymbals, and with pipes.

6 Und sie kamen zur Tenne Nachons. Und Usah reckte nach der Lade Gottes aus und ergriff sie; denn die Rinder traten beiseite.

And they come as far as the threshing floor of Nachor: and Oza reached forth his hand to the ark of God to keep it steady, and took hold of it; for the ox shook it out of its place.

7 Und der Zorn Jehovahs entbrannte über Usah, und Gott schlug ihn daselbst um seines Vergehens willen, daß er allda starb bei der Lade Gottes.

And the Lord was very angry with Oza; and God smote him there: and he died there by the ark of the Lord before God.

8 Und David entbrannte, daß Jehovah gegen Usah einen Durchbruch durchbrochen hatte, und man nannte den selbigen Ort Perez-Usah bis auf diesen Tag.

And David was dispirited because the Lord made a breach upon Oza; and that place was called the breach of Oza until this day.

9 Und David fürchtete jenes Tages Jehovah und sprach: Wie soll die Lade Jehovahs zu mir kommen?

And David feared the Lord in that day, saying, How shall the ark of the Lord come in to me?

10 Und David war nicht willens, daß die Lade Jehovahs zu ihm in die Stadt Davids einkehrte, und David ließ sie abseits nehmen in das Haus Obed-Edoms, des Gathiters.

And David would not bring in the ark of the covenant of the Lord to himself into the city of David: and David turned it aside into the house of Abeddara the Gethite.

11 Und die Lade Jehovahs blieb drei Monate im Hause des Gathiters Obed-Edom, und Jehovah segnete den Obed-Edom und sein ganzes Haus.

And the ark of the Lord lodged in the house of Abeddara the Gethite three months, and the Lord blessed all the house of Abeddara, and all his possessions.

12 Und es ward dem Könige David angesagt und man sprach: Jehovah hat das Haus des Obed-Edom und alles, was er hat, gesegnet um der Lade Gottes willen. Und David ging und brachte die Lade Gottes herauf aus dem Hause des Obed-Edom nach der Stadt David nach Fröhlichkeit.

And it was reported to king David, saying, The Lord has blessed the house of Abeddara, and all that he has, because of the ark of the Lord. And David went, and brought up the Ark of the Lord from the house of Abeddara to the city of David with gladness.

13 Und es geschah, als die Träger der Lade Jehovahs sechs Schritt geschritten, opferte man einen Ochsen und Mastvieh.

And there were with him bearing the ark seven bands, and for a sacrifice a calf and lambs.

14 Und David sprang mit ganzer Stärke vor Jehovah her, und David war umgürtet mit einem linnenen Ephod.

And David sounded with well-tuned instruments before the Lord, and David [was] clothed with a fine long robe.

15 Und David und das ganze Haus Israel brachten die Lade Jehovahs herauf unter Jubelrufen und dem Schall der Posaunen.

And David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of a trumpet.

16 Und es geschah, daß die Lade Jehovahs nach der Stadt Davids kam, und Michal, Sauls Tochter, schaute durch das Fenster und sah den König David hüpfen und springen vor Jehovah her, und verachtete ihn in ihrem Herzen.

And it came to pass as the ark arrived at the city of David, that Melchol the daughter of Saul looked through the window, and saw king David dancing and playing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.

17 Und sie brachten die Lade Jehovahs und stellten sie an ihren Ort inmitten des Zeltes, welches David für dieselbe aufgeschlagen hatte; und David opferte Brandopfer vor Jehovah und Dankopfer auf.

And they bring the ark of the Lord, and set it in its place in the midst of the tabernacle which David pitched for it: and David offered whole-burnt-offerings before the Lord, [and] peace-offerings.

18 Und als David das Aufopfern des Brandopfers und der Dankopfer vollendet, segnete er das Volk im Namen des Jehovah der Heerscharen.

And David made an end of offering the whole-burnt-offerings and peace-offerings, and blessed the people in the name of the Lord of Hosts.

19 Und er verteilte an alles Volk, an die ganze Menge Israel, vom Manne und bis zum Weibe, einem jeden Manne einen Kuchen Brot und ein Opferteil und einen Rosinenkuchen, und alles Volk ging, jeder Mann nach seinem Hause.

And he distributed to all the people, even to all the host of Israel from Dan to Bersabee, both men and women, to every one a cake of bread, and a joint of meat, and a cake from the frying-pan: and all the people departed every one to his home.

20 Und David kehrte zurück, um sein Haus zu segnen. Und Michal, Sauls Tochter kam heraus, David entgegen und sprach: Wie hat sich heute der König Israels verherrlicht, daß er sich heute vor den Augen der Mägde seiner Knechte entblößte, wie sich entblößt der losen Leute einer.

And David returned to bless his house. And Melchol the daughter of Saul came out to meet David and saluted him, and said, How was the king of Israel glorified to-day, who was to-day uncovered in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the dancers wantonly uncovers himself!

21 Und David sprach zu Michal: Vor Jehovah, Der mich vor deinem Vater und vor all seinem Hause erwählt, mich zum Führer zu entbieten über das Volk Jehovahs, über Israel, vor Jehovah habe ich gespielt.

And David said to Melchol, I will dance before the Lord. Blessed [be] the Lord who chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to make me head over his people, even over Israel: therefore I will play, and dance before the Lord.

22 Und ich werde noch geringer werden, als dies, und will mich erniedrigen in meinen Augen und vor den Mägden, von denen du sprichst; vor ihnen will ich mich verherrlichen.

And I will again uncover myself thus, and I will be vile in thine eyes, and with the maid-servants by whom thou saidst that I was not had in honour.

23 Und Michal, Sauls Tochter, hatte kein Kind, bis an den Tag ihres Todes.

And Melchol the daughter of Saul had no child till the day of her death.
