Psalm 132
1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Gedenke, o HERR, dem David alle seine Mühen,
A Song of Ascents. Remember, O Yahweh, unto David, all his humiliations!
2 daß er dem HERRN schwur und dem Mächtigen Jakobs gelobte:
What he Sware to Yahweh, —Vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 Ich will nicht in das Zelt meines Hauses gehen, noch auf das Lager meines Bettes steigen,
Surely I will not enter the home of my own house, nor ascend my curtained couch;
4 ich will meinen Augen keinen Schlaf und meinen Augenlidern keinen Schlummer gönnen,
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor, to mine eye-lashes, slumber:
5 bis ich eine Stätte gefunden habe für den HERRN, eine Wohnung für den Mächtigen Jakobs!
Until I find a place for Yahweh, habitations for the Mighty One of Jacob.
6 Siehe, wir hörten, sie sei zu Ephrata; wir haben sie gefunden im Gefilde von Jear!
Lo! we heard of it at Ephrathah, we found it in the fields of the wood.
7 Wir wollen kommen zu seiner Wohnung, wir wollen anbeten beim Schemel seiner Füße!
We would enter his habitations, we would bow down at his footstool.
8 HERR, mache dich auf zu deiner Ruhestatt, du und die Lade deiner Macht!
Arise! O Yahweh, unto thy place of rest, Thou, and the ark of thy strength.
9 Deine Priester sollen sich in Gerechtigkeit kleiden, und deine Frommen sollen jubeln.
Thy priests, let them be clothed with righteousness, Thy men of lovingkindness, let them shout for joy!
10 Um Davids, deines Knechtes willen weise nicht ab das Angesicht deines Gesalbten!
For the sake of David thy servant, do not turn away the face of thine Anointed One.
11 Der HERR hat David in Wahrheit geschworen, davon wird er nicht abgehen: «Von der Frucht deines Leibes will ich setzen auf deinen Thron!
Yahweh hath sworn unto David, in faithfulness, will he not turn from it, —Of the fruit of thy body, will I seat on thy throne.
12 Werden deine Söhne meinen Bund bewahren und meine Zeugnisse, die ich sie lehren will, so sollen auch ihre Söhne für immer sitzen auf deinem Thron!»
If thy sons keep my covenant, and my testimony which I will teach them, even their sons, unto futurity, shall sit on thy throne.
13 Denn der HERR hat Zion erwählt und sie zu seiner Wohnung begehrt:
For Yahweh hath chosen Zion, —He hath desired it as a dwelling for himself:
14 «Dies ist für immer meine Ruhestatt, hier will ich wohnen; denn so habe ich es begehrt.
This, is my place of rest unto futurity, Here, will I dwell, for I have desired it;
15 Ihre Nahrung will ich reichlich segnen, ihre Armen sättigen mit Brot.
Her provision, will I abundantly bless, Her needy ones, will I satisfy with bread;
16 Ihre Priester will ich mit Heil bekleiden, und ihre Frommen sollen jubeln.
And, her priests, will I clothe with salvation, and, her men of lovingkindness, shall, shout aloud, for joy;
17 Dort will ich dem David ein Horn hervorsprossen lassen, eine Leuchte zurichten meinem Gesalbten.
There, will I cause to bud a horn to David, I have prepared a lamp for mine Anointed One;
18 Seine Feinde will ich mit Schande bekleiden; aber auf ihm soll seine Krone glänzen!»
His enemies, will I clothe with shame, but, upon himself, shall his crown be resplendent.
