Rut 3
1 Naemi aber, ihre Schwiegermutter, sprach zu ihr: Meine Tochter, sollte ich dir nicht eine Heimat verschaffen, da es dir wohlgehen wird?
Afterward Naomi her mother in lawe said vnto her, My daughter, shall not I seeke rest for thee, that thou mayest prosper?
2 Und nun, ist nicht Boas, bei dessen Jungfrauen du gewesen bist, unser Verwandter? Siehe, er worfelt diese Nacht auf seiner Gerstentenne.
Now also is not Boaz our kinsman, with whose maides thou wast? beholde, he winoweth barly to night in the floore.
3 So bade dich nun und lege deine Kleider an und geh zur Tenne hinab; aber gib dich dem Mann nicht zu erkennen, bis er genug gegessen und getrunken hat.
Wash thy sellfe therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment vpon thee, and get thee downe to the floore: let not the man know of thee, vntill he haue left eating and drinking.
4 Wenn er sich alsdann schlafen legt, so merk dir den Ort, wo er sich niederlegt, und gehe hin und decke auf zu seinen Füßen und lege dich, so wird er dir sagen, was du tun sollst.
And when he shall sleepe, marke the place where he layeth him downe, and go, and vncouer the place of his feete, and lay thee downe, and he shall tell thee what thou shalt doe.
5 Sie sprach zu ihr: Alles, was du mir sagst, das will ich tun!
And she answered her, All that thou biddest me, I will doe.
6 Und sie ging zur Tenne hinab und machte es genau so, wie ihre Schwiegermutter befohlen hatte.
So she went downe vnto the floore, and did according to all that her mother in lawe bade her.
7 Als nun Boas gegessen und getrunken hatte und sein Herz guter Dinge war, kam er und legte sich hinter einen Garbenhaufen; da kam sie leise und deckte auf zu seinen Füßen und legte sich.
And when Boaz had eaten, and drunken, and cheared his heart, he went to lie downe at the end of the heape of corne, and she came softly, and vncouered the place of his feet, and lay downe.
8 Als es nun Mitternacht war, erschrak der Mann und wandte sich, und siehe, da lag ein Weib zu seinen Füßen! Da fragte er: Wer bist du?
And at midnight the man was afraide and caught holde: and loe, a woman lay at his feete.
9 Sie aber antwortete: Ich bin Ruth, deine Magd! Breite deinen Flügel über deine Magd; denn du bist der Löser!
Then he sayd, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmayd: spread therefore the wing of thy garment ouer thine handmayd: for thou art the kinsman.
10 Er aber sprach: Gesegnet seist du vom HERRN, meine Tochter! Du hast jetzt noch edler gehandelt als zuvor, daß du nicht den Jünglingen nachgelaufen bist, weder den armen noch den reichen!
Then sayd he, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my daughter: thou hast shewed more goodnes in the latter end, then at the beginning, in as much as thou followedst not yong men, were they poore or rich.
11 Nun, meine Tochter, fürchte dich nicht! Alles, was du sagst, das will ich dir tun; denn jedermann im Tor meines Volkes weiß, daß du ein wackeres Weib bist.
And now, my daughter, feare not: I will doe to thee all that thou requirest: for all the citie of my people doeth knowe, that thou art a vertuous woman.
12 Und nun, es ist wahr, daß ich ein Löser bin; aber es ist noch ein anderer Löser vorhanden, der näher verwandt ist als ich.
And now, it is true that I am thy kinsman, howbeit there is a kinsman neerer then I.
13 Bleibe über Nacht! Will er dich morgen lösen, wohlan, so löse er dich! Gelüstet es ihn aber nicht, dich zu lösen, so will ich dich lösen, so wahr der HERR lebt!
Tarie to night, and when morning is come, if he will doe the duetie of a kinsman vnto thee, well, let him doe the kinsmans duetie: but if he will not doe the kinsmans part, then wil I doe the duetie of a kinsman, as the Lord liueth: sleepe vntill the morning.
14 Bleib bis zum Morgen liegen! So lag sie bis an den Morgen zu seinen Füßen. Dann stand sie auf, ehe noch einer den andern erkennen konnte. Er aber gedachte: Wenn nur niemand erfährt, daß ein Weib in die Tenne gekommen ist.
And she lay at his feete vntill the morning: and she arose before one could know another: for he sayd, Let no man knowe, that a woman came into the floore.
15 Und er sprach: Gib den Überwurf, den du anhast und halte ihn her! Und sie hielt ihn her. Da maß er sechs Maß Gerste und lud es ihr auf und ging in die Stadt.
Also he sayd, Bring the sheete that thou hast vpon thee, and holde it. And when she helde it, he measured sixe measures of barly, and layde them on her, and she went into the citie.
16 Sie aber kam zu ihrer Schwiegermutter; die sprach: Wie steht's mit dir, meine Tochter? Da teilte sie ihr alles mit, was der Mann ihr getan hatte und sprach:
And when she came to her mother in law, she sayd, Who art thou, my daughter? And she tolde her all that the man had done to her,
17 Diese sechs Maß Gerste gab er mir; denn er sprach: Du sollst nicht leer zu deiner Schwiegermutter kommen!
And said, These sixe measures of barly gaue he me: for he sayd to me, Thou shalt not come emptie vnto thy mother in lawe.
18 Sie aber sprach: Sei still, meine Tochter, bis du erfährst, wie die Sache ausfällt! Denn der Mann wird nicht säumen, sondern die Sache noch heute erledigen.
Then sayd she, My daughter, sit still, vntill thou knowe how the thing will fall: for the man wil not be in rest, vntill he hath finished the matter this same day.
