Psalm 46
1 Dem Vorsänger. Von den Kindern Korahs. Auf Alamoth. Ein Lied. Gott ist unsre Zuversicht und Stärke; eine Hilfe, in Nöten kräftig erfunden.
TO THE OVERSEER. BY SONS OF KORAH. FOR GIRLS’ [VOICES]. A SONG. God [is] our refuge and strength, A most sure help in adversities.
2 Darum fürchten wir uns nicht, wenn auch die Erde weicht und die Berge mitten ins Meer sinken,
Therefore we do not fear in the changing of earth, And in the slipping of mountains Into the heart of the seas.
3 wenn gleich seine Wasser wüten und toben und vor seinem Übermut die Berge zittern. (Pause)
Roar—troubled are its waters, Mountains shake in its pride. (Selah)
4 Ein Strom mit seinen Bächen erfreut die Stadt Gottes, die heiligen Wohnungen des Höchsten.
A river—its streams make glad the city of God, Your holy place of the dwelling places of the Most High.
5 Gott ist in ihrer Mitte, sie wird nicht wanken; Gott wird ihr helfen, wenn der Morgen anbricht.
God [is] in her midst—she is not moved, God helps her at the turn of the morning!
6 Die Völker tobten, die Königreiche wankten, als er seine Stimme hören ließ; und die Erde verging.
Nations have been troubled, Kingdoms have been moved, He has given forth with His voice—earth melts.
7 Mit uns aber ist der HERR der Heerscharen; der Gott Jakobs ist für uns eine feste Burg! (Pause)
YHWH of Hosts [is] with us, The God of Jacob [is] a tower for us. (Selah)
8 Kommt her, schauet die Werke des HERRN, der auf Erden Verheerungen angerichtet hat,
Come, see the works of YHWH, Who has done astonishing things in the earth,
9 der den Kriegen ein Ende macht, der den Bogen zerbricht, den Speer zerschlägt und die Wagen mit Feuer verbrennt!
Causing wars to cease, To the end of the earth, He shatters the bow, And He has cut apart the spear, He burns chariots with fire.
10 Seid stille und erkennet, daß ich Gott bin; ich will erhaben sein unter den Völkern, ich will erhaben sein auf Erden.
Desist, and know that I [am] God, I am exalted among nations, I am exalted in the earth.
11 Der HERR der Heerscharen ist mit uns, der Gott Jakobs ist unsre feste Burg! (Pause)
YHWH of hosts [is] with us, The God of Jacob [is] a tower for us! (Selah)
