Sprueche 13
1 Ein weiser Sohn hört auf des Vaters Zucht, ein Spötter nicht einmal aufs Schelten.
A son wise [the] discipline of a father and a mocker not he listens to a rebuke.
2 Von der Frucht seines Mundes ißt einer Gutes, falsche Seelen aber [werden gesättigt mit] Frevel.
From [the] fruit of [the] mouth of a person he eats good thing[s] and [the] appetite of treacherous [people] [is] violence.
3 Wer auf seinen Mund achtgibt, behütet seine Seele; wer aber immer das Maul aufsperrt, tut's zu seinem Unglück.
[one who] guards Mouth his [is] protecting life his [one who] opens lips his ruin [belongs] to him.
4 Der Faule wünscht sich viel und hat doch nichts; die Seele der Fleißigen aber wird fett.
[is] coveting And nothing appetite his a sluggard and [the] appetite of diligent [people] it will be made fat.
5 Der Gerechte haßt die Verleumdungen; aber der Gottlose verursacht Schande und Spott.
A word of falsehood he hates a righteous [person] and a wicked [person] he acts odiously and he may act shamefully.
6 Die Gerechtigkeit bewahrt den Unschuldigen; die Gottlosigkeit aber stürzt den Sünder ins Verderben.
Righteousness it preserves integrity of way and wickedness it subverts sin.
7 Einer stellt sich reich und hat doch gar nichts, ein anderer stellt sich arm und besitzt doch viel.
There [is one who] enriches himself and there not [is] anything [one who] impoverishes himself and wealth great.
8 Mit seinem Reichtum kann jemand sich das Leben retten; ein Armer aber bekommt keine Drohungen zu hören.
[the] ransom of [the] life of A person [is] wealth his and a poor [person] not he hears a threat.
9 Das Licht der Gerechten wird hell brennen; die Leuchte der Gottlosen aber wird erlöschen.
[the] light of Righteous [people] it rejoices and [the] lamp of wicked [people] it is extinguished.
10 Durch Übermut entsteht nur Zank, wo man sich aber raten läßt, da wohnt Weisheit.
Only with pride it gives contention and [is] with [those who] receive advice wisdom.
11 Was man mühelos gewinnt, das zerrinnt; was man aber mit der Hand sammelt, das mehrt sich.
Wealth from vanity it will become small and [one who] gathers on hand he will increase.
12 Langes Harren macht das Herz krank; ein erfüllter Wunsch aber ist ein Baum des Lebens.
Hope deferred [is] making sick [the] heart and [is] a tree of life a desire [which] comes.
13 Wer die Mahnung verachtet, wird von ihr gepfändet; wer aber das Gebot fürchtet, wird belohnt.
[one who] despises A word he will be pledged to it and [one] fearing a commandment he he will be rewarded.
14 Die Lehre des Weisen ist eine Quelle des Lebens, daß man meide die Stricke des Todes.
[the] instruction of A wise [person] [is] a fountain of life to turn aside from [the] snares of death.
15 Guter Verstand erwirbt Gunst; aber der Weg der Heuchler ist schwierig.
Insight good it gives favor and [the] way of treacherous [people] [is] enduring.
16 Der Kluge tut alles mit Vernunft; aber der Tor verbreitet Dummheiten.
Every sensible [person] he acts with knowledge and a fool he spreads out foolishness.
17 Ein gottloser Bote stürzt ins Unglück, aber ein treuer Zeuge bringt Heilung.
A messenger wicked he falls in trouble and an envoy of faithfulness [is] healing.
18 Wer aus der Schule läuft, gerät in Armut und Schande; wer aber auf Zurechtweisungen achtet, kommt zu Ehren.
Poverty and shame [one who] ignores discipline and [one who] keeps correction he is honored.
19 Die Befriedigung eines Verlangens tut der Seele wohl; aber vom Bösen zu weichen, ist den Toren ein Greuel.
A desire done (is pleasing *LAH(b)*) to a person and [is] an abomination of fools to turn aside from evil.
20 Der Umgang mit den Weisen macht dich weise; wer aber an den Narren Wohlgefallen hat, wird in Sünde fallen.
([one who] walks *Q(K)*) With wise [people] (he will become wise *Q(K)*) and [one who] associates with fools he will be harmed.
21 Das Unglück verfolgt die Sünder, den Gerechten aber wird Gutes vergolten.
Sinners it pursues calamity and righteous [people] it rewards good.
22 Was ein guter Mensch hinterläßt, geht über auf Kindeskinder; das Vermögen des Sünders aber wird für den Gerechten aufgespart.
A good [person] he leaves an inheritance to children of children and [is] stored up for the righteous [the] wealth of a sinner.
23 Oft wäre viel Speise in den Furchen der Armen; aber man nimmt sie ihnen weg gegen alles Recht!
Abundance of food [the] unplowed ground of poor [people] and there [is what] is swept away in not justice.
24 Wer seine Rute spart, der haßt seinen Sohn; wer ihn aber liebhat, der züchtigt ihn beizeiten.
[one who] restrains Rod his [is] hating son his and [one who] loves him he seeks early him discipline.
25 Der Gerechte ißt, bis er satt ist; der Gottlosen Bauch aber hat nie genug.
A righteous [person] [is] eating to [the] satiety of appetite his and [the] belly of wicked [people] it is lacking.
