1 Und Elischa, der Prophet, rief einen von den Söhnen der Propheten und sprach zu ihm: Gürte deine Lenden und nimm diese Flasche Öl in deine Hand und gehe hin nach Ramoth Gilead.
Then Elisha the Prophet called one of ye children of the Prophets, and sayde vnto him, Gird thy loynes and take this boxe of oyle in thine hand and get thee to Ramoth Gilead.
2 Und kommst du dahin, so siehst du allda Jehu, den Sohn Jehoschaphats, des Sohnes Nimschis, und gehe hinein und laß ihn aufstehen aus der Mitte seiner Brüder und bringe ihn hinein von Kammer zu Kammer.
And when thou commest thither, looke where is Iehu ye sonne of Iehoshaphat, the sonne of Nimshi, and go, and make him arise vp from among his brethren, and leade him to a secret chamber.
3 Und nimm die Flasche Öl und gieße sie auf sein Haupt und sprich: So spricht Jehovah: Ich salbe dich zum König über Israel. Und öffne die Tür und flieh und verziehe nicht.
Then take the boxe of oyle and powre it on his head, and say, Thus sayth the Lord, I haue anointed thee for King ouer Israel. then open the doore, and flee without any tarying.
4 Und der Junge ging hin, der Junge von den Propheten, nach Ramoth Gilead.
So the seruat of ye Prophet gate him to Ramoth Gilead.
5 Und er kam und siehe, die Obersten der Streitmacht saßen da, und er sprach: Ich habe ein Wort an dich, Oberst. Und Jehu sprach: Zu welchem von uns allen? Und er sprach: An dich, Oberster.
And when he came in, behold, the captaines of the armie were sitting. And he sayde, I haue a message to thee, O captaine. And Iehu sayd, Vnto which of all vs? And he answered, To thee, O captaine.
6 Und er stand auf und ging hinein in das Haus, und er goß das Öl auf sein Haupt und sprach zu ihm: So spricht Jehovah, der Gott Israels, Ich salbe dich zum König über das Volk Jehovahs, über Israel.
And he arose, and went into the house, and he powred the oyle on his head and sayde vnto him, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, I haue anointed thee for King ouer the people of the Lord, euen ouer Israel.
7 Und du sollst schlagen das Haus Achabs, deines Herrn, und Ich räche das Blut Meiner Knechte, der Propheten, und das Blut aller Knechte Jehovahs von der Hand Isebels.
And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may auenge the blood of my seruants the Prophets, and the blood of al the seruants of the Lord of the hand of Iezebel.
8 Auf daß zugrunde gehe das ganze Haus Achabs, und Ich von Achab ausrotte, was an die Wand pißt, alles Zurückgehaltene und Verlassene in Israel.
For the whole house of Ahab shalbe destroied: and I will cut off from Ahab, him that maketh water against the wall, as well him that is shut vp, as him that is left in Israel.
9 Und Ich will dahingeben das Haus Achabs, wie das Haus von Jerobeam, dem Sohne Nebats, und wie das Haus von Baescha, dem Sohne Achijahs.
And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the sonne of Ahiiah.
10 Und Isebel sollen fressen die Hunde auf dem Grundstück von Jisreel, und niemand sie begraben. Und er öffnete die Tür und floh.
And the dogges shall eate Iezebel in the fielde of Izreel, and there shalbe none to burie her. And he opened the doore, and fled.
11 Und Jehu ging heraus zu den Knechten seines Herrn, und einer sprach zu ihm: Ist es Frieden? Warum ist dieser Wahnsinnige zu dir gekommen? Und er sprach zu ihnen: Ihr kennt ja den Mann und sein Sinnen.
Then Iehu came out to the seruants of his lord. And one sayd vnto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellowe to thee? And hee sayde vnto them, Ye knowe the man, and what his talke was.
12 Und sie sprachen: Lüge! Sage es uns doch an, und er sprach: So und so sprach er zu mir und sagte: So spricht Jehovah: Ich salbe dich zum König über Israel.
And they sayde, It is false, tell vs it nowe. Then he sayd, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saieth the Lord, I haue anointed thee for King ouer Israel.
13 Und sie eilten, und jeder Mann nahm sein Kleid und legte es unter ihn auf die bloßen Stufen, und stießen in die Posaune und sprachen: Jehu ist König!
Then they made haste, and tooke euerie man his garment, and put it vnder him on the top of the staires, and blewe the trumpet, saying, Iehu is King.
14 Und so verschwor sich Jehu, der Sohn von Jehoschaphat, dem Sohne Nimschis, wider Joram, und Joram hielt Ramoth Gilead, er und ganz Israel, vor Chasahel, dem König von Aram.
So Iehu ye sonne of Iehoshaphat the sonne of Nimshi conspired against Ioram: (Now Ioram kept Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael King of Aram.
15 Und Jehoram, der König, war zurückgegangen, um sich in Jisreel von den Schlägen heilen zu lassen, die ihm die Aramiter schlugen, da er gegen Chasahel, den König von Aram, stritt; und Jehu hatte gesprochen: Wenn es in eurer Seele ist, so soll keiner hinausgehen, um zu entrinnen aus der Stadt, daß er gehe, um es in Jisreel anzusagen.
And King Ioram returned to bee healed in Izreel of the woundes, which the Aramites had giuen him, when hee fought with Hazael King of Aram) and Iehu sayde, If it be your mindes, let no man depart and escape out of the citie, to goe and tell in Izreel.
16 Und Jehu fuhr dahin und ging nach Jisreel; denn Joram lag allda, und Achasjah, König von Judah, war hinabgegangen, Joram zu sehen.
So Iehu gate vp into a charet, and went to Izreel: for Ioram lay there, and Ahaziah King of Iudah was come downe to see Ioram.
17 Und der Wächter stand auf dem Turm in Jisreel, und sah Jehus Haufen kommen und sprach: Ich sehe einen Haufen. Und Jehoram sprach: Nimm einen Reitersmann und sende ihn ihnen entgegen, daß er spreche: Ist es Friede?
And the watchman that stoode in the towre in Izreel spyed the companie of Iehu as hee came, and sayd, I see a companie. And Iehoram said, Take a horseman and send to meete them, that hee may say, Is it peace?
18 Und es ging ihm der Reitersmann zu Pferde entgegen und sagte: So spricht der König: Ist es Friede? Und Jehu sprach: Was ist es mit dir und mit dem Frieden? Wende dich um hinter mich. Und der Wächter sagte an und sprach: Der Bote ist bis zu ihnen gekommen, und kehrt nicht zurück.
So there went one on horseback to meete him, and sayde, Thus sayth the King, Is it peace? And Iehu sayd, What hast thou to do with peace? Turne behinde me. And the watchman tolde, saying, The messenger came to them, but he commeth not againe.
19 Und er sandte einen zweiten Reitersmann zu Pferde, und er kam zu ihnen und sprach: So spricht der König: Ist es Friede? Und Jehu sprach: Was ist es mit dir und mit dem Frieden? Wende dich um hinter mich!
Then hee sent out another on horsebacke, which came to them, and sayde, Thus sayth the King, Is it peace? And Iehu answered, What hast thou to doe with peace? turne behinde me.
20 Und der Wächter sagte an und sprach: Er ist bis zu ihnen gekommen und kehrt nicht zurück, und das Treiben ist wie das Treiben Jehus, des Sohnes Nimschis; denn er treibt wie ein Wahnsinniger.
And the watchman tolde, saying, He came to them also, but commeth not againe, and the marching is like the marching of Iehu the sonne of Nimshi: for he marcheth furiously.
21 Und Jehoram sprach: Spanne an! Und man spannte seinen Streitwagen an, und es zog aus Jehoram, der König von Israel, und Achasjahu, der König von Judah, jeder Mann auf seinem Streitwagen, und sie zogen aus, Jehu entgegen, und trafen auf ihn auf dem Grundstück des Naboth, des Jisreeliten.
Then Iehoram sayd, Make ready: and his charet was made ready. And Iehoram King of Israel and Ahaziah King of Iudah went out eyther of them in his charet against Iehu, and met him in the fielde of Naboth the Izreelite.
22 Und es geschah, als Jehoram den Jehu sah, da sprach er: Ist es Friede, Jehu? Und er sprach: Was Friede? Mit den Buhlereien der Isebel, deiner Mutter, und ihren vielen Zaubereien?
And when Iehoram sawe Iehu, he sayde, Is it peace, Iehu? And he answered, What peace? whiles the whoredomes of thy mother Iezebel, and her witchcraftes are yet in great nomber?
23 Und Jehoram kehrte seine Hände um und floh, und sprach zu Achasjahu: Verrat Achasjahu!
Then Iehoram turned his hand, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, O Ahaziah, there is treason.
24 Und Jehu füllte seine Hand mit dem Bogen und schoß Jehoram zwischen seine Arme, und der Pfeil ging heraus von seinem Herzen, und er krümmte sich in seinem Streitwagen.
But Iehu tooke a bowe in his hande, and smote Iehoram betweene the shoulders, that the arowe went through his heart: and he fell downe in his charet.
25 Und er sprach zu seinem Wagenkämpfer Bidkar: Hebe ihn auf und wirf ihn auf das Grundstück, das Feld des Jisreeliten Naboth; denn gedenke, wie ich und du mit denen waren, die hinter Achab, seinem Vater, paarweise ritten, und Jehovah wider ihn den Ausspruch erhob:
Then said Iehu to Bidkar a captaine, Take, and cast him in some place of the fielde of Naboth the Izreelite: for I remember that when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the Lord layed this burden vpon him.
26 Fürwahr, das Blut Naboths und das Blut seiner Söhne habe Ich gestern gesehen, spricht Jehovah, und vergelte dir auf diesem Grundstück, spricht Jehovah, und nun hebe ihn auf, und wirf ihn auf das Grundstück, nach dem Worte Jehovahs.
Surely I haue seene yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sonnes, saide the Lord, and I will render it thee in this fielde, saith the Lord: nowe therefore take and cast him in the fielde, according to the word of the Lord.
27 Und Achasjah, der König von Judah, sah es und floh auf dem Weg nach dem Hause des Gartens, und Jehu setzte hinter ihm her nach und sprach: Auch ihn erschlaget auf dem Streitwagen, auf der Steige nach Gur bei Jibleam; und er floh nach Megiddo und starb daselbst.
But when Ahaziah the King of Iudah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house: And Iehu pursued after him, and sayd, Smite him also in the charet: and they smote him in the going vp to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And hee fled to Megiddo, and there dyed.
28 Und seine Knechte fuhren ihn nach Jerusalem, und begruben ihn in seinem Grabe bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids.
And his seruants caried him in a charet to Ierusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the citie of Dauid.
29 Und im elften Jahr der Jahre von Joram, dem Sohne Achabs, war Achasjahu über Judah König geworden.
And in the eleuenth yere of Ioram the sonne of Ahab, began Ahaziah to reigne ouer Iudah.
30 Und Jehu kam hinein nach Jisreel und Isebel hörte es und legte Bleiglanz auf ihre Augen und schmückte ihr Haupt, und schaute aus durch das Fenster.
And when Iehu was come to Izreel, Iezebel heard of it, and painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a windowe.
31 Und Jehu kam in das Tor; und sie sprach: Hatte Simri Frieden, der seinen Herrn erwürgt?
And as Iehu entred at the gate, shee sayde, Had Zimri peace, which slewe his master?
32 Und er hob sein Angesicht auf zum Fenster und sprach: Wer ist mit mir? wer? Und es schauten aus zu ihm zwei, drei Hofbeamte.
And he lift vp his eyes to the windowe, and sayd, Who is on my side, who? Then two or three of her Eunuches looked vnto him.
33 Er aber sprach: Stürzet sie herab! Und sie stürzten sie hinab, und es spritzte von ihrem Blut auf die Wand und auf die Rosse, und sie ward zerstampft.
And he sayde, Cast her downe: and they cast her downe, and hee sprinkled of her blood vpon the wall, and vpon the horses, and he trode her vnder foote.
34 Und er ging hinein, und aß und trank und sprach: Seht doch nach dieser Verfluchten und begrabt sie; denn sie ist die Tochter eines Königs.
And when he was come in, he did eate and drinke, and sayde, Visite now yonder cursed woman, and burie her: for she is a Kings daughter.
35 Und sie gingen hin, sie zu begraben, fanden aber nichts von ihr, als den Schädel und die Füße und die flachen Hände.
And they went to burie her, but they foud no more of her, then the skull and the feete, and the palmes of her handes.
36 Und sie kehrten zurück und sagten es ihm an; und er sprach: Das Wort Jehovahs ist es, das Er durch die Hand seines Knechtes Elijahu, den Thischbiter, geredet und gesagt hat: Auf dem Grundstück Jisreels sollen die Hunde fressen das Fleisch Isebels.
Wherefore they came agayne and tolde him. And he said, This is the worde of the Lord, which he spake by his seruant Eliiah the Tishbite, saying, In the fielde of Izreel shall ye dogs eate the flesh of Iezebel.
37 Und der Leichnam Isebels soll wie Dünger sein auf dem Felde, auf dem Grundstück Jisreels, so daß man nicht sagen mag: Das ist Isebel.
And the carkeis of Iezebel shalbe as doung vpon the ground in the field of Izreel, so that none shall say, This is Iezebel.
