Psalm 70

1 Dem Vorsänger. Von David. Zum Gedächtnis. Eile, o Gott, mich zu erretten, HERR, mir zu helfen!

To the choirmaster of David to make remembrance. O God to deliver me O Yahweh to help my make haste!

2 Es müssen sich schämen und zuschanden werden, die mir nach dem Leben trachten; es müssen zurückweichen und schamrot werden, die mein Unglück suchen!

May they be ashamed and they may be abashed [those who] seek life my may they be turned back backwards and may they be humiliated [the] [people] desirous of harm my.

3 Es sollen sich zurückziehen, wegen ihrer eigenen Schande, die da sagen: «Ha, ha!»

May they turn back on [the] consequence of shame their those [who] say aha! - aha!

4 Es müssen fröhlich sein und sich freuen an dir alle, die dich suchen; und die dein Heil lieben, müssen immerdar sagen: Gott ist groß!

May they exult and they may rejoice - in you all [those who] seek you and they may say continually may he be great God [those who] love salvation your.

5 Ich aber bin elend und arm; o Gott, eile zu mir! Meine Hilfe und mein Retter bist du; o HERR, säume nicht!

And I - [am] poor and needy O God make haste! to me [are] help my and deliverer my you O Yahweh may not you delay.
