Psalm 96

1 Singet dem HERRN ein neues Lied, singet dem HERRN, alle Welt!

Sing vnto the Lord a newe song: sing vnto the Lord, all the earth.

2 Singet dem HERRN, preiset seinen Namen, prediget Tag für Tag sein Heil!

Sing vnto the Lord, and prayse his Name: declare his saluation from day to day.

3 Erzählet unter den Heiden seine Herrlichkeit, unter allen Völkern seine Wunder!

Declare his glory among all nations, and his wonders among all people.

4 Denn groß ist der HERR und hoch zu loben; er ist verehrungswürdiger als alle Götter.

For the Lord is great and much to be praysed: he is to be feared aboue all gods.

5 Denn alle Götter der Völker sind Götzen; aber der HERR hat den Himmel gemacht.

For all the gods of the people are idoles: but the Lord made the heauens.

6 Pracht und Majestät sind vor seinem Angesicht, Macht und Herrlichkeit in seinem Heiligtum.

Strength and glory are before him: power and beautie are in his Sanctuarie.

7 Bringet dem HERRN, ihr Völkerstämme, bringet dem HERRN Ehre und Macht!

Giue vnto the Lord, ye families of the people: giue vnto the Lord glory and power.

8 Bringet dem HERRN die Ehre seines Namens, bringet Gaben und gehet ein zu seinen Vorhöfen!

Giue vnto the Lord the glory of his Name: bring an offering, and enter into his courtes.

9 Betet den HERRN an in heiligem Schmuck; erbebet vor ihm, alle Welt!

Worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuarie: tremble before him all the earth.

10 Saget unter den Heiden: der HERR regiert! Darum steht auch der Erdkreis fest und wankt nicht. Er wird die Völker richten mit Gerechtigkeit.

Say among the nations, The Lord reigneth: surely the world shalbe stable, and not moue, and he shall iudge the people in righteousnesse.

11 Es freue sich der Himmel, und die Erde frohlocke, es brause das Meer und was es erfüllt!

Let the heauens reioyce, and let the earth be glad: let the sea roare, and all that therein is.

12 Es jauchze das Feld und alles, was darauf ist! Alle Bäume im Wald sollen alsdann jubeln

Let the field be ioyfull, and all that is in it: let all the trees of the wood then reioyce

13 vor dem HERRN; weil er kommt, weil er kommt, die Erde zu richten. Er wird den Erdkreis richten mit Gerechtigkeit und die Völker in seiner Treue.

Before the Lord: for he commeth, for he cometh to iudge the earth: he wil iudge the world with righteousnes, and the people in his trueth.
