Psalm 93

1 Der HERR ist König, mit Majestät bekleidet; der HERR ist angetan, ist umgürtet mit Macht; auch der Weltkreis steht fest und wird nicht wanken.

Yahweh, you are the King! You are majestic, and the power that you have is [like] [MET] a robe that a king wears. You put the world firmly in place, and it will never be moved/shaken.

2 Dein Thron steht von jeher fest; du bist von Ewigkeit her!

You ruled as king a very long time ago; you have always existed.

3 Die Wasserströme brausen, o HERR, die Wasserströme brausen stark, die Wasserströme schwellen mächtig an;

Yahweh, [when you created the world, you separated] the water from [the chaotic mass and formed oceans], and the waves of the waters [of those oceans] still roar,

4 aber mächtiger als das Brausen großer Wasser, mächtiger als die Meereswellen ist der HERR in der Höhe!

[but] you are greater than the roar of those oceans, more powerful than the ocean waves! You are Yahweh, the one who is greater than any other god!

5 Deine Zeugnisse sind sehr zuverlässig; Heiligkeit ist die Zierde deines Hauses, o HERR, für alle Zeiten.

Yahweh, your laws never change, and your temple has always been holy/sacred. And that will be true forever.
