Psalm 111

1 Hallelujah! Ich will den HERRN loben von ganzem Herzen im Kreise der Redlichen und in der Gemeinde.

Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with [my] whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and [in] the congregation.

2 Groß sind die Werke des HERRN, erforscht von allen, die sie lieben.

The works of the LORD [are] great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

3 Glänzend und prächtig ist sein Tun, und seine Gerechtigkeit besteht ewiglich.

His work [is] honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4 Er hat ein Gedächtnis seiner Wunder gestiftet; gnädig und barmherzig ist der HERR.

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD [is] gracious and full of compassion.

5 Er hat Speise gegeben denen, die ihn fürchten, seines Bundes wird er ewiglich gedenken.

He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

6 Er hat seinem Volk seine kraftvollen Taten kundgetan, da er ihnen das Erbe der Heiden gab.

He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

7 Die Werke seiner Hände sind treu und gerecht, alle seine Verordnungen unwandelbar,

The works of his hands [are] verity and judgment; all his commandments [are] sure.

8 bestätigt für immer und ewig, ausgeführt in Treue und Redlichkeit.

They stand fast for ever and ever, [and are] done in truth and uprightness.

9 Er hat seinem Volk Erlösung gesandt, auf ewig verordnet seinen Bund; heilig und furchtbar ist sein Name.

He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend [is] his name.

10 Die Furcht des HERRN ist der Weisheit Anfang; sie macht alle klug, die sie üben. Sein Ruhm besteht ewiglich.

The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do [his commandments: ] his praise endureth for ever.
