Psalm 95
1 Kommt, laßt uns dem HERRN lobsingen und jauchzen dem Felsen unsres Heils!
O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
2 Laßt uns ihm mit Lobgesang begegnen und mit Psalmen jauchzen!
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and shout joyfully unto him with psalms.
3 Denn der HERR ist ein großer Gott und ein großer König über alle Götter;
For a great God is the Lord, and a great King above all Gods;
4 in seiner Hand sind die Tiefen der Erde, und die Spitzen der Berge gehören ihm;
In whose hand are the deep places of the earth; and whose are the heights of mountains;
5 sein ist das Meer, denn er hat es gemacht, und seine Hände haben das Trockene bereitet.
Whose is the sea, and who hath made it; and whose hands have formed the dry land.
6 Geht ein, lasset uns anbeten und niederknieen, lasset uns lobpreisen vor dem HERRN, unserm Schöpfer!
Oh come, let us prostrate ourselves and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
7 Denn er ist unser Gott, und wir sind das Volk seiner Weide und die Schafe seiner Hand.
For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the flock of his hand: yea, this day, if ye will hearken to his voice,
8 Wenn ihr heute seine Stimme höret, so verstocket eure Herzen nicht, wie zu Meriba, am Tage der Versuchung in der Wüste,
Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, as on the day of the temptation in the wilderness:
9 da mich eure Väter versuchten; sie prüften mich; und sahen doch meine Werke!
When your fathers tempted me, proved me, although they had seen my doing.
10 Vierzig Jahre empfand ich Ekel vor diesem Geschlecht; und ich sprach: Sie sind ein Volk, dessen Herz den Irrweg geht, und sie verstanden meine Wege nicht!
Forty years long did I feel loathing on that generation, and I said, It is a people of an erring heart; and they truly acknowledged not my ways:
11 So daß ich schwur in meinem Zorn: Sie sollen nicht eingehen zu meiner Ruhe!
So that I swore in my wrath, that they should not enter into my rest.
