2 Samuel 22
1 Und David redete zu Jehovah die Worte dieses Liedes am Tage, da ihn Jehovah aus der Hand aller seiner Feinde und aus der Hand Sauls errettet hatte, und sprach:
And Dauid spake the woordes of this song vnto the Lord, what time the Lord had deliuered him out of the handes of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul.
2 Jehovah, mein Hort, meine Feste und mein Befreier.
And he sayd, The Lord is my rocke and my fortresse, and he that deliuereth mee.
3 Mein Gott, mein Fels, auf Den ich mich verlasse; mein Schild und Horn meines Heils, meine Burg und meine Zuflucht, Du mein Retter, Der Du mir hilfst von der Gewalttat.
God is my strength, in him will I trust: my shielde, and the horne of my saluation, my hie tower and my refuge: my Sauiour, thou hast saued me from violence.
4 Lobenswürdiger, rufe ich, Jehovah! Und von meinen Feinden wird mir geholfen.
I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praysed: so shall I be safe from mine enemies.
5 Denn Brandungen des Todes hatten mich umfangen, Bäche Belials mich verstört.
For the pangs of death haue compassed me: the floods of vngodlinesse haue made mee afrayd.
The sorowes of the graue compassed mee about: the snares of death ouertooke mee. (Sheol h7585)
7 In meiner Drangsal rief ich zu Jehovah, und zu meinem Gotte rief ich, und Er hörte von seinem Tempel meine Stimme und mein Angstschrei kam in Seine Ohren.
But in my tribulation did I call vpon the Lord, and crie to my God, and he did heare my voyce out of his temple, and my crie did enter into his eares.
8 Und es schwankte und erbebte die Erde, die Grundfesten der Himmel zitterten und schwankten; denn Er entbrannte.
Then the earth trembled and quaked: the foundations of the heauens mooued and shooke, because he was angrie.
9 Rauch stieg auf von seiner Nase; und Feuer aus Seinem Munde fraß; Glühkohlen brannten aus Ihm hervor.
Smoke went out at his nostrels, and consuming fire out of his mouth: coles were kindled thereat.
10 Und Er neigte die Himmel und kam herab, und Wolkendunkel war unter Seinen Füßen.
He bowed the heauens also, and came downe, and darkenes was vnder his feete.
11 Und Er fuhr auf dem Cherub und flog und schwebte auf den Flügeln des Windes daher.
And he rode vpon Cherub and did flie, and hee was seene vpon the winges of the winde.
12 Und setzte Finsternis um Sich her als Hütten, Bande von Wassern, dichte Wolken der Wolkenhimmel.
And hee made darkenesse a Tabernacle round about him, euen the gatherings of waters, and the cloudes of the ayre.
13 Aus dem Glanze vor Ihm brannten Glühkohlen des Feuers.
At the brightnesse of his presence the coles of fire were kindled.
14 Vom Himmel donnerte Jehovah und der Höchste gab Seine Stimme.
The Lord thundred from heauen, and the most hie gaue his voyce.
15 Und sandte aus Pfeile und zerstreute sie, den Blitz, und verwirrte sie.
He shot arrowes also, and scattered them: to wit, lightning, and destroyed them.
16 Des Meeres Grundbette erschienen, die Grundfesten der Welt wurden aufgedeckt, vom Dräuen Jehovahs, vom Odem des Hauches Seiner Nase.
The chanels also of the sea appeared, euen the foundations of the worlde were discouered by the rebuking of the Lord, and at the blast of the breath of his nostrels.
17 Er sandte herab aus der Höhe und holte mich; aus vielen Wassern zog Er mich empor.
He sent from aboue, and tooke me: hee drewe me out of many waters.
18 Er errettete mich von meinem starken Feinde, von meinen Hassern, denn sie waren zu gewaltig für mich.
He deliuered me from my strong enemie, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.
19 Sie kamen wider mich am Tage meiner Not, aber Jehovah ward mir eine Stütze.
They preuented me in the day of my calamitie, but the Lord was my stay,
20 Und Er brachte mich heraus in das Weite, Er riß mich heraus, denn Er hatte Lust an mir.
And brought me foorth into a large place: he deliuered me, because he fauoured me.
21 Nach meiner Gerechtigkeit vergalt mir Jehovah. Nach der Lauterkeit meiner Hände gab Er es mir zurück.
The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnesse: according to the purenesse of mine handes he recompensed me.
22 Denn ich hielt die Wege Jehovahs und tat nicht Unrecht wider meinen Gott.
For I kept the wayes of the Lord, and did not wickedly against my God.
23 Denn alle Seine Rechte sind vor mir und Seine Satzungen tue ich nicht weg von mir.
For all his lawes were before me, and his statutes: I did not depart therefrom.
24 Ich war ihm untadelig und hütete mich vor meiner Missetat.
I was vpright also towarde him, and haue kept me from my wickednesse.
25 Und Jehovah gibt mir wieder nach meiner Gerechtigkeit, nach meiner Lauterkeit vor Seinen Augen.
Therefore the Lord did reward me according to my righteousnesse, according to my purenesse before his eyes.
26 Dem Heiligen erweisest Du Dich heilig, mit dem untadeligen Helden untadelig.
With the godly thou wilt shewe thy selfe godly: with the vpright man thou wilt shew thy selfe vpright.
27 Mit dem Lauteren zeigst Du Dich lauter und mit dem Krummen erscheinst Du verdreht.
With the pure thou wilt shewe thy selfe pure, and with the frowarde thou wilt shew thy selfe frowarde.
28 Dem elenden Volke hilfst Du, und Deine Augen sind wider die Hohen, daß Du sie erniedrigst.
Thus thou wilt saue the poore people: but thine eyes are vpon the hautie to humble them.
29 Denn Du bist meine Leuchte, Jehovah, und Jehovah macht meine Finsternis erglänzen.
Surely thou art my light, O Lord: and the Lord will lighten my darkenes.
30 Denn mit Dir durchlaufe ich Kriegshaufen. Mit meinem Gotte überspringe ich die Mauer.
For by thee haue I broken through an hoste, and by my God haue I leaped ouer a wall.
31 Gott, untadelig ist Sein Weg, die Rede Jehovahs ist geläutert; Er ist ein Schild allen, die auf Ihn sich verlassen.
The way of God is vncorrupt: the word of the Lord is tryed in the fire: he is a shield to all that trust in him.
32 Denn wer ist Gott außer Jehovah! Und wer ein Fels außer unserem Gotte.
For who is God besides the Lord? and who is mightie, saue our God?
33 Gott ist mir Stärke der Tapferkeit, und macht untadelig meinen Weg.
God is my strength in battel, and maketh my way vpright.
34 Er machte meine Füße gleich denen der Hindinnen, und ließ mich stehen auf meinen Höhen.
He maketh my feete like hindes feete, and hath set me vpon mine hie places.
35 Er lehrte meine Hände den Streit und meine Arme, daß sie den ehernen Bogen spannten.
He teacheth mine handes to fight, so that a bowe of brasse is broken with mine armes.
36 Und gabst mir den Schild Deines Heiles, und während Du mich demütigest, mehrest du mich.
Thou hast also giuen me the shield of thy saluation, and thy louing kindnesse hath caused me to increase.
37 Du machtest weit meinen Schritt unter mir, daß meine Knöchel nicht gleiteten.
Thou hast inlarged my steppes vnder me, and mine heeles haue not slid.
38 Ich setzte meinen Feinden nach und vernichtete sie, und kehrte nicht um, bis sie getilgt waren.
I haue pursued mine enemies and destroyed them, and haue not turned againe vntill I had consumed them.
39 Ich tilgte sie und zerschmetterte sie, daß sie nicht aufstanden, und sie unter meine Füße fielen.
Yea, I haue consumed them and thrust them through, and they shall not arise, but shall fall vnder my feete.
40 Und Du umgürtetest mich mit Tapferkeit zum Streite, und ließest, die wider mich aufstanden, sich krümmen unter mir.
For thou hast girded me with power to battell, and them that arose against me, hast thou subdued vnder me.
41 Du hast mir meiner Feinde Nacken gegeben, und meine Hasser habe ich vertilgt.
And thou hast giuen me the neckes of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
42 Sie schauten aus, und kein Retter war da, zu Jehovah, und Er antwortete ihnen nicht.
They looked about, but there was none to saue them, euen vnto the Lord, but he answered them not.
43 Und ich zermalmte sie wie Staub der Erde, wie Kot der Gassen zerstieß ich sie und zerstampfte sie.
Then did I beate them as small as the dust of the earth: I did treade them flat as the clay of the streete, and did spread them abroad.
44 Du befreist mich von dem Hadern meines Volkes. Du behütetest mich, daß ich zum Haupte der Völkerschaften würde, ein Volk, das ich nicht gekannt, diente mir.
Thou hast also deliuered me from the contentions of my people: thou hast preserued me to be the head ouer nations: the people which I knewe not, doe serue me.
45 Söhne des Auslandes werden mir huldigen, gehorchen mir auf Ohrgehör.
Strangers shalbe in subiection to me: assoone as they heare, they shall obey me.
46 Die Söhne des Auslandes welken hin und kriechen hervor aus ihren Schlössern.
Strangers shall shrinke away, and feare in their priuie chambers.
47 Es lebt Jehovah, und gesegnet sei mein Fels, und erhöht sei mein Gott, der Fels meines Heiles,
Let the Lord liue, and blessed be my strength: and God, euen the force of my saluation be exalted.
48 Der Gott, Der mir Rache gibt und Völker herabbringt unter mich.
It is God that giueth me power to reuenge me, and subdue the people vnder me,
49 Und mich herausgebracht aus meinen Feinden, und mich erhöht über die, so wider mich aufstanden, und mich errettet von dem Manne der Gewalttat.
And rescueth me from mine enemies: (thou also hast lift me vp from them that rose against me, thou hast deliuered me from the cruell man.
50 Darum bekenne ich Dich unter den Völkerschaften, Jehovah, und singe Psalmen Deinem Namen.
Therefore I will praise thee, O Lord amog the nations, and will sing vnto thy Name)
51 Er macht großes Heil Seinem König und tut Barmherzigkeit Seinem Gesalbten, dem David, und Seinem Samen in Ewigkeit.
He is the tower of saluation for his King, and sheweth mercie to his anointed, euen to Dauid, and to his seede for euer.
