Psalm 83
1 Ein Psalmlied; von Asaph. Bleibe nicht stille, o Gott, schweige nicht und halte nicht inne!
The song of the salm of Asaph. God, who schal be lijk thee? God, be thou not stille, nether be thou peesid.
2 Denn siehe, deine Feinde toben, und die dich hassen, erheben das Haupt.
For lo! thin enemyes sowneden; and thei that haten thee reisiden the heed.
3 Sie machen listige Anschläge wider dein Volk, verabreden sich wider deine Schutzbefohlenen.
Thei maden a wickid counsel on thi puple; and thei thouyten ayens thi seyntis.
4 Sie sprechen: «Kommt, wir wollen sie vertilgen, daß sie kein Volk mehr seien, daß des Namens Israel nicht mehr gedacht werde!»
Thei seiden, Come ye, and leese we hem fro the folk; and the name of Israel be no more hadde in mynde.
5 Ja, sie fassen einen einmütigen Beschluß, sie schließen einen Bund wider dich;
For thei thouyten with oon acord;
6 die Zelte Edoms und die Ismaeliter, Moab und die Hagariter;
the tabernaclis of Ydumeys, and men of Ismael disposiden a testament togidere ayens thee. Moab, and Agarenus, Jebal, and Amon, and Amalech;
7 Gebal, Ammon und Amalek, die Philister samt denen zu Tyrus.

8 Auch Assur hat sich mit ihnen befreundet und leiht den Kindern Lots seinen Arm. (Pause)
For Assur cometh with hem; thei ben maad in to help to the sones of Loth.
9 Tue ihnen wie Midian, wie Sisera, wie Jabin am Bach Kison,
Make thou to hem as to Madian, and Sisara; as to Jabyn in the stronde of Sison.
10 die vertilgt wurden zu Endor, zu Dünger wurden fürs Ackerfeld.
Thei perischiden in Endor; thei weren maad as a toord of erthe.
11 Mache ihre Edlen wie Oreb und Seb, wie Sebach und Zalmuna alle ihre Fürsten,
Putte thou the prynces of hem as Oreb and Zeb; and Zebee and Salmana. Alle the princis of hem, that seiden;
12 die da sagen: «Wir wollen die Wohnstätten Gottes für uns erobern!»
Holde we bi eritage the seyntuarie of God.
13 O Gott, setze sie dem Wirbelsturm aus, mache sie wie Stoppeln vor dem Wind;
My God, putte thou hem as a whele; and as stobil bifor the face of the wynde.
14 wie ein Feuer, das den Wald verbrennt, und wie eine Flamme, welche die Berge versengt;
As fier that brenneth a wode; and as flawme brynnynge hillis.
15 also verfolge sie mit deinem Wetter und schrecke sie mit deinem Sturm!
So thou schalt pursue hem in thi tempeste; and thou schalt disturble hem in thin ire.
16 Mache ihr Angesicht voll Schande, daß sie deinen Namen suchen, o HERR!
Lord, fille thou the faces of hem with schenschipe; and thei schulen seke thi name.
17 Laß sie beschämt und abgeschreckt werden für immer, laß sie schamrot werden und umkommen,
Be thei aschamed, and be thei disturblid in to world of world; and be thei schent and perische thei.
18 so daß sie erfahren müssen, daß du, der du HERR heißest, allein der Höchste bist über die ganze Erde!
And knowe thei, that the Lord is name to thee; thou aloone art the hiyeste in ech lond.
