Psalm 110

1 Ein Psalm Davids. Der HERR sprach zu meinem Herrn: Setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis ich deine Feinde hinlege als Schemel deiner Füße!

Psalm of David. Jehovah said unto my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I put thine enemies [as] footstool of thy feet.

2 Der HERR wird das Zepter deiner Macht ausstrecken von Zion: Herrsche inmitten deiner Feinde!

Jehovah shall send the sceptre of thy might out of Zion: rule in the midst of thine enemies.

3 Dein Volk kommt freiwillig am Tage deines Kriegszuges; in heiligem Schmuck, aus dem Schoß der Morgenröte, tritt der Tau deiner Jungmannschaft hervor.

Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in holy splendour: from the womb of the morning [shall come] to thee the dew of thy youth.

4 Der HERR hat geschworen und wird es nicht bereuen: Du bist Priester in Ewigkeit nach der Weise Melchisedeks!

Jehovah hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art priest for ever after the order of Melchisedek.

5 Der Herr, zu deiner Rechten, hat Könige zerschmettert am Tage seines Zorns.

The Lord at thy right hand will smite through kings in the day of his anger.

6 Er wird richten unter den Nationen, es wird viele Leichname geben, er zerschmettert das Haupt über ein großes Land.

He shall judge among the nations; he shall fill [all places] with dead bodies; he shall smite through the head over a great country.

7 Er wird trinken vom Bach am Wege; darum wird er das Haupt erheben.

He shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore shall he lift up the head.
