Psalm 28
1 Von David. Zu dir, HERR, mein Fels, rufe ich; schweige mir nicht, auf daß nicht, wo du mir schweigst, ich denen gleich werde, die in die Grube hinabfahren!
A psalm for David himself. Unto thee will I cry, O Lord: O my God, be not thou silent to me: lest thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
2 Höre die Stimme meines Flehens, wenn ich zu dir rufe, wenn ich meine Hände aufhebe zum Sprachort deines Heiligtums.
Hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication, when I pray to thee; when I lift up my hands to thy holy temple.
3 Laß mich nicht weggerafft werden mit den Gottlosen und mit den Übeltätern, die mit ihren Nächsten friedlich reden und doch Böses im Sinne haben!
Draw me not away together with the wicked; and with the workers of iniquity destroy me not: Who speak peace with their neighbour, but evils are in their hearts.
4 Gib ihnen nach ihrem Tun und nach der Schlechtigkeit ihrer Handlungen; gib ihnen nach den Werken ihrer Hände, vergilt ihnen, wie sie es verdient haben.
Give them according to their works, and according to the wickedness of their inventions. According to the works of their hands give thou to them: render to them their reward.
5 Denn sie achten nicht auf das Tun des HERRN, noch auf das Werk seiner Hände; er wolle sie zerstören und nicht bauen!
Because they have not understood the works of the Lord, and the operations of his hands: thou shalt destroy them, and shalt not build them up.
6 Gelobt sei der HERR, denn er hat die Stimme meines Flehens erhört!
Blessed be the Lord, for he hath heard the voice of my supplication.
7 Der HERR ist meine Stärke und mein Schild; auf ihn hat mein Herz vertraut und mir wurde geholfen. Darum frohlockt mein Herz, und mit meinem Liede will ich ihm danken.
The Lord is my helper and my protector: in him hath my heart confided, and I have been helped. And my flesh hath flourished again, and with my will I will give praise to him.
8 Der HERR ist seines Volkes Kraft und die rettende Zuflucht seines Gesalbten.
The Lord is the strength of his people, and the protector of the salvation of his anointed.
9 Rette dein Volk und segne dein Erbe und weide und trage sie bis in Ewigkeit!
Save, O Lord, thy people, and bless thy inheritance: and rule them and exalt them for ever.
