Psalm 72
1 Von Salomo. O Gott, gib dein Gericht dem König und deine Gerechtigkeit dem Königssohn,
Of Solomon - O God judgments your to [the] king give and righteousness your to [the] son of [the] king.
2 daß er dein Volk richte mit Gerechtigkeit und deine Elenden nach dem Recht.
He will judge people your with righteousness and poor [people] your with justice.
3 Die Berge mögen dem Volke Frieden spenden und die Hügel, durch Gerechtigkeit.
They will carry mountains peace to the people and hills in righteousness.
4 Er schaffe den Elenden des Volkes Recht und helfe den Kindern der Armen und unterdrücke den Gewalttätigen.
He will judge - [the] poor [people] of [the] people he will save [the] children of [the] needy so he may crush [the] oppressor.
5 So wird man dich fürchten, solange die Sonne und der Mond scheint, von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht.
People will fear you with [the] sun and before [the] moon generation of generations.
6 Er wird herabkommen wie Regen auf die kahle Flur, wie Regenschauer, die das Land erweichen.
He will come down like rain on mown grass like copious showers dropping of [the] earth.
7 In seinen Tagen wird der Gerechte blühen, und Fülle von Frieden wird sein, bis kein Mond mehr ist.
He will flourish in days his [the] righteous and abundance of well-being [will be] until not [the] moon.
8 Und er wird herrschen von Meer zu Meer und vom Strom bis an die Enden der Erde.
And may he rule from sea to sea and from [the] river to [the] ends of [the] earth.
9 Vor ihm werden sich die Wüstenvölker beugen, und seine Feinde werden Staub lecken.
Before him they will bow down desert-dwellers and enemies his dust they will lick up.
10 Die Könige von Tarsis und den Inseln werden Gaben bringen, die Könige von Saba und Seba werden Geschenke senden.
[the] kings of Tarshish and [the] islands tribute they will pay [the] kings of Sheba and Seba a gift they will bring near.
11 Alle Könige werden ihn anbeten, alle Heiden werden ihm dienen.
And they may bow down to him all kings all nations they will serve him.
12 Denn er wird den Armen erretten, wenn er schreit, und den Elenden, der keinen Helfer hat.
For he will deliver [the] needy [who] cries for help and [the] poor and not a helper [belongs] to him.
13 Des Geringen und Armen wird er sich erbarmen und die Seelen der Armen erretten.
He will have compassion on [the] poor and [the] needy and [the] lives of needy [people] he will save.
14 Er wird ihre Seele von Bedrückungen und Mißhandlung erlösen, und ihr Blut wird in seinen Augen teuer sein.
From oppression and from violence he will redeem life their and may be precious blood their in view his.
15 Und er wird leben, und man wird ihm vom Gold aus Saba geben; und man wird immerdar für ihn beten, täglich wird man ihn segnen.
And may he live and he may give to him some of [the] gold of Sheba and [may] someone pray for him continually all the day may someone bless him.
16 Es wird im Lande Überfluß an Getreide sein; auf den Bergeshöhen werden seine Fruchtbäume rauschen wie der Libanon und werden blühen im Frühling wie das Kraut auf dem Land.
May it be an abundance of grain - in the land on [the] top of [the] mountains may it wave like Lebanon fruit its and may people blossom from [the] city like [the] vegetation of the earth.
17 Sein Name bleibt ewiglich, sein Ruhm wachse an der Sonne; alle Völker sollen sich segnen in seinem Namen und sollen ihn glücklich preisen!
May it be name his for ever before [the] sun (may it increase *Q(K)*) name his and may they bless themselves by him all nations may they call blessed him.
18 Gepriesen sei der HERR, der Gott Israels, der allein Wunder tut!
[be] blessed - Yahweh God [the] God of Israel [who] does wonders to only him.
19 Und gepriesen sei ewiglich der Name seiner Majestät, und die ganze Erde soll voll werden seiner Herrlichkeit! Amen, Amen!
And [be] blessed - [the] name of glory his for ever and may it be filled glory his all the earth amen - and amen.
20 Zu Ende sind die Gebete Davids, des Sohnes Isais.
