Offenbarung 21
1 Und ich sah einen neuen Himmel und eine neue Erde; denn der erste Himmel und die erste Erde sind vergangen, und das Meer ist nicht mehr.
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
2 Und ich sah die heilige Stadt, das neue Jerusalem, aus dem Himmel herabsteigen von Gott, zubereitet wie eine für ihren Mann geschmückte Braut.
And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 Und ich hörte eine laute Stimme aus dem Himmel sagen: Siehe da, die Hütte Gottes bei den Menschen! Und er wird bei ihnen wohnen, und sie werden sein Volk sein, und Gott selbst wird bei ihnen sein, ihr Gott.
And I heard a loud voice out of the throne, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them, their God;
4 Und Gott wird abwischen alle Tränen von ihren Augen, und der Tod wird nicht mehr sein, noch Leid noch Geschrei noch Schmerz wird mehr sein; denn das Erste ist vergangen.
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall mourning, nor crying, nor pain he any more; for the former things are passed away.
5 Und der auf dem Throne saß, sprach: Siehe, ich mache alles neu! Und er sprach zu mir: Schreibe; denn diese Worte sind gewiß und wahrhaft!
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write; for these words are faithful and true.
6 Und er sprach zu mir: Es ist geschehen! Ich bin das A und das O, der Anfang und das Ende. Ich will dem Durstigen geben aus dem Quell des Wassers des Lebens umsonst!
And he said to me, All things are accomplished. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To him that thirsteth I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 Wer überwindet, wird solches ererben, und ich werde sein Gott sein, und er wird mein Sohn sein.
He that overcometh shall inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
9 Und es kam einer von den sieben Engeln, welche die sieben Schalen voll der sieben letzten Plagen hatten, und redete mit mir und sprach: Komm, ich will dir das Weib, die Braut des Lammes zeigen!
And there came one of the seven angels who had the seven vials filled with the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither; I will show thee the bride, the wife of the Lamb.
10 Und er brachte mich im Geist auf einen großen und hohen Berg und zeigte mir die Stadt, das heilige Jerusalem, die von Gott aus dem Himmel herabkam,
And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
11 welche die Herrlichkeit Gottes hat. Und ihr Lichtglanz ist gleich dem köstlichsten Edelstein, wie ein kristallheller Jaspis.
having the glory of God; her light was like to a most precious stone, as it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 Und sie hat eine große und hohe Mauer und zwölf Tore und auf den Toren zwölf Engel und Namen angeschrieben, nämlich die Namen der zwölf Stämme der Kinder Israel.
having a wall great and high; having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel;
13 Von Osten drei Tore, von Norden drei Tore, von Süden drei Tore, von Westen drei Tore.
on the east, three gates; and on the north, three gates; and on the south, three gates; and on the west, three gates.
14 Und die Mauer der Stadt hat zwölf Grundsteine und auf ihnen die zwölf Namen der zwölf Apostel des Lammes.
And the wall of the city had twelve foundation-stones, and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 Und der mit mir redete, hatte ein goldenes Meßrohr, um die Stadt und ihre Tore und ihre Mauer zu messen.
And he who talked with me had for a measure a golden reed, to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 Und die Stadt bildet ein Viereck, und ihre Länge ist so groß wie ihre Breite. Und er maß die Stadt mit dem Rohr, auf zwölftausend Stadien; die Länge und die Breite und die Höhe derselben sind gleich.
And the city lieth four-square, and its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 Und er maß ihre Mauer: hundertvierundvierzig Ellen nach Menschenmaß, welches der Engel hat.
And he measured the wall thereof, a hundred and forty-four cubits, according to a man's measure, which is that of an angel.
18 Und der Baustoff ihrer Mauer ist Jaspis, und die Stadt ist reines Gold, wie reines Glas.
And the material of its wall was jasper; and the city was of pure gold, like to clear glass.
19 Und die Grundsteine der Stadtmauer sind mit allerlei Edelsteinen geschmückt; der erste Grundstein ist ein Jaspis, der zweite ein Saphir, der dritte ein Chalcedon, der vierte ein Smaragd,
The foundation-stones of the wall of the city were adorned with all manner of precious stones: the first foundation-stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;
20 der fünfte ein Sardonyx, der sechste ein Sardis, der siebente ein Chrysolit, der achte ein Beryll, der neunte ein Topas, der zehnte ein Chrysopras, der elfte ein Hyazinth, der zwölfte ein Amethyst.
the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprasus; the eleventh, hyacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.
21 Und die zwölf Tore sind zwölf Perlen, jedes der Tore aus einer Perle, und die Straßen der Stadt sind reines Gold, wie durchsichtiges Glas.
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
22 Und einen Tempel sah ich nicht in ihr; denn der Herr, der allmächtige Gott, ist ihr Tempel, und das Lamm.
And I saw no temple therein; for the Lord God Almighty is its temple, and the Lamb.
23 Und die Stadt bedarf nicht der Sonne noch des Mondes, daß sie ihr scheinen; denn die Herrlichkeit Gottes erleuchtet sie, und ihre Leuchte ist das Lamm.
And the city hath no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine upon it; for the glory of God lightened it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 Und die Völker werden in ihrem Lichte wandeln und die Könige der Erde ihre Herrlichkeit in sie bringen.
And the nations will walk by the light of it; and the kings of the earth bring their glory into it;
25 Und ihre Tore sollen nicht geschlossen werden am Tage; denn dort wird keine Nacht sein.
and the gates of it shall not be shut by day, for there will be no night there;
26 Und man wird die Herrlichkeit und die Ehre der Völker in sie bringen.
and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.
27 Und es wird durchaus nichts Unreines in sie eingehen, noch wer Greuel und Lüge übt, sondern nur die, welche im Lebensbuch des Lammes geschrieben stehen.
And there shall not enter into it anything unclean, or that worketh abomination and falsehood; but only they that are written in the Lamb's book of life.
