2 Samuel 23
1 Und dies sind die letzten Worte Davids: Ein Spruch Davids, des Sohnes Ischais; ein Spruch des Mannes, bestätigt zum Gesalbten des Gottes Jakobs, und lieblich in den Psalmen Israels.
Now these [be] the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man [who was] raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,
2 Der Geist Jehovahs redete in mir und Seine Rede war auf meiner Zunge.
The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word [was] in my tongue.
3 Es sprach der Gott Israels zu mir, es redete der Fels Israels von einem, Der herrschen wird über die Menschen, von einem Gerechten, Der herrschen wird in der Furcht Gottes.
The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men [must be] just, ruling in the fear of God.
4 Und Er ist wie das Licht des Morgens, da die Sonne aufgeht, des Morgens ohne Wolken. Vom Glanze, vom Regen ist das junge Grün aus der Erde.
And [he shall be] as the light of the morning, [when] the sun riseth, [even] a morning without clouds; [as] the tender grass [springing] out of the earth by clear shining after rain.
5 Ist nicht also mein Haus bei Gott? Hat Er nicht den Bund der Ewigkeit für mich gesetzt, in allem geordnet und gehalten? Sollte Er nicht all mein Heil und all meine Lust ersprossen lassen!
Although my house [be] not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all [things], and sure: for [this is] all my salvation, and all [my] desire, although he make [it] not to grow.
6 Aber Belial sind wie Dornen, die man allesamt wegwirft, die man nicht in die Hand nimmt.
But [the sons] of Belial [shall be] all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:
7 Und der Mann, der sie berührt, waffnet sich mit Eisen und dem Holze des Spießes und verbrennt sie auf der Stelle im Feuer.
But the man [that] shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the [same] place.
8 Dies sind die Namen der Helden Davids: Joscheb-Baschebeth, der Tachkemoniter, das Haupt der Drei. Er schwang seinen Speer über achthundert auf einmal Erschlagene.
These [be] the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same [was] Adino the Eznite: [he lift up his spear] against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.
9 Und nach ihm Eleasar, der Sohn von Dodo, dem Sohn Achochis; er war unter den drei Helden mit David, als sie die Philister schmähten, die da zum Streite sich versammelt und die Männer Israels hinaufzogen.
And after him [was] Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, [one] of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines [that] were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:
10 Er machte sich auf und schlug die Philister, bis seine Hand müde wurde, und seine Hand am Schwerte klebte; und Jehovah schaffte an selbem Tage großes Heil, und das Volk zog hinter ihm her nur zur Plünderung.
He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.
11 Und nach ihm Schammah, Ages Sohn, der Harariter. Und die Philister hatten sich zu einer Rotte versammelt. Und es war allda ein Grundstück eines Feldes voll Linsen, und das Volk floh vor den Philistern.
And after him [was] Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines.
12 Und er stellte sich mitten auf das Grundstück und errettete dasselbe, und schlug die Philister und Jehovah schaffte großes Heil.
But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.
13 Und es gingen die drei Häupter der Dreißig hinab und kamen um die Ernte zu David nach der Höhle Adullam, und die Rotte der Philister lagerte im Talgrund der Rephaim.
And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim.
14 Und David war dazumal in der Feste, und eine Besatzung der Philister war dazumal in Bethlechem.
And David [was] then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines [was] then [in] Beth-lehem.
15 Und David gelüstete es, und er sprach: Wer gibt mir Wasser zu trinken aus dem Brunnen Bethlechems, der am Tore ist?
And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Beth-lehem, which [is] by the gate!
16 Und es brachen die drei Helden in das Lager der Philister durch und schöpften Wasser aus dem Brunnen Bethlechems, der am Tore war, und trugen es und kamen zu David. Der aber war nicht willens, es zu trinken, sondern goß es dem Jehovah aus.
And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem, that [was] by the gate, and took [it], and brought [it] to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.
17 Und sprach: Ferne sei von mir, Jehovah, daß ich dies tue, dies ist das Blut der Männer, die mit ihrer Seele gegangen sind; und er wollte es nicht trinken. Solches taten die drei Helden.
And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: [is not this] the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.
18 Und Abischai, der Bruder Joabs, Sohn Zerujahs, war ein Haupt von Dreien; und er schwang seinen Spieß über dreihundert Erschlagene; und er hatte einen Namen unter den Dreien.
And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, [and] slew [them], and had the name among three.
19 Er war verherrlicht von der Genossenschaft, und war ihnen zum Obersten, aber bis an die Drei kam er nicht.
Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the [first] three.
20 Und Benajahu, Sohn Jehojadas, der Sohn eines tapferen Mannes, groß an Taten, aus Kabzeel; er schlug zwei Ariele von Moab, und ging hinab und erschlug einen Löwen mitten in der Grube am Tage des Schnees.
And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:
21 Und er schlug einen ägyptischen Mann von Ansehen, und der Ägypter hatte einen Spieß in der Hand, er aber ging zu ihm hinab mit einer Rute, und entriß dem Ägypter den Spieß aus der Hand und erwürgte ihn mit seinem eigenen Spieß.
And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and slew him with his own spear.
22 Solches tat Benajahu, der Sohn Jehojadas, und er hatte einen Namen unter der Genossenschaft der Helden.
These [things] did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among three mighty men.
23 Er ward mehr verherrlicht als die Drei-ßig, aber an die Drei kam er nicht; und David setzte ihn zu seinem Rate ein.
He was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the [first] three. And David set him over his guard.
24 Asahel, Bruder Joabs, war unter den Dreißig; Elchanan, Sohn Dodos aus Bethlechem.
Asahel the brother of Joab [was] one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Beth-lehem,
25 Schammah, der Charoditer; Elika, der Charoditer.
Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,
26 Chelez, der Paltiter; Ira, der Sohn des Ikkesch, der Thekoiter.
Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,
27 Abieser, der Anthothiter; Mebunnai, der Chuschathiter.
Abiezer the Anethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,
28 Zalmon, der Achochiter; Maharai, der Netophathiter.
Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,
29 Cheleb, der Sohn Baanahs, der Netophathiter; Itthai, der Sohn Ribais aus Gibea, der Söhne Benjamins.
Heleb the son of Baanah, a Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai out of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin,
30 Benajahu, der Pirathoniter; Hiddai von den Bächen Gaasch.
Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,
31 Abi-Albon, der Arbathiter; Asmaweth, der Barchumiter.
Abi-albon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,
32 Eljachba, der Schaalboniter; Benejaschen, Jehonathan.
Eliahba the Shaalbonite, of the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,
33 Schammah, der Harariter; Achiam, der Sohn Scharars, der Harariter.
Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam the son of Sharar the Hararite,
34 Eliphelet, der Sohn Achasbais, des Sohnes des Maachathiters; Eliam, der Sohn Achitophels, der Giloniter.
Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maachathite, Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,
35 Chezrai, der Karmeliter; Paarai, der Arbiter.
Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,
36 Jigeal, Nathans Sohn, aus Zobah; Bani, der Gaditer.
Igal the son of Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,
37 Zelek, der Ammoniter, Nacharai, der Beerothiter, Waffenträger des Joab, des Sohnes von Zerujah;
Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, armourbearer to Joab the son of Zeruiah,
38 Ira, der Jethriter; Gareb, der Jethriter,
Ira an Ithrite, Gareb an Ithrite,
39 Urijah, der Chethiter. In allem waren es siebenunddreißig.
Uriah the Hittite: thirty and seven in all.
