Psalm 115
1 Nicht uns, HERR, nicht uns, sondern deinem Namen gib Ehre, um deiner Gnade und Treue willen!
Not vnto vs, O Lord, not vnto vs, but vnto thy Name giue the glorie, for thy louing mercie and for thy truethes sake.
2 Warum sollen die Heiden sagen: «Wo ist denn ihr Gott?»
Wherefore shall the heathen say, Where is nowe their God?
3 Aber unser Gott ist ja im Himmel; er tut alles, was er will.
But our God is in heauen: he doeth what so euer he will.
4 Ihre Götzen sind Silber und Gold, von Menschenhänden gemacht.
Their idoles are siluer and golde, euen the worke of mens hands.
5 Sie haben einen Mund und reden nicht, sie haben Augen und sehen nicht;
They haue a mouth and speake not: they haue eyes and see not.
6 Ohren haben sie und hören nicht, eine Nase haben sie und riechen nicht;
They haue eares and heare not: they haue noses and smelll not.
7 Hände haben sie und greifen nicht, Füße haben sie und gehen nicht; mit ihrer Kehle geben sie keinen Laut.
They haue handes and touche not: they haue feete and walke not: neither make they a sound with their throte.
8 Ihnen sind gleich, die sie machen, alle, die auf sie vertrauen.
They that make them are like vnto them: so are all that trust in them.
9 Israel, vertraue auf den HERRN! Er ist ihre Hilfe und ihr Schild.
O Israel, trust thou in the Lord: for he is their helpe and their shielde.
10 Haus Aaron, vertraue auf den HERRN! Er ist ihre Hilfe und ihr Schild.
O house of Aaron, trust ye in the Lord: for he is their helpe and their shielde.
11 Die ihr den HERRN fürchtet, vertrauet auf den HERRN! Er ist ihre Hilfe und ihr Schild.
Ye that feare the Lord, trust in the Lord: for he is their helper and their shield.
12 Der HERR wolle unser gedenken; er wolle segnen! Er segne das Haus Israel, er segne das Haus Aaron!
The Lord hath bene mindfull of vs: he will blesse, he will blesse the house of Israel, he will blesse the house of Aaron.
13 Er segne, die den HERRN fürchten, die Kleinen samt den Großen!
He will blesse them that feare the Lord, both small and great.
14 Der HERR wolle euch mehren, euch und eure Kinder!
The Lord will increase his graces towarde you, euen toward you and toward your children.
15 Gesegnet seid ihr vom HERRN, der Himmel und Erde gemacht hat.
Ye are blessed of the Lord, which made the heauen and the earth.
16 Der Himmel gehört dem HERRN; aber die Erde hat er den Menschenkindern gegeben.
The heauens, euen the heauens are the Lordes: but he hath giuen the earth to the sonnes of men.
17 Die Toten rühmen den HERRN nicht und keiner, der zur Stille hinabfährt.
The dead prayse not the Lord, neither any that goe downe into the place of silence.
18 Wir aber wollen den HERRN preisen von nun an bis in Ewigkeit. Hallelujah!
But we will prayse the Lord from henceforth and for euer. Prayse ye the Lord.
